*Deeks POV*
I wake up fairly early and see that it is 5 in the morning. I get out of bed and go to the deck of the ship and see Sam there.
"Good morning Deeks. Sorry if I woke you at all" he says
"No it's all good. I was only half asleep" I say
"You ready to go to breakfast" he asks
"Yeah" I say
We go to the rental car and get in. Sam drives to a diner and we go in. We sit down at a table and a waitress comes over. We order drinks and our food and she walks away.
"So how are Aiden and Kam" I ask
"They're alright. I mean Aiden is doing well in school and is going to graduate next year. Kam is still away at that boarding school she wanted to go to and she finishes this year then goes back to public school as a freshman." He says
"Does Aiden still call like every week to make sure you're doing okay" I ask
"How do you know about that" he asks
"I can tell when you are talking to your kids and which one you are talking to. He always calls just as you are leaving work on Wednesday" I say
"Yeah he still calls me" Sam says
"And how are you doing" I ask
"I thought we are in LA to talk about you. Not to talk about me" he says
"Sam I know how many memories you have here in LA and how much it hurts to lose someone you love and loves you back. How are you" I say
"I'm okay. I mean I have those rough days that everyone has when they lose someone close. But I'm getting better and being away from LA has been making things better. Every once in a while I'll probably come back to LA just to visit her grave but I prefer being in Nashville so I don't have to be reminded of her all the time." He says
"That makes sense" I say
We finish eating our food that we got and Sam pays even after I argue with him. We get back in the car and go to the cemetery. We walk over to my mothers grave and sit down. We spend the rest of the morning there then go back to Sam's boat.
"We should head back to Nashville" I say
"You sure? We can stay longer if you want" he says
"No. I just needed some time to talk with my mom. LA also holds some bad memories for me and moving to Nashville helped me get rid of them some." I say
"Is it more than just your parents and your sister that are the bad memories" he asks
"I guess" I say
"What else is it" Sam asks
"Well the Sidarov thing happened here and for about 6 months I had recurring nightmares from it" I say
"I'm sorry you had to go through that Deeks. I didn't want to drag any of you in it" He says
"Sam it's not your fault. We are a team and we are to be there for each other. I'm just glad you and Michelle lived and your kids had their parents" I say
"You didn't think about the possibility of you dying" Sam asked
"I didn't have anyone. Kenos and I were dating. I don't think she even really liked me so I had nothing to lose. All I thought was that if I died I'd be closer to my mom" I say
"I'm sorry Deeks. I know I keep saying sorry and I have said sorry for the Sidrov thing but this time I'm serious. You went through so much pain and trauma just to save me and my wife and I thank you. I know I always jab at you and so do the others but it was because you were new and we didn't know how to read you or take you. Eventually we started getting used to you and it stopped some but I never did and I'm sorry. I know you were just trying to get me to trust you and see you as a great person and I do. I want you to know that" Sam says
"Wow Sam can be sentimental. Who knew" I say
"I'm being serious Deeks" he says
"I know. And thank you. I probably fool around more than I should but that's my "safe place". It's to hide who I could've been. I could've been like my father but I try so hard not to that I fool around so there is no chance of me becoming like him" I say
We bro hug then gather our things. We head to the airport and then eventually board a plane. After hours of being on a plane we land in Nashville and head to our vehicles.
"We should probably go to HQ and check in with Hetty" Sam says
"Alright. I'll meet you there" I say
I get in my car and drive to my sisters house. I knock on the door and Callen opens it.
"Hi Callen" I say
"What's up Deeks" he says
"I just want to say sorry for the other day. I shouldn't have yelled at you and just waited for you to apologize I also should of told you about your father coming to the bar" I say
"Come in Deeks I think we should talk" He says
"I have to go talk to Hetty though" I say
"Alright. I'll just come with and we can talk after" he says
"Ok" I say
We go out to my car and get in. I drive to work and we go in. Callen goes to his desk and I go over to Sam and Hetty.
"Mr. Deeks are you feeling better" Hetty asks
"Yes I am Hetty. Sorry for not calling and giving a heads up" I say
"It's alright. Your fiancé called for both you and Sam" she says
"Were Griff and Grisha okay today" Sam asks
"They were fine. They both seemed a little off but they were fine. What is going on with my team" Hetty asks
"Just a small disagreement. Everything should be back to normal tomorrow. Sam is going to talk to griff. Then I will talk to Grisha and my sister" I say
"Alright. Very well then you boys should get going." Hetty says
We both walk away and Sam leaves while I go over to Callen. I sit down at griff's desk and start making a paper airplane with a piece of paper that way laying around.
"Deeks I'm sorry for yelling at you and punching you. I should've been a bigger person and told my father about the wedding as soon as I go engaged. None of this is your fault. It is all mine. I'm also sorry for insulting your mom. Me of all people should know not to say something like that but I did anyway and I'm sorry." He says
"It's ok Callen. I forgive you. Now let's go to my house and you and Bailey can get back together so the wedding can happen next week" I say
"Ok" he says
We go to my car and I drive to my house. We get there and there's more than just two cars here. We walk inside and see Kensi, Bailey, Nell, Griff, Eric, Luke Evans, and Sam are all sitting in the living room. I go over to kensi and kiss her cheek. I look over my shoulder and see Callen peck Baileys lips. I go back over to them and put my hand on Callen's shoulder.
"Next time we get in a fight Grisha don't you dare go and break my sisters heart because I might break you before you have time to fix it" I say
"Aye aye Marty" Callen says
"Can we have dinner now. I'm hungry" Griff whines
"We just came from eating with your band mates" Nell says
"But I'm hungry" Griff whines
"Yo bro. Go to the kitchen. Door on the left, top shelf, grab something from there" Callen says
Griff goes to the kitchen and comes back with a bag of pretzels.
"Callen are you storing food in our house again" kensi asks
"Maybe" Callen says
Bailey slaps callen's arm and Callen just laughs.
"Why do you store food at our house" I ask
"So is this wedding that I'm supposedly invited to still going on or is it a goner?" Luke asks
"I don't know about my sister and her fiancé but I'm still planning on getting married next week" I say
"The wedding is happening even if that means I have to drag my brother up to the front of the alter" Griff says
"Thanks for the offer little bro but I can go up there on my own and marry the love of my life" G says
"So I am the love of your life huh" Bailey says
"Of course" Callen says
"Well I don't know if you're the love of my life" she says
"Ooh harsh" Griff says
Nell elbows him.
"Please stop elbowing me" Griffin says
"Stop being an idiot" Nell says
"Whatever" Griffin says
Nell elbows him again and harder this time. He doubles over and Sam, Callen, and I just laugh while Kensi and bailey hi-five her. Eric and Luke check on Griff.
"Alright Alright. I'm good." Griffin says
"So are we going out to eat or not? If not I'm going to head out" Sam says
"No we'll go out to eat. There is a new diner that just opened up around the corner that we can go to" Kensi says
We leave the house and go to the diner. After dinner everyone leaves and Kensi and I head to bed. I put in a movie and once it was over we fell asleep.
