Y/N's POV
"Hey ev?" I ask while my best friend Evan, is pulling me to......i don't even know!! ( You are both 9 in this chapter) "yeah?"he says looking back at me. "Where are we going?" I say."park."
He simply says i then look at the sign that said: park
We walked to where the fountain was. He then pulled a box out of his backpack i look at the box, then at him. He opened it and there were two necklaces. "Happy early birthday!" He says handing me one that said "Evan Fong"
I smiled " thanks ev!!!" I say hugging him i pull away to see him blushing? ,ok then (im not good at this :,( ) i then help him put on the other necklace it said:
"Y/N L/N" Evan then looked up " its getting dark we should probably go home" he says and i nod as we begin to walk towards Evan's house. Our parents are really good friends so i knew Evan since i was three.
******time skip********
We got to Evan's house and the door was wide open. " um did one of us leave the door open?" I ask. "No, we went out the garage." He says walking towards the door. Once we walked in i saw something terrifying, our parents on the floor, bleeding. " M-mom , d-dad" i stuttered ,tears leaking out of my eyes. A man wearing all black clothes walked down the stairs. Me and Evan both hid behind the couch.
Third person POV
The man looked at the two children smirking " hello , children " the children didn't answer. The man frowns , then pulls out a bloody knife and walks towards the couch. In a matter of seconds the two children ran out the door. They ran as far as their legs let them, they stopped ,breathing heavy the look at each other ,once they did they saw that they were alone. They got separated.

Y/N looked around, terrified shouting for her friend but no one heard her. Then a terrifying  thought came to mind: what if they didn't get separated, but one of them got caught. Y/N sat on the sidewalk, her knees to her chest and cried , because of her parents... And because she thought that her best friend, the one she knew since she was a toddler
was dead.

Evan looked around, desprate to find his friend. He then got an idea he walked catioulsly to his neighbors house and knocked on the door the man opened the door and looked down at the boy. " hello Evan, why are you out at this time?" The boy simply said: " call the police
****time skip******
The police soon arrived and asked what happened
Evan explained and the police asked the boy if he had any family outside of his parents. Evan had a older sister named jenny (random name) who lived in Willows an city in America. Once he told the police officer she nodded and told him to wait and called a social worker.
