*Deeks (NCIS LA)*
Right now it's 7:30 AM on a Monday morning and we're only here this early cause Hetty said someone new is joining us. Apparently Anna is with us permanently now so either Callen or San is getting a new partner. Probably Sam though. So the rookie can learn something.
"Come on babe we got to go up to ops" Kensi says
"Yes ma'am" I say
I get up from my desk and follow her upstairs. We get up there and everyone including some strange dude is standing upstairs.
"Well Mr. Deeks it's kind of you to join us" Hetty says
"Sorry. I was trying to organize Kensi's desk. She keeps creeping on Callens space" I say
"Well he won't have to worry about that anymore. Anna is taking his desk over and he's desking next to Mr. Kane" she says
"Who" Callen asks
"Mr. Kane this is Sam Hanna, G Callen, Marty Deeks, Kensi Blye, Anna Kolcheck, Eric Beal, and Nell Jones. Everyone this is Spencer Kane. He will be partnering up with Mr. Callen and Anna you are with Miss. Blye. Mr. Deeks and Mr. Hanna you are together" Hetty says
"Hetty I don't mean to be rude but why are you switching all the partnerships up." I ask
"Because Mr. Deeks you need to learn how to work with other people" Hetty says
"Guys looks like we got a case" Eric says
We all turn around and face the screen.
"The driver for Matthew west who is a Christian singer got shot." Nell says
"And we're on it why" Sam asks
"The driver use to be in the Navy apparently" Eric says
"Deeks and I will go to the scene. Kensi and Anna go question Matthew West and Callen and Spencer you try to find out as much as you can about the driver by going to his house." Sam says
"Actually Mr. Callen and Mr. Kane go talk with Mr. West and miss. Kolckeck and Miss. Blye go to the drivers house" Hetty says
"Alright" Callen says
*Spencer POV*
Callen and I go outside and to his car. We get in and he pulls out.
"So tell me about yourself" Callen says
"Ok well I've always wanted to be an NCIS agent after my uncle got murdered and they helped find who did it because he was part of the military. I was 6 when it happened. As soon as I was out of high school I skipped college and went straight to training. Once I passed the course and was qualified I looked around. I couldn't find anything at first so I joined a band since I could sing. Then an opening for you guys became available so I applied right away and got it. I live here in Nashville since that's where you all are at and where the band is at. Our band name is Anthem Lights. I was replacing a former member who decided to leave and pursue acting. We're also a Christian band. Anything else you want to know" I ask
"How old are you" he asks
"21" I say
"Ok. Now any questions for me" he asks
"Yeah what does the G stand for" I ask
"That is a long story and for a time when we're on a stake out together or something" he says
"Ok" I say
We get to a house and get out. We go up to the door and Callen knocks on it. The door opens and Matthew West is there.
"Hey Spencer man what are you doing here" Matthew asks bro hugging me
"I'm here with NCIS investigating the death of your driver. This is agent Callen" I say
"You two know each other" Callen asks
"We've performed together" I say
"Oh ok" Callen says
"Well come on in" Matthew says
We go inside and sit down in the living room.
"What's your drivers name" Callen asks
"Malcolm Gregory" Matthew answers
"Did he have any enemies. Did he talk to you about anyone who didn't like him" I ask
"No. Everyone always liked him. He was caring and kind. It's a shame this happened. He was going to propose tomorrow" Matthew says
"Was there anyone who hated his girlfriend" Callen asks
"No" Matthew says
"Ok. Well thank you for the time and sorry" I say
"Thank you" Matthew says
We leave and get back in the car. Callen drives back to headquarters. We go inside and when we get in my phone rings. I look and see that it's Joey. I answer and walk away a bit.
S-hey Joe is this important
J-sort of
S-what do you mean by sort of
J-well we're at the studio right now and the power went out. We checked the fuse box and nothing was wrong. Then a couple minutes later it came back on. For a whole hour leading up to the power going out there was a car outside with someone in it. Once the power came back on the car wasn't there
S-couldn't you still see inside
J-no. Caleb had a headache so we had the blinds closed to keep it dim. But there was enough of a crack I could see outside
S-do Caleb and Chad know about this
J-no. They left to go get lunch. I stayed here to work on my guitar and piano parts.
S-ok. I'll have Nell and Eric check stuff on the computer and stuff like that and I'll ask Hetty if someone can go there and check it out
J-ok
I hang up and go to Hettys office. I knock on the door frame.
"Mr. Kane what is it" she asks
"Sorry to be a bother but I just got a call from one of my band mates saying a car was outside the studio for a whole hour with someone inside. The power went out and when it came back on the car was gone." I say
She's about to say something. But is interrupted by Sam coming over.
"Hetty the driver wasn't the target. Matthew was" Sam says
"How do you know" Hetty asks
"We went to the crime scene and it showed the driver seat back all the way in a way that he was trying to protect the person in the back. Matthew probably thought that he was trying to reach for something since he was at a red light" Sam says
"Hetty Matthew is a Christian singer. My band is a Christian band. This can be a serial killer. Searching out Christian musicians." I say
"Ok ok. Mr. Hanna send Miss. Blye and Miss. kolcheck to Matthews house to keep him safe. Mr. Callen and Mr. Kane go to wherever his band mates are and you and Mr. Deeks available wherever needed and have Nell and Eric check traffic cameras near the scene and the Anthem Lights recording studio." Hetty says
We both nod and walk off.
"Stay safe Spencer. We can't loose you even if we haven't gotten to know you. You're a part of this team which means you're a part of this family and with family no one is left unprotected" Sam says
"Of course" I say
I find Callen at a desk with all the other desks.
"This desk next to mine is yours" he says
"Alright. Well Hetty wants us to go to my bands studio because Sam and I have a hunch that whoever it is is going after Christian bands." I say
"Ok. Let's go. You drive" Callen says
He gives me the keys and we go to the car. We get in and I start it. I pull out and head to the studio. We get there and I pull into my parking spot. We get out and go up to the door. I open it and we go in. We get in and Joey is sitting at the piano with his earbuds in. I go over and tap his shoulder. He turns around and takes an earbud out.
"Where are the other two" I ask
"They aren't here" he asks
"No" I say
"Oh boy. Wait what are you doing here" He asks
"We think people are after a whole bunch of Christian singers" Callen says
"Who's that guy" Joey asks
"One of my coworkers. Callen meet Joey. Joey meet Callen." I say
"Nice to meet you" Joey says
"Yeah. You too" Callen says
"Don't we have that tracking app on our phones that we set up between us four" I ask
"Yeah" Joey says
I pull my phone out and it shows that they're still at chick fil a. I send Kensi a text.
S-it's Spencer Kane I need you to go to the Chick-fil-A on fourth and boulevard. I need you to look for two guys.
K-ok. What do they look like
S-one is blonde, tall, built. The other is short. Somewhat beard and mustache. Short brown hair.
A few minutes later I get a response.
K-I found them.
S-good
K-it's not good. I can't get in. The restaurant is on lock down. It's been invaded. Them and a couple others are being held hostage. Do you know the two guys
S-yeah. They're my band mates. Don't let them get hurt
K-I won't. I promise. Keep yourself and the other band mate safe. Don't leave Callen's sight.
S-we won't.
I show the messages to Callen and he motions me aside. I follow him over near the door.
"You and Joey cannot leave my sight. However I am going to go outside and quickly get Joey a vest. Stay here and with him. I'm going to talk Hetty into getting you guys a safe house. And don't mention about the other two being used as hostages. We need Joey to be calm and what not." Callen says
"Ok" I say
I go over to my desk and sit down and start working on writing some lyrics. Callen comes back in and goes over to Joey.
"Here wear this. It will somewhat protect you if they go to shoot you" Callen says
"Ok" Joey says
Joey puts it on and goes back to writing his music.
"So how many years have you had this band" Callen asks
"Um since 2011. There were four members then one dropped out half way through that year to go solo and I joined then last year another member left to go and be an actor so Spencer joined" Joey says
"And what all do you guys do for the band" Callen asks
"I sing Tenor and bass. Chad sings soprano and Alto. Caleb sings tenor and sometimes alto. Joey plays guitar, Piano, drums, sings tenor, soprano, alto" I say
"Wow" Callen says
"I'm not that good with the drums or as a soprano" Joey says
"Stop being so humble. Play him you're one solo jealous cover" I say
Joey gets his laptop out and plays it.

"What are you working on anyways Joey? I thought you already worked out all the piano parts for our other songs" I say
"I'm working on an original song for my mini solo project" Joey says
"Oh ok" I say
*Caleb POV*
Chad and I left for Chick-fil-A two hours ago. We've been in here in this restaurant as hostages because well I don't know why.
"What are you doing this for" someone asks
"Shut your d**** mouth or you'll be the first to get shot" one of the guys in a mask says
Then the phone in the restaurant rings another guy goes and answers it.
"Is there a Caleb Grimm here" he yells
I raise my hand and a guy with a gun points it at me.
"Stand up slowly. And then go answer the phone" he gruffly says
I do as I'm told and go to the phone.
C-hello
K-hi is this Caleb
C-yes. Who is this
K-I'm Kensi Blye. I work with Spencer. Are you and Chad alright
C-yes. How are the others
K-Spencer said Joey is fine and same with Spencer. Just make sure you listen to the guys and do whatever they say. We're working on getting you out. They will shoot you if you do something they don't like
C-ok
I hang up and they shove me back to where I was sitting next to Chad. Chad looks at me and I sign to him a summary of what Kensi said. Chad then signs back to me.
"Hey you two. What are you guys doing. Stop that" a guy yells
We stop and they grab me and move me to another table. There's about ten of us in this restaurant. There were more but they let them all go. There were about 23. The guy walks away and to the front of the restaurant. The person across from me signs to me.
P-who are you
C-I'm Caleb from a band
P-what's going on
C-I don't know. NCIS is outside trying to figure that out
P-we need to escape
C-we'll think of a plan
"Stop that. What are you doing. I told you to stop" Another guys yells
"I'm not doing anything. If I'm scared or nervous I fidget with my hands" I say
"What about you" the guy asks
The person across from me signs his answer.
"He said that he's deaf" I say
"Then how did he know what I said" the guy asks
"He said he can read lips" I say
"This isn't funny. Stop playing games. I will shoot and the first person I shoot will be you" the guy says
"Ok. Just one last question" I say
"Go ahead but if it's the wrong one you're dead" he says
"what or who do you want" I ask
"We're looking for christians. Particularly Christian singers. We figured there'd be at least one or two here" the guy said
"If they give themselves up would you let everyone else go" Chad asks
"I don't know. It depends. Now both of you shut the f*** up" the guy yells
"We're Christian singers" Chad and I say
"Oh really" a guy asks
"Yes" I say
"What band" another asks
"Anthem Lights" Chad says
One of the guys pulls out they're phone does something then shows it to the guy with the gun.
"I see. Anyone else" the guy asks
No one else stands up. I realize no other Christian musicians are here.
"Ok. Everyone else may leave but if a word is mention to the police these two are shot. Right away" The guy with the gun says
They all get up and scramble for the doors. They then shove Chad and I up and sit us at separate tables far away from each other. There's two of us and four of the others. Two with each of us. Two of them have a gun. 
"Why are you doing this" I ask
"Because of something that happened in the past" the one without the gun says
"What happened" I asked
"Our sisters" the one with the gun says
"That's not much information" I say
"D*** it smart mouth. Keep it shut or you're dead" the one without the gun says
*Kensi POV*
All these people run outside and we pull them behind the barricade.
"What's going on in there" I ask one of them
"We weren't allowed to say" She says 
Some be comes over and starts signing.
I then sign back.
K-slow down
P-two hostages. Four people holding them. Two have guns.
K-ok. Thank you. Anything else
P-no
The person walks off and I turn to Anna.
"Chad and Caleb are in there and at gunpoint probably" I say
"How do you know sign language" she asks
"I learned just for this reason. If someone was deaf and was a witness. Deeks and I took the class together" I say
She's about to say something when my phone rings. I answer and put it on speaker.
K-hey Sam. You're on Speaker with me and Anna
S-how is it going down there
A-there's two hostages still inside. From Spencer's band. Then four people holding them hostage. Two have a gun
D-ok. Keep trying. We checked in with Spencer and Callen and Hetty set up a safe house for Anthem Lights and their family's. Matthew is staying here at his house but we're staying here with him.
K-ok. Protect him
S-you two do the same
I hang up and put my phone in my pocket. Then the police phone we have with us rings. I answer it.
K-hello
G-is this Agent Kensi Blye
K-yes. Who is this
G-not important if you want the two inside with us to stay alive you must bring me Matthew West, all the members of Anthem Lights, and anyone else who was on Winter Jam last year.
K-how long do we have
G-5 hours
K-ok
G-clock is ticking
I hang up and sigh. I quickly send all the info to Eric and Nell and they get working. Eventually everyone is here.
"Wait we're missing someone" Joel from For King and Country says
"Who" Joey asks
"Wasn't Alan there? Didn't here perform at some of the shows. They might make him be there too" Luke (Joel's brother) says
"He's at the Hospital. Brycie just had their son this morning" Joey says
"Call him" I say
Joey nods and does so. Ten minutes later a guy shows up.
"Great. 5 minutes to spare" Anna says
I go over to the police phone and call the restaurant.
G-you got them
K-yeah. No weapons no vests. Just don't shoot them
G-I won't. Unless they f*** up.
I hang up and explain a plan to everyone and they go in. I just hope they all come out alive.
