May 20th 1921

Maria and I have left for Russia on train. The smoke is so thick that I want to pull down the windows, its chocking me up because Maria loves the smell of train smoke when I don't. The reason Maria loves the some so much is because she was born on a train like the one we are on now, I don't understand her at all, she's kind of mad to me but she makes a good companion and I forgot to add that she is very beautiful I would love to marry her someday.

We have arrived at Russia, Moscow at our hotel it is very big and beautiful with giant windows for each room facing us. Our room isn't as oppressive as the outside of the hotel, Maria and I have to share a queen bed when I asked for two twin beds but they mixed up the order, I'm so embarrassed now in front of Maria even though she doesn't mind I think.

Tomorrow we start our work to find the killers location anyway we better get some rest for tomorrow.
