*Eric POV*
I woke up this morning at 6:30 and now it is 7:30 and I'm on my way to meet up with Luke Evans before I head to work. I get to the coffee shop and go in. I spot him instantly sitting in the back. I go over and he stands up.
"Hey Eric" he says
"Hey" I say
"I'm so glad you called. I wanted to see you again" he says
"I'm glad you agreed. I didn't want to look like a fool" I say
"You'd be an adorable fool" he says
I blush and look down. He pushes my chin up slightly and smiles at me. I look into his eyes and we both start leaning in. He captures my lips in his and we share a kiss. I pull away and he just smiles.
"I really like you Eric" he says
"I like you too" I say
"Will you be my boyfriend" he asks
"Of course" I say
He pecks my lips and we continue drinking our coffee. Once we're done we say goodbye and I get in my car heading off to work. I get to work and walk in seeing everyone there already.
"Good morning everyone" I say
"Good morning Eric" Kensi says
"Beale you sure are in a good mood this morning" Deeks says
"There might be a reason for that" I say
"He's got a boyfriend" Griff exclaims
"What? How" I ask
"I just felt this vibe" he says
"I only told two people though. Callen and Nell. Did either of you tell him" I ask
"Beale relax. I could just tell that you were and then I also was in the coffee shop this morning" Griff says
"Was Nell there" I ask
"Yeah. But I was in the car" Nell says
"Okay are you two done arguing? The rest of us would like to be filled in on what is happening" Sam says
"Alright Fine. First off, if you all do not already know, I'm gay. That is why Nell and I decided not to date. Second, I just got a boyfriend. It's Luke Evans" I say
"That's awesome. Congrats" Kensi says
"Congrats man" Sam says
"Good for you Beale. You deserve to be happy" Deeks says
"See I told you all you had to do was confess your feelings" Callen says
"Yeah yeah" I say
"Mr. Beale I heard the news. Congratulations. Now I'm sure there is a case that needs to be dealt with. Don't you think" Hetty says
"Yes Hetty. Thank you" I say
We all go up to Ops and Nell and I hop on the computers.
"Alright. This is petty officer Lawson. He was found last night with a stab wound to his chest. He was on leave for a few days and heading back to base last night" I say
The team splits and Nell and I are left alone in ops.
*Bailey POV*
It's about noon right now and I'm at my brothers bar working with the very few people that my brother hired putting me in charge.
"Hey bails" I hear
I turn and see Craig, one of my coworkers, behind me.
"Yeah Craig" I ask
"There's a fight going on outside. Looks like it is a marine or someone from the military" he says
I pull my phone out and call my brother.
D-Bails what's wrong
B-there's a fight going on outside of the bar. One of them is a marine
D-ok. Kensi and I are about a block away. We'll be there
B-Deeks the one guy just pulled out a gun
D-ok. Behind the first keg is a button. Press it and it will automatically lock the doors. No one will leave and that guy will not come in. I'll be there soon. If needed give Craig my one gun there.
I hang up and press the button. I then go over to another place and grab the gun then give it to Craig.
"This is for if someone comes in from that fight. My brother and his partner are only a minute away" I whisper
"Ok" he says
I look out the window and Kensi and Deeks are there with their guns. Deeks is handcuffing the guy with the gun and Kensi is checking on the Marine. I press the button again and the doors unlock. Craig gives me the gin back and I go and put it away. I go outside and see Deeks handing the guy over to the cops.
"Everyone ok inside" Deeks asks coming over
"Yeah. I don't think they really knew what was going on. I didn't know what was going on until Craig told me" I say
"Ok" Deeks says
Kensi walks over and gives me a hug.
"Is the marine ok" I ask
"Yeah he's fine. A bit shaken up but he's good. He's going to be questioned" Kensi says
"Ok" I say
"Well we better get back to our case so we don't get yelled at by anyone" Deeks says
"Okay. Are you all coming to the bar tonight" I ask
"Me, Kensi, and Callen definitely are. Not sure about the others. I think we are trying to and then convince Eric to invite his boyfriend" Deeks says
"A boyfriend. Who" I ask
"Luke Evans" Kensi says
"Awe. I'm so happy for Eric. He deserves someone good in his life" I say
We give hugs again and then they leave. I go back inside and behind the bar. Just then one of our regulars, Nikita, walks up to the bar.
"Hi Nikita how are you" I ask
"I'm great Bailey how are you" he asks
"I'm ok. You're usual" I ask
"Of course. You seem stressed. Are you ok" he asks
"I'm getting married in two weeks and I don't know if I'm ready or not" I say
"Why wouldn't you" he asks
"It's just I've had a really bad life and I feel like I won't be a very good life. A lot of people have left me and I've left a lot of people. I'm afraid I would do it to him because I have already done it once" I say
"Do you really truly love this man" he asks
"Yea" I say
"True Love is stronger than anything else in the world other than hate. If you love this person then you won't run away." He says
As I'm about to say something I hear the door opening. I look up and see Callen.
"Hey Callen. Is work done already" I ask
"Yeah. We finished early. Deeks and Kensi should be here soon. Along with the others. Sam might be late because Hetty is lecturing him about something" he says
"Grisha" Nikita says turning around
"Dad what are you doing here" Callen asks
"I always come here at this time. What are you doing here" he asks
"This is my fiancé" Callen says
"You are getting married and you don't think to tell me or your sister" Nikita says
"Callen you never told me you had a sister or a father" I say
"Bailey this is my father Nikita. Dad this is my fiancé Bailey. She is Deeks' older sister" Callen says
"Hey Nikita. You enjoying your usual" we hear
"Yes Deeks. It is very good" Nikita says
"Deeks why didn't you tell me my dad comes to this bar" Callen asks
"I'm because it's my bar and he's my customer. Do you want to know about all my customers because if so I'll give you a whole list. If not you don't need to know who comes to my bar" Deeks says
"Yeah well now both your sister and my dad probably hate me" Callen says
"We are standing right here" I say
*Callen POV*
I sigh and drag Deeks outside.
"Deeks I never told my dad I was getting married" I say
"So that's my fault" he asks
"I wasn't going to tell him until after we got married" I say
"Callen he is your father. He deserves to know these things. He wants to be a part of your life. He missed out on so much for so long and now he wants to be a part of it" he says
"Don't tell me how parents feel. Don't tell me how a proper family is suppose to work. If I recall correctly, your dad killed your mom and almost killed you and your sister. Didn't you kill your dad too" I say
"Don't you dare bring up that man. He was no father. At least I am willing to protect my sister and tell her things" he says
I punch him square in the jaw and he looks at me in disbelief. Before Deeks can retaliate Sam and Griff jump in. Sam looks at me, shakes his head then goes and check on Deeks.
"Grisha what was that for" Griff asks
"I don't know" I say
"Yes you do. Otherwise you wouldn't have done that" he says
"We were arguing" I say
"You threw the first punch so I'm guessing you also started the argument" he says
"My Dad is here at the bar and I never told him I was dating or that I'm getting married" I say
"So how is that Deeks' fault" he asks
"It isn't. It's mine." I say
"Yeah. I think you should check on your soon to be brother-in-law" he says
he goes inside and I go over to where Sam is quietly talking to Deeks. I look at Sam and he goes inside.
"I'm sorry Deeks" I say
"Whatever" He says
"Deeks I'm trying to apologize" I say
"Maybe I don't want your sympathy. Now tell Bailey that she is in charge of closing and locking the bar for the night and let Kensi know that I will see her tonight at some point" he says
He walks off and I go inside.
"What did you do to my brother" Bailey asks
"Nothing. Why" I ask
"I saw you two arguing and then Sam being sincere to Deeks which never happens. Well happens very rarely" she says
"Nothing happened" I say
"Fine. I'm sleeping at Kensi's House with her and my brother until you tell me what happened" she says
"That might not be the best. I don't think Deeks really wants to see anyone" I say
"Why" she asks
"He told me to tell you to close the bar and lock up for the night when it's time and to tell Kensi that he'll get home at some point" I say
"He's not going to be home tonight. He's not going to be at work tomorrow" Kensi says
"Why" I ask
"He went to LA" Sam says
"Why" Bailey asks
"Because someone very close to him was insulted. He's going to apologize to that person and be close to them" Sam says
"I'm sorry I caused all of this" Nikita says
"You didn't start anything Nikita. Now there is a possibility that we still have this wedding in two weeks. If we have it I would love it if you, your daughter, and your grandson would come" Bailey says
"What do you mean if" I ask
"I don't know if I'm ready to get married" she says
"Whatever" I say
I leave and go home.
*Sam POV*
Callen leaves and Nikita leaves a few minutes after.
"Uh guys this is Luke Evans. Luke Evans this is Bailey, Nell, Kensi, Griffin, and Sam. The one who just walked out is Callen and then you will meet Deeks at their wedding since you're being my plus 1" Eric says
"Hi Luke. Nice to meet you. Sorry you had to listen to all of that and watch it" I say
"Nah it's alright. Things happen" he says
"Hey Griff and I are going to head out. We told Joey we'd hang out with him tonight" Nell says
"Ok" Kensi says
We say bye to them and they head out. "Well I guess we should leave too" Eric says
Those two walk out and it's just me, Kensi, Bailey and the few people in the bar.
"Alright everyone get one free beer on me then you have to leave because I'm wanting to close up" Bailey says
We help her pass them out and then once everyone is gone we help her clean up. We finish and leave. She locks up and we start walking towards the vehicles.
"Kensi is it alright if I stay at your place for a bit" Bailey asks
"Of course." Kensi says
"Have a good night guys. Oh and Kensi if Hetty asks where I am tomorrow tell her I'm taking a few days off" I say
Kensi looks at me weird but nods. They leave and I get in my challenger. I drive to the airport and buy a ticket. My flight is called a half hour later. I get in the plane and it takes off not long after. It arrives where it is supposed to and I get off. I get a rental car and I drive off to where I need to go. I arrive and spot what I'm looking for in the moonlight. I go over and sit down.
"Leave me alone Sam" Deeks says
"I can't do that" I say
"Why not" he asks
"You deserve some company and someone to talk to" I say
"I have my mom" he says
"I mean someone other than her. Someone who agrees that Callen was wrong and shouldn't have done what he did. Someone who is here with you instead of back at home where many people thinks he should be" I say
"Why are you here anyways? I thought this place brought back to many bad memories and that's why the team moved to Nashville" he says
"Yeah but if someone who is family is in trouble or hurt I'd be there for them no matter what from my last comes up" I say
"You consider me family" he asks
"Of course I do. We might fight and I might pick on you but you are like a brother to me and you will be Callen's brother-in-law." I say
"Thank you Sam" he says
"You're welcome" I say
We sit in comfortable silence for a bit then Deeks starts talking.
"When I was born we were a happy loving family. When I got to the age of one my dad started drinking and coming home late at night or very early in the morning. He was usually drunk. He then started abusing me, my mom, and my sister when I was two. My mom would try to keep my sister and I away and take the beating as much as she could. He beat my mom so much that she died. She was buried here but never had a funeral. My sister and I still had to live with my father. Eventually at age five we ran away. We thought it was okay because she was twelve. We lived on the street and would go to the shelter when we could. There Bailey and I met Callen. He was teaching me how to throw a baseball and such and Bailey fell in love with him. When Bailey and Callen were 16 and I was 9 my dad found me and Bailey and killed Bailey so I thought. I was scared and ran away. I hid for a few days then went back to the shelter. There a family who was volunteering met me and decided to take me in. They thought that I was smart and that I needed an education. I never saw Callen again we'll not until I joined the team, but I didn't realize it was him" he says almost in tears towards the end
I bring him into a hug and he lets the tears out. He pulls away and wipes away the tears.
"Thank you for listening Sam. I really needed to let it all out" he says
"I understand Deeks. It's all right. I now understand your past and why you still get nightmares. You were so young when that stuff happened to you" I say
"Yeah" He says
"Hey, I still have my boat here and I still own it. Why don't we call it a day and then we can come back out here in the morning after some breakfast" I say
"Ok" he says
We go to the rental car and get in. I start it up and drive to the dock. We go to my boat and get aboard. We go down to where the beds are and I show him where he can sleep. I then go to my bed and get in bed falling asleep rather quickly.
