You're story was written very well, yet it was sort of plain and didn't have the suspense I was looking for. The idea you used for the eavesdropping was well thought out, but the ending plot twist wasn't much of a shocker to me. I wasn't exactly expecting that they would get a bad grade, but it wasn't a big plot twist either. Good try! :)

Great job on winning this bill! First, I'd like to point out that the way the main character narrated the story in the beginning was cute and very quirky. Secondly, the plot twist took me aback when I read it because I wasn't expecting the seventh grader who was beaten up by the school bully to have been the girl's brother. And the fact that he had been killed by the bully was very shocking. Amazing job! :)
