👓 Chapter 36 : Dreams and brothers.

Warning!!! Rt 18+

Legs wrapped against his torso, her hand around his neck, his green eyes became dark in lust and she caught sneaking peeks at her boobs.

"I missed you so much, Wrennie birdie." He said "and I don't think you'd allow me do this to you again. I'll just take my chances."

He bent his head and connected their lips together, she dipped her hands into his hair, tugging at it, the kiss was more tantalizing than the first one they had. She hoped no one was going to interrupt them this time around as their kiss deepened, his tongue fully in her mouth, she moaned at the effect coupled with the effect of his hand on her bare skin, it caused fire all over her body. She longed for him, his touch, all of him. His hand travelled to her back, He was smiling, she could feel it as his mouth was on her neck, sucking at the soft spot. Sending electric waves all over her body and she moaned again this was pure pleasure!

She didn't know how she got this bad, must be the books she read, the feeling was even hotter in reality. She wanted more, she wanted to get closer... When a voice again disrupted them —

"Wow, Wren. You're not who I thought you were!"

She heard a voice. It wasn't Tristan's, it was Ryder! Then she recalled when she called him to come pick her.

"Fuck off!" Tristan swore. It was obvious he hated the interruption.

Wren was too embarrassed, she immediately wore her clothes and ran after the retrieving figure of Ryder.

"I'm so sorry, Ryder!"

Then she woke up. She had been turning on her bed. She sat up, wondering why she had a sex dream about Tristan. She had left him at the pool side yesterday when she called Ryder to come drop her off.

Everything she did in that dream was opposite of what she's do in reality. She couldn't believe she was dreaming of Tristan in that way, and not Ryder.

Then she heard a knock at her door again. She was tired of hearing her mother knock.

"I don't want to speak with you!"

"It's me, Travis."

She plopped down from her bed and went to open the door, only to find her brother in his Pjs the boy hardly wore this, but he looked so cute in them. Her heart ached when something tug behind it, Travis wasn't really her brother, He was her half brother.

She had thought everything would be normal, life would go on like it always had, their relationship would remain unfazed, but that wasn't the case. There was something certain information did to you, they could either give or take something from you, they are capable of changing one's life forever. One day, someone thinks he has his life planned out but the next day, certain information changes their mind, change the way they think, the way they act towards people and themselves.

She knew exactly how Travis felt, like the left out one in his family. First, his twin dies and next, his father.. His sister wasn't truly his sister and his mother had been keeping a huge secret from him. Wren knew how he felt, she could read them off his soft baby blue eyes, and he had been withdrawn and unbearably quiet the night their mother announced in the dinning table. He had run off, not without leaving the words, "Are you even truly my mother?"then, "shitty family. " Under his breath.

But now, he went along with his mother, she was his mother, after all, but things had been pretty awkward between them and she hated it.

"Hey sister,"

Okay, what was that?

He picked up One of the gift bags Wren had thrown towards her closet, it laid there, coupled with hundreds more of them. Wren looked at them and rolled her eyes, slumping back into her bed.

"Don't tell me you haven't been using any of these. "  His eyes widened in surprise.

"No, I'm not. I've given away most of them off for charity. "

"You've got to be freaking kidding me! ' he turned to her, 'Rejecting Richards gifts isn't going to make him any less of your dad. "

Hearing those words from Travis made her heart skip a bit. He had gotten comfortable with the fact that someone who they knew nothing about came one day, announce shelf as her father. And she didn't know why it made her feel like Travis wasn't her brother anymore and she hated the feeling.

"He is not my father. I can't believe you're even saying that! And I cannot take gifts from strangers. "

Shocked at her confession, his eyes turned back to the bags again and started removing all the gifts from the bags, items ranging from shoes, clothes, watches and jewelries spilled out from the bags, and her room looked like a shopping mall.

"You've got to be freaking kidding me! These clothes and bags and shoes can buy our house ten times and you say you give them off for charity? "

"I'm not materialistic and I don't need his money. "

"Who said anything about being materialistic? And since when did taking gifts from your father become materialistic? You could as well return all the gifts dad gave to you on your birthdays and other celebrations as well. And, you don't need his money, huh? You could as well quit Caves High. "

She narrowed her eyes at him, "Caves High? How does that have anything to do with —"

Then, it clicked. Richard was behind all of this. The expensive school, the rich life. She should have known this before now, was that also why mother had come here? Did their father know about this too?

I'm such a fool

"This isn't time to over think things, Wren. I mean, you don't even have what to wear for senior prom and here you are, throwing what you have away. Sometimes I think I'm way older than you. "

Wren smiled, this wasn't the first time Travis said something like this.

"You need to let things go. Holding unto things this way wouldn't help anyone, instead you keep endangering your life. "

"Then, they shouldn't have kept such a huge secret from me! I have the right to know! I'm caught in the middle of all this now. "

"They're adults, and they wanted what was best for you. You haven't even heard from mom, to know her own side of the story

"So, you're trying to say that you've forgiven mom for what she did, right? Is that it? "

"And why would I stay mad at her for long? You really have to talk to her, mom is miserable. " He said finally then dived into another bag and brought out a box

"You know, I've been getting my own portion of gifts too. "

She folded her arms, pouting. For some reason she thought it was only her that was getting all of these, then she almost slapped herself for even thinking that.

"I know." She lied, rolling her eyes.

"I told ya. Stop doing that." Mock horror plastered on his face. Then he stood up to leave.

"Where are you going to?"
She asked, she wanted to spend more time with her brother. It had been too long they spent quality time together. And she wanted to be with him, to show him that she was on his side, and would do anything for him.

"I have school today, dimwit. PS Mom said Richard and his hot daughter are coming over for dinner."

"Why?" She stopped herself from shouting.

"To get to know the family." And he left, before she could utter another word.

Things became awkward for Wren as the dream from last night kept replaying in her head. She loved the feeling she got from the dream, it felt so real and she had never been in a compromising situation as that before. She couldn't understand why she started feeling hot all of sudden and staring into space and doing and feeling thing that we're out of place. Just like she was now.

Tristan sat in front of her in English class and she started noticing every tiny detail about him. How curly and soft his hair looked, that she wondered how it would feel under her palm. How his cologne was strong and filled the whole room, she wanted to hold him and inhale his scent. How he clicked his neck whenever he was faced with a difficult question. She awkwardly wanted to touch him, to see if his skin was as hot as hers, whether goose bumps were rising from his skin when she comes close to him.

But then she didn't fail to forget how things ended with them yesterday. How she provoked him by saying he was just like his father. Her words had hurt him more than she thought it would, and she felt bad. She saw his eyes go red and glassy with tears, but then he looked up to keep the tears in. He didn't want to cry in front of her, although she was totally okay with it. She wasn't going to mock him for it, neither was she going to take him for granted.

She didn't know what he had recalled that made him walk out of the pool, the smirk that was once plastered on his face we're replaced with a long, sad face. She noticed how long and muscular his legs we're when he walked out of the pool, got a towel, dried himself and wore his clothes and left.

She understood at that moment that all he wanted was to make peace with her, just the way her mother wanted to make things right, but she kept ignoring her.

For some reason, she didn't want to let go of her father—quasi father. Who had shown her so much love, and had always been there for her more than her own real father. And why her mother moved on so fast, like everything was okay, like nothing happened before then. An ill thought crossed her, although she knew it wasn't true, bit she didn't like the way she felt, like her mother wanted Ashton dead all the while, maybe him and his sickness we're becoming a burden on her.

But then her mother's picture flashed in her head, how devastated she had looked when Ashton died and she felt sorry for thinking her mother was a beast.

When the bell went for the next class, before Wren was able to stop Tristan, Mona showed up. She hugged her from behind, and she couldn't get any more angry.

"Let go, Mona."

"I'm sorry for being an insensitive friend."

At that moment, she recalled her fight with Mona. She thought she was doing the right thing, yes she was, but at the wrong time as Tristan slung his school bag on his back and left the classroom. She struggled to get free from Mona's grip to no avail.

"No. I won't let you go until you forgive me."

She felt something wet on her back, which she recognized was tears from Mona. She forgot her friend could be dramatic sometimes, it both amused and upset her at the same time. Since she had already missed Tristan, she turned to her.

"I forgive you, Mona." She gave the fakest smile. She had to meet Tristan as soon as possible. There were many things she had to say and do to him, and the only way to make these happen was to tell Mona what she wanted to hear.

"Are you sure? "
The blonde blinked skeptically.

"Yes. I could never be angry with you for too long, you know." She giggled, slapping Mona's arm lightly. Mona raised her eyebrows at her. Everyone knew Wren wasn't the most forgiving person, but then she let it slide.

"So, can we hang out—"

She looked really impatient, as she kept staring at her wrist watch. "I really have to go now, Mona."

With that, she dashed past her, leaving the surprised Mona to her thoughts, thinking if Wren really forgave her or not.

That didn't matter to Wren as she pushed through the crowd, following the blue jacket that was once sat in front of her.

There!

She saw him again, walking down the hallway, he was pushing through the left, to the stairwell, it looked like he was going to his next class. And she didn't have any classes that way, but she had to talk to him before then.

"Hey babe."

A figure bumped into her, which made her jerk in surprise and anger as she looked again and found out he had disappeared.
She looked at the face that made her miss the person she was following, a frown laced on her face.

Even if he had the brightest smile on his face, it wasn't enough to wipe off her frown stained face. It reflected on his face as his smile faltered.

"What is it?"

"Its nothing."

She shook her head, resting her palm on her forehead as if holding back a headache. She saw he wasn't buying it, as he followed where her eyes tread, looking behind him.

"Its obviously not nothing. Talk to me. "

He held her hand as they started walking down to their next class.

"Its just Mona." She lied.

"Mona?" His forehead folded. "I just saw her a couple minutes ago and she seemed... Pissed." He bent to search her eyes, "Anything going on between you two I know nothing about?"

"Nah. Its fine now." She tucked a strand of her hair behind her left ear. She clicked her lips. "So, you seemed super excited. What's it about?"

Just then, she felt bad for having wanted to ruin his mood as his gracious smile returned fully, it was so bright, it could lit a room.

"I get to stay for the summer. My parents and I we're having this arguments, they wanted me to come to South Korea immediately after graduation. I was able to convince them into staying her longer. For the summer, at least. Equals, more time with you!"

He seemed pretty excited about it all. She smiled back with him, weeks ago, she would jump at this and hug him and start mentioning places they would tour during the summer. But now, it seemed off, not right, unfair and it made her stomach churn as the dream from last night resurfaced in her memory.

"Yes! I'm so happy." She tried her beat to look excited, but the words came out dryly, and he immediately grasped what she was saying.

"What is really wrong, Wren? You seem... Off today. Is it your mom? Did you make up with her? "

His eyes were searching hers now, trying to figure her out.

"No, my mom is fine. In fact we're having dinner together with Mr Richard later this evening. We've come to a decision. Travis should be the one feeling out of pace here, not me."

"I'm relieved you finally settled with your mom. I wouldn't have my girlfriend not talking with her mother. " He winked, a wry smile settling on his lips. Wren soon caught on, her eyes wide in surprise.

"Come back here! What did you just say? " laughter playing on her lips as she tried to playfully nudge him and he dodged it, slipping away.

As she ran after him, she wondered what it was with boys running away from her today.
