Chapter 23
As her classmates stopped alongside the crowd of people, but Akina just kept running- despite some her of classmates shouting at her to stop. Once she got to the back of the crowd of pros, she jumped in the air and soared over them, her gaze landing on a familiar lightning-scared face man.
"Laxus!"

Laxus grunted as Akina tackled him, wrapping her arms around his neck and hanging from it, a wide grin on her face.
"Hayashi, do you know this man?" Someone asked and Akina turned to look at Midnight.
Akina nodded and dropped to the ground. "Yeah! He's uh... a relative of mine, Dreyar Laxus! I guess he was visiting for the Sports Festival but got lost. Right, Scar face?" She asked as she gave him a 'play along' look.
Laxus just grunted and crossed his arms.
"Miss Hayashi, if you would, I'd like to speak to you and Mr. Dreyar here in private." Nezu said. As he squeezed through the crowd.
"Ah, of course. Lead the way." Akina answered.
The two of them followed the mouse principal through the now parted crowd. They ended up in recovery girl's office which was the most private room they could get.
"So, I'm assuming Dreyar here is from your world?" He asked.
Akina nodded. "Yep! He's from my guild too!"
"So that means he uses magic?"
Akina nodded.
"Hey, rat man. Stop talking about me like I'm not here." Laxus said, leaning forwards to get a better look at Nezu. "What even are you? An exceed of some kind?"
"I'm not an exceed, I can assure you. I am Principal Nezu! It's a pleasure to meet one of Hayashi's guild mates."
Laxus narrowed his eyes, then looked at Akina, "And why did he ask if I was from 'your world'?"
"Oh, uh, long story short we're in a different world where they have these things called quirks that are like magic but aren't? It's complicated. Wait, Laxus, how did you get here?"
"I don't know. A few days ago I was just walkin' around Magnolia when this weird misty portal opened up in front of me and pulled me in. Also, you know everyone at the guild's been worried about you, right?"
Akina tensed up slightly. "Y-Yeah. I assumed as much."
"When team weakling returned from that job and explained what happened the old fart sent out search parties for you all over Fiore."
"H-he did?" Akina asked. "Oh mavis I've caused so much trouble!"
"Have you not contacted your guild, Miss Hayashi?" Nezu asked.
"I don't have a lacrima, so I haven't had any means of being able to contact them." Akina said, placing a hand on the back of her head sheepishly, "But if Laxus is here than that must mean that mist man can take me and Laxus back to our world! We just have to find him first."
Nezu hummed, "Well, in the meantime, Dreyar-"
"Why're you calling me by my last name? It's Laxus." The lightning mage said.
"It's common etiquette to refer to people by their last names while you've only just been acquainted. Though if you prefer your first name I shall call you Laxus." Nezu said. "As I was saying, in your time here I would like you to do the same as miss Hayashi here."
"And that is?"
"Acting as security for my school! If you have even a fraction of the power that miss Hayashi has then I believe you would be a wonderful addition to security."
Laxus chuckled. "If I have a fraction of this weakling's power? Try double."
"Don't flatter yourself." Akina said, looking at the lightning mage with an unamused expression. Then she let out a sigh, "But he is right. Laxus is much stronger and has much more experience than I do. He is a dragon slayer as well after all."
"Oh, goodie!" Nezu exclaimed, excitement growing in his eyes. "Does he control nature like you do?"
"I don't mess with those crappy flowers like leaf twerp. My magic is way more destructive. You're talking to the leader of the Thunder Legion, and a Lightning Dragon Slayer." Laxus said, a look of pride on his face.
"Yeah, that means jack shit here, sorry lightning face." Akina said. Laxus gritted his teeth and glared at the red-headed mage who just shrugged. "I'm just sayin'."
"Laxus, if you don't mind I would like to speak to you privately about the security job I'm offering. Miss Hayashi, I think you should head back to your class." Nezu said.
"Ah, right. Don't want them worrying too much about me." She let out a laugh, "Man, the look on green bean's face when I kept running. Priceless!" She started to head out of the room before she stopped at the doorway. "Oh, and Laxus, try not to destroy too much, kay?"

Once Akina headed back to where her class was gathering to head back to the school, she was confronted by some of her classmates.
"So you actually knew that man, Hayashi?" Hagakure asked.
Akina nodded. "Yeah! He's a family member of mine. I was surprised to see him so I guess I kind of got ahead of myself when I jumped over the crowd of pros."
"I don't think so. I almost got a peek of your-" a certain purple grape boy started. Before he was mysteriously wrapped up in vines.
"Anyways, what are we waiting for! Let's get back to school!"

That evening Akina was sitting at her desk looking up at Aizawa as he went over a few things before they were able to be dismissed to go home.
"Nice work. You have the next two days of school off to recuperate. I'm sure the pros who watched the festival will want to recruit some of you. We'll look over the draft forms and update you when you return. Get some rest, you still have a lot of training." Aizawa said.
"Yes sir." The class answered.
"Oh, and one more thing." Aizawa said, and Akina perked up, smelling a familiar lightning scent just outside the door. "Because of the attack on the USJ, UA is buffing up security. One of the ways we are buffing security up is hiring extra help. I'd like to introduce you all to that new security."
The door slid open, cracking the wall slightly with the force it was pushed and Laxus walked in. It looked like he had been given a change of clothes— really just a T-shit that coincidentally had a lightning bold on it and a pair of jeans.
"Hey, Aki, isn't that your relative?" Momo asked, glancing over her shoulder at Akina.
"I'm Laxus Dreyar- or Dreyar Laxus or whatever. I'll be making sure no villain scum get to you students." He said halfheartedly.
Akina grinned. It was obvious Laxus didn't want to be doing this. Whatever Nezu said or did to make him agree to working as security must of been major. She met eyes with the lightning dragon slayer and giggled.
This is starting to get fun.
