"Alicia, hurry up we are almost late!"
Peter calls out after me
"I'm coming, I'm coming!" I yell as I'm shuffling down the steps into the hallway to leave to go to work.
Wearing a plaid top and red skirt I'm off for work. Work has been tough recently as I'm getting new assignments. I never know where I'll end up. Don't get me wrong, I like it but it's tough balancing school and work.
As My firmed Peter and I get into the car we drive off to work.
I work as a nanny during the week. It pays decent and I'm able to do stuff while the kids are asleep like school work, eat, watch tv so it's not that bad.
I enter the hallway to be greeted by some kids.
One rushes up to me and hugs me.
"Hey Sam" I coo. He's such a sweetie. Always very affectionate and a little clingy.
"I made dis wan for you." He raises his arms and passes me a drawing he made.
I smile as I look at it.
"Too cute. Thank you Sam."
Sam then runs off to play with his sister.
His mom hands me a list.
"Good morning Alicia, these are the things that need to get done today."
As I make my way down the list I notice all of the things that need to be done
"I'm on it." I say
Sam and Lisa can be a handful. Jesus. But after I lay them down I'm able to watch tv and eat breakfast.
Yes things have been good so far. I wonder what life has in store for me.
