"Aphmau!"

And just like that, I'm up. My teacher is probably yelling at me, but I'm not really listening. I'm looking around the room. Looking at all the faces I didn't care enough to remember. The blurred faces. I rub my eyes and look at my teacher. She looks.... Concerned?

"Aph sweetie are you okay? You look a little... Pale..." I probably have a confused look on my face. My head and back hurt but it's probably because of how I was sleeping on my desk.

"I'm... Fine I guess? I just need to wake up a little m'am." I say to my teacher, I don't need her yelling at me with this headache.

"No no, you need to go to the nurse. Travis, take Aphmau to the nurse. Make sure to hurry back." Some white haired kid stands up and walks over to me. I don't really know him that well.

We walk out the classroom, and then my head starts spinning, I instantly feel tired and my back hurts a lot.

"Owie..." I mumble, holding my head.

"Y- You okay?" Travis, or whatever his name is, looks at me.

"I'm... Fine I guess. Let's just hurry up..." We quickly get to the nurses office. I walk in and sit on a chair near the door.

"You can go now. I'll be in class soon I guess." I kick my legs back and forth. Travis waves bye to me before he leaves. He seems nice.

I sit in the bright nurses office. I look around at all the pictures on the wall. Most of them are diagrams of a body or something. Some show pictures of how people breathe and other stuff I wasn't taught yet. I look down at the wooden chair I happen to be sitting in. I look up and see a short lady walk up to me. Her blond hair falls over her shoulders and he green eyes look into my brown ones.

"Why are you here today little lady?" She says to me, a little smile on her face.

"My teacher sent me here cuz she said I looked a little pale... And my head hurts a bit." She looks over me and nods her head. She stays silent for a few seconds before she picks me up from under my arms, lifting me up from the chair and sitting me on those really uncomfortable nurse beds. I giggle a little as she puts me down.

"What's your name sweetheart?" She asks me as she picks up a popsicle stick.

"I'm Aphmau..." My head starts to spin again. Her face starts to get a little blurry.

"Mhm. Can you say 'Ah' for me?" I open my mouth and she presses the popsicle stick on my tongue. She looks in my mouth for a sec before shaking her head and throwing the stick away and checking my temperature.

"Your burning up. You probably just have a little fever. Anything else hurting you?" I nod and hold my right arm with my left hand.

"My head and back hurt a lot..." She walks over to the freezer and grabs me an ice pack. She gives it to me and I hold it on my head. The room seems to be getting brighter and brighter by the second.

"I'm sorry, but that's all I can do. I can't give medicine to any one under 10. School policy." I nod and say thank you as I jump off the bed thing. She picks me back up and sits me back down.

"Buuuut I do have to send you home, and suggest that you go to the doctor so that they can make sure everything is okay." She smiles at me before walking over to her desk and flipping through her folders, probably looking for my mom's number. I sigh and lay down on the brown uncomfortable bed thing.

"I feel sleepy..." I say aloud. The nurse looks at me and laughs.

"Your welcome to take a nap until your mom comes to pick you up, okay?" I smile just a bit.

"Thanks m'am..." I slowly close my eyes. Falling asleep on the spot.
