Chapter 43
The next morning Akina was woken up at the crack of dawn alongside her classmates. Compared to her classmates, Akina was the only one who looked alert, though it only made sense since she was used to early mornings thanks to certain jobs with Fairy Tail, not to mention her Security jobs messed up her sleep schedule.
"Good morning ladies and gentlemen." Aizawa said. "Today we will begin training to increase your strength. The goal of this training camp is to increase everyone's strength and with that, for everyone to obtain their provisional licenses. It is to prepare you all to face hostilities that are becoming more real by the minute. Proceed carefully."
Their licenses. Akina thought to herself as she looked around at her classmates. That will be fun.
Aizawa tossed a ball to Bakugo, it looked like the same type of measuring ball Akina had seen inside one of the storage closets inside one of the gyms. "So Bakugo, try throwing that."
"This is from the fitness test." Bakugo said.
"Your previous record, from right after you started school, was 705.2 meters. Let's see how much you'd improved."
Bakugo nodded and stepped in front of the group. He reeled his arm back, "Then, here I go... Go to hell!" He shouted, throwing the ball with a giant explosion to boost the distance of it. Akina watched as the ball flew through the air and landed somewhere among the trees— there was no way they were finding that ball again easily.
"709.6 meters." Aizawa stated.
That's it? I can totally throw that ball further than that without the use of my magic. Akina though, Though that isn't much of a surprise, I am way stronger than a lot of people in this world.
"It's been about three months since you started high school. Through various experiences, you all have definitely improved. But that improvement has mainly been at the mental and technical levels, with some increase in stamina. As you can see, your quirks themselves have not improved that much. That's why we will work on improving your Quirks starting today." A smile creeped onto his face, "It'll be so hard you'll feel like dying, but try not to actually die."
At that, a grin appeared on Akina's face, excitement building up as she thought of what this training camp would throw at her.

"Aizawa come on! You can't just have me lifting up these stupid boulders with my vines and seeing how far I can throw them! It's doing nothing for me!" Akina said, looking up at Aizawa with an annoyed expression. She had expected hellish training from this camp, and all she's doing is something she's been doing since she was three. It was times like these that she wished Aizawa knew that what she had wasn't a quirk and instead magic.
"It's strengthening the vines you can create, and hopefully by the end of this camp you'll be able to create more than just vines."
Akina sputtered, "More than just vines?! I can do that now! What do you want? Branches? Bramble? You want a rose bush? Have a rose bush!" Akina said, creating everything she named behind her with ease. "I need more of a challenge!" She glanced to see where Shoji was before leaning in and whisper yelling, "I'm hired security for a reason, Aizawa. I don't need this childs play that you call training!"
"You're also undercover. If I give you training that's more advanced than what everyone else in the class is doing it'll raise suspicion. It's irrational to do that."
"Unless they don't see me." Akina said, "Look, I can train in the forest where no one will see me. It's perfect! I can do more advanced training and none of the students will see me. Please, Aizawa! I actually want to improve during this camp!"
Aizawa looked at her then let out a tired sigh. "Fine. You can go into the forest. Just don't stray too far."
"Awesome!" Akina said, pumping her fist into the air before she started to run off. Though just before she entered the forest she looked back at Aizawa, "Oh, and if you hear any explosions, don't come running, I had meant to do that." With those words, she ran into the forest and to a secluded spot in the forest.
After seeing the Earth beasts that Pixie Bob made, Akina wanted to try to create them herself. Taking a deep breath, Akina knelt down and placed her hands on the ground, a magic circle appearing where the two met. She watched as the ground in front of her shifted and rose, merging together and creating a beast of pure Earth. She flicked her wrist and sharp teeth made of rocks spiked out of the mouth. It looked like the perfect beast.
"Now all I need to do is figure out how to make it move." She muttered to herself. Thinking of Pixie Bob, Akina assumed the pro hero used her quirk to move the beasts, so she was the one in control. Raising her left hand, Akina watched as the beast rose it's left forearm, doing the same with her left she watched as the beast's left forearm rose, the creature supporting itself on it's back legs.
Akina grinned and swiped her forearm, watching as the beast swung at a nearby boulder and crushed it with ease. Seeing the destruction it caused Akina's eyes started to shine. This was a game changer. After Experimenting with what she could create, she found that if she infused the beast with areal magic it could fly into the air with ease as opposed to the gliding that Pixie Bob's creatures did the day before.
After destroying the last beast, an idea came to Akina and the earth started to shift and rise, slowly creating another beast, though this one wasn't just any random beast, slowly it took shape and it wasn't long before a dragon was standing in front of her.
"Dad." Akina whispered to herself, looking at the creature with a sad smile.
The dragon stood tall, tree trunks growing out of it's head and curving backwards, ending in branches and leaves, the two horn-like trunks tangling together. Along the creature's back, rocks jutted out like spikes until the end of the tail, where the rocks had clumped together. Giant wings spanned outwards, leaves connecting each outstretched finger on the wings. Vines and moss wrapped around the creature, making it look ancient. In front of Akina was an almost perfect replica of the Nature Dragon King, Geo.
It's been years since she last saw him, when he first disappeared she spent every waking moment looking for him for at least two years, until she found Fairy Tail when she was eight. She slowly stopped looking for him and had eventually decided to stop her search all together. Sure, she still investigated if she heard anything relating to him, but it hadn't been her main priority.
Suddenly an idea came to mind, and Akina ran up to the replica and got herself up onto it's back by making the wing act as a rail. Sitting on it's back, she placed her hands on the dragon and a very pale magic circle appeared, the dragon springing into action and flying up into the air. Akina grinned and started to laugh, being brought back to when she would ride on Gio's back as a little girl. The dragon stopped and hovered in the air, Akina looking over the forest.
She could see her classmates training not too far away. Iida was still running along the mountain path, Sero was still shooting tape off the cliff side— she could hear him even though she was thousands of feet up in the air— Ojiro and Kirishima were still fighting, Bakugo was still setting off explosions, and on some of them she could feel the heat from where she was, and she could see Aizawa standing against some trees watching all of his students.
Akina let out a soft sigh, all of her classmates were working hard to be the best heroes they could be, it was obvious from how seriously they were taking their training. Though if anyone from this world tried to fight off any dark wizard, they'd be outmatched and defeated in a heartbeat. While there were similarities between the two worlds, it went without saying that some of the people in Fiore could wipe out the entire population of this world with a single spell.
It was strange to think that she just might be the strongest person in this world at the moment, unless there was some kind of villain who could prove to be stronger than she was, though she doubted she would find a villain like that.
Placing her hands back onto the Gio replica she made the dragon swoop downwards and land back into the clearing, jumping off and watching as it stood idle, staring into the distance blankly. She took a deep breath and raised her hand, the dragon slowly disassembling itself and the pieces of earth returning to their spots in the ground. Once he was gone, Akina stared blankly at the spot he had just been standing, a longing in her heart as she thought of her dragon foster parent.
Taking a deep breath to try to get rid of that feeling, Akina started to think about what she could improve. She had left the book of spells back at the house so she didn't have that to go over mainly so none of her classmates got their hands on it. She also wanted to see if she could improve on her dragon slayer magic.
So hopefully, by the end of the camp Akina would be stronger than she ever was before.
