15 years later

It was around three in the morning as I lay in my bed, a storm outside crashing with lighting and thunder. My body tensed as I heard the door creak open. A quick imagine popped into my head as I saw my younger sister, Sae, walk in.

I slowly sat up, arms wrapping around her as she lunged at me. Her freezing cold body hugging my warm body as sobs racked through her. "Shh" I whispered soothingly to her "it's okay, I'm here." After about ten minutes of her sobbing she finally calm down enough. "Shh" I whispered to her "your safe." We sat there for a few more hours, falling asleep to the sounds of the storm.

Suddenly I woke up, my body tensing as I heard the familiar sound of guards boots walking down the hallway, occasionally stopping to check a cell. I quickly woke Sae up and jumped out of my bed, listening to the guards boots as I quickly carried her out of my cell. The shadows from the night wrapped around me and I snuck her into her cell, tucking her into bed and quickly running back to my cell, locking the door behind me.

The guards boots stopped in front of my cell after a moment, a visual image popping into my head of his two green eyes peering into my room. The instinctive Majakai part of my mind wanted me to use my powers to kill him, while the more intelligent part told me to keep quiet. As usual, I listened to the smarter part, my mind looking at the gun he had in his holster. After a moment his footsteps walked off, checking other cells. I was safe, but for how longer?
