(2 weeks later)
*Griff POV*
Today is the wedding and Sam, Eric, Luke, and I are trying to keep the other two calm. My band mates are outside because they are playing during the wedding and some during the reception.
"G you're fine. Stop messing with the bow tie" I hear Sam say
"Grisha uspokoysya (calm down)" I say
"It's not that easy" he says
I go over to my older brother and drag him outside but to where guests could not see him.
"Grisha you need to calm down. Everything is going to be alright. Bailey loves you. Nothing is going to happen. She will always be there for you like you will always be there for her. You guys are vowing to be there for each other and protect each other and I know that will happen. I know that will happen because you both came from a place where you did not get much love or protection and now as you have both grown and found people who you love as family you try to treat them in a way that you never got treated in hopes of getting treated like that so that you can feel that love and protection as well." I say
"Yeah ok. Thanks" he says
"You're welcome. You good now" I ask
"Yeah. Now I need to go calm Deeks down. I think he's worse than me" he says
We go in there and Callen goes straight to Deeks and they start taking. Sam, Eric, and Luke come over to me.
"It'll be good for them to be family. It has brought them a lot closer together" Sam says
"It has brought you and Deeks closer together as well" I say
"Very true" he says
After about a half hour the wedding starts. After the groomsmen and brides maids go down Sam and Kensi walk down the aisle and then I am walking Bailey down the aisle.
"You look beautiful" I say
"Thanks. You ready to get a sister-in-law" she asks
"You ready to get a brother-in-law" I ask
"Of course. I'm no longer stuck with Deeks being my only brother" she says
We are snapped out of our conversation when Sam gently steps backwards on my foot. They go down the aisle and Sam hands Kensi over to Deeks and gives Deeks a little talk then stands behind Eric. Bailey and I walk down the aisle and I hand her off to Callen who is trying to hide the tears.
After he takes her hands I whisper to him, "you don't have to hide the tears. If you think she is beautiful and that you are happy with your choices then let the emotions show that"
"Get behind me" he hisses
I nod and stand behind him since I'm his best man. Sam quickly switches to behind me so Luke can stand behind Eric. Hetty officiates the wedding and after she does both couples the grooms kiss the brides then they run up the aisle all of us following. Bailey hops on Deeks' back and Deeks almost falls over but keeps semi stable.
"Why Bailey" Deeks asks
"Because I can" she says
"Why not do it to your husband" Deeks asks
Bailey sighs and gets off Deeks' back. I go over to Nell and give her a peck on her cheek.
"Hey no PDA till you're married" Callen says
"Yeah whatever" Eric says and pecks Luke
"No you two can. Just not my brother and Miss. jones" my older brother says
"Wow G" Sam says
We get to the reception after all the guests are there and enter after our names are announced. Once everyone is in, the party starts. I leave Nell talking with the team and I go over to my band mates.
"Thanks for playing at the wedding guys it means a lot to my team and to me" I say
"No problem. So when are you proposing to Nell" Joey asks
"Well if she catches a bouquet then tonight. If not probably next week. I already talked to the team and they were all okay with it. I just wanted to make sure I didn't ruin their special day with my plan" I say
"I'm glad bro. You deserve to be happy after all that has happened to you" chad says
We all group hug and Chad and Caleb go over to their wives.
"How's Jewel" I ask
"Um well she is still in rehab. The doctors say she will be in there for about a year or more. She is really struggling right now. She doesn't want to talk to anyone. She's basically refusing help. I broke up with her last week. I told her I can't be on a break anymore and that I cannot wait for her when she won't let me be supportive of her or help her" he says
"Wow. I'm sorry dude. Have you told the other two yet" I ask
"No. It was just too much for me too think about and talk about." He says
"It's completely okay. There's plenty of other girls out there" I say
"Yeah" He says
"Hey I hear that Kat, Kensi's one friend is a Christian and single. Why don't you go talk to her" I say
"I don't know Griff" he says
"yo Griff and Joey. This is Kat one of Kensi's friends. She wanted me to introduce you guys to her" Deeks says
"You know I actually have to go talk to my brother but Joey here would love to talk" I say Deeks and I quickly walk away before the other two can say anything.
"I could read your lips. I figured I'd help you out" Deeks says
"Ok" I say
My brothers back is to me so I go over and surprise him. He jumps and elbows me in the gut. Sam just laughs his head off and bailey comes checks on me.
"You okay Griff" Bailey asks
"Yeah no im good" I say
"That Griff is why we do not attack people" Callen says
"Who beat Griff up and can you teach me your ways" chad asks coming over
"Chadwick no" I say
"Yo it looks like Joey and Kat are really hitting it off" Kensi says
We turn around and they are sitting down together laughing and talking.
"I'm glad. Joey deserves it" Caleb says
"Grisha I'm so proud of you. You too Marty" Nikita says coming over
"Thanks dad" Callen says
"Thank you Nikita" Deeks says
"Griffin how are you and Grisha holding up after your mother's death" Nikita asks
"Alright. Every once in a while we struggle and remember her but other then that it is fine." I say
"I'm glad" he says
"Where's Alex and Jake" Callen asks
"I'm right here Uncle Callen" Jake says running over
"There's my favorite nephew" Callen says hugging him
"I'm your only nephew" Jake says
I go over to Jake and we do our hand shake.
"When did you become his favorite" Callen asks
"Um let's see here... who has been watching him for you" I ask
"Callen I asked you to watch him. You aren't suppose to pass it off to your brother" Alex slaps lightly punching Callen in the arm.
"I was busy" Callen says
"With what" Alex asks
"Mr. Callen are you telling me all those days Mr. Granger could not come in is because he was watching your nephew" Hetty asks appearing
"Yeah. And some of the days he was with his band" Callen says
"Hey Jake man Whats up" Joey says coming over with Kat
"I'm good Mr. Joey. When do I get to learn more piano and guitar" Jake asks
"Wait you are teaching my son to play musical instruments" Alex asks
"Yeah. He got bored and everyone else was working on things so I decided to teach him" Joey says
"Wow" Alex says
"Joseph Stamper and Griffin Granger please report to the stage" we hear
Joey and I run and join our band on stage and I start talking.
"To start off the solo/duo dances grooms grab your brides and head to the dance floor for your first dance as a married couple." I say
Once the four of them are on the dance floor, the guys and I start singing thinking out loud. After we are done I hop off stage and I take Baileys hand and Sam grabs Kensi.
"Now neither of your fathers are around, but you both chose someone special to you to walk you down the aisle so they are going to give you your father daughter dance." chad says
*Sam POV*
Joey starts strumming his guitar then the guys start singing Cinderella. Kensi and I speak few words while dancing and at the end of the song she has a few tears on her cheek.
"Hey what's wrong" I ask
"My dad loves that song" Kensi says
"Your dad was a good man. He did great things." I say
"He would play that song and him and I would dance around to it. I always said that was the song I would dance to for my father daughter dance" she says
"And you are getting to do just that" I say
I wipe her tears away and then kiss the top of her head. We go over to the others and I pass her off to Deeks. He wraps his arms around her and whispers in her ear a bit.
"Um Callen" Eric says coming over
"No. Don't say it. Walk away. I do not want to hear it" Callen says
Eric nods and backs away slowly. A few minutes later our phones buzz.
E-we got a case
C-I told you no
S-you said not to say it. He is texting
D-is it urgent? Like does it need to take place now?
G-if the wedding reception is getting interrupted don't you think it is important
K-do we have to leave
N-yeah kens. Sorry
G-I'll get my band to keep the guests entertained and distracted till people leave
I put my phone in my pocket and tell my kids that I have to head out and that Aiden better keep an eye on his sister then head outside. I go to my car and lean against it waiting for everyone else to come out. After five minutes everyone is out and we get in vehicles and head to HQ. we arrive and go in heading up to Ops.
"Alright Nell what do we have" Callen asks
"Robert Boyle was found dead downtown." Nell says
"Boyle. As in Deeks' old partner" Kensi asks
"This is his younger brother. Deeks, internal affairs is starting to think you are responsible for this" Eric says
"That's crap. I did not even know that Boyle had a brother" Deeks says
"Alright Deeks you need to stay here. Go back to Hetty's second office and camp out there. We will keep you informed. Kensi and Sam you go see Robert's house. Griff and I will go to the crime scene" Callen says
"Callen don't make me sit this out" Deeks says
"Deeks I don't need my brother-in-law ending up in jail. If you're out in the field Internal Affairs will find you. You know what Kens you stay here with Deeks because then if they see us we can just say you two went on a honey moon. Nell you are in the field with Sam" Callen says
Him and Griff walk out to signal the end of the conversation.
"Keep him safe Kens" I say
Nell and I head out and go to Roberts house. We get there and the house is trashed. We then start looking and I find some finger prints. I scan them and I freak out inside.
"Nell Deeks is in more trouble than we thought" I say
"How" Nell asks
She comes over to me and looks at the screen. She then walks away calling Kensi or Eric. I pull out my phone and call Callen.
C-yo Sam what do you got
S-something big. But did you get anything
C-no. It's a clean crime scene and he was killed execution style. They are going to run ballistics on the bullet
S-okay well we found fingerprints. They belong to Deeks
C-okay. So either he is lying to us or he is getting set up. It's probably option two.
S-Yeah but we have to work fast to get Deeks out of the clear
C-yeah. Let's meet up at HQ
I hang up and Nell and I walk out. As we walk out internal affairs comes up to us.
"Agent Hanna" she says
"Detective whiting What can I do for you" I ask
"Where's detective Deeks" she asks
"Not here" I say
"Yes but where" she asks
"On a honey moon. He just got married" I say
"He wouldn't go on his honeymoon if there was a case. Where agent Blye" she asks
"On her honeymoon now if you don't mind we have a case we're working on" Nell says
"How are they both on a honeymoon" Whiting asks
"They got married to each other" I say
"Oh whatever and this isn't your case. Internal Affairs has taken it over" she says
"You know what you're right this is your crime scene Agent Hanna and I were just leaving anyways" Nell says
We walk past them and go to the car. We get in then head to HQ. We get there just as Griff and Callen are getting back. We go in and head to Hetty's secret office. We get in there and Eric, Deeks, and Kensi are sitting there.
"Why did you guys pass it on to internal affairs" Kensi asks
"The bullet doesn't match your gun" Callen says
"While I was talking with Whiting Nell went through and distorted the finger prints so that it seems like the persons finger prints are partly burned off" I say
"Ok" Deeks says
"You guys need to lay low which means you guys need to stay here until the case is over. It is fully stocked with food and there should be clothes in here that you both can wear." Callen says
"Why me" Kensi asks
"Because they think you and Deeks aren't in Tennessee" I say
"Ok" Kensi says
We talk for a bit more then people start heading out.
"Keep each other safe" I say
They nod and I walk out. I go to my place and see that my kids are still awake.
"Aiden it is midnight. Why isn't your sister in bed" I ask
"She said she wanted to wait up for you. She gave me the puppy dog eyes" he says
"That's rough. Alright princess off to bed" I say
"But daddy" she whines
"Nope. Come on Cam. You're lucky you got to stay up this late. You know bedtime is usually between 9:30-10:30" I say
"Fine" she says
She comes over to me and gives me a hug. I also kiss her forehead.
"Sleep well baby girl" I say
"Ok. Love you dad" she says
She goes upstairs and I sit down next to Aiden.
"How's the case going" he asks
"Not that well. Uncle Deeks and Aunt Kensi's are the targets. Mostly uncle Deeks. They are staying on the DL for now. If Bailey can watch Cam do you want to come to work with me! We could probably use some help" I say
"Alright. Well I'm going to turn it in for the night. I'll be up at 0600." He says
"Alright. Sleep well son" I say
He goes upstairs and I call Callen.
C-what do you need Sam
S-you sound like you were sleeping
C-I was
S-sorry. I was just wondering if Bailey is able to watch Cam for me tomorrow. Aiden is going to come and give us a hand
C-yeah I'm sure she'd be okay with that. If not just drop her off with Griff's band mates because I know they won't mind
S-Alright. I might just do that instead cause she is very interested in music but I'll ask what she wants to do.
I hang up and head to my room. I get in my bed and fall asleep thinking about who could be targeting Deeks.
