At six am sharp lou woke up and began preparing breakfast for everyone. Lou prepared the table and then went to wake up Lucy and Eli. He woke Lucy first by gently shaking her.

Lou then moves to Eli and does the same thing. Soon enough all three of them were sitting down at Lou's table eating the food he's prepared.

After breakfast lou turned into a dragon, and flew Lucy and Eli towards what lou liked to call 'the training arena'. It was a hidden arena that was made over a million years ago. Lou had stumbled upon it when he was a young boy and kept it hidden to not have it overrun by others. The only two other people to know were Jayden and Elanor.

Lou flew into the arena and landed.

"Wow." Eli breathed, looking around, "this is. . . awesome."

The training arena had trees surrounding Greek temples that were in a circle for the fight to take place in, or in this situation, training. Inside the circle of Greek temples were old fake metal dummies with cushion bellies covered by armor that was stuck inside the dirt. Lou led the friends to the middle of the arena.

"This is where I trained Jayden and Elenor." lou explained, "here we not only have privacy and won't be caught, but I found these dummies in here the day I discovered the arena and luckily they haven't completely broken yet."

"How did you find this place?" Lucy asked.

"I was walking around the forest when a manticore sneaked up on me. Most manticores are friendly but this one was not." Lou answered, "He tried killing me but luckily I found this arena and was able to hide in here."

Eli and Lucy explored the arena while lou set up.

Once lou was done setting up Eli and Lucy were called over.

"So, how is this whole training thing going to work?" Eli questioned.

"Well, I'm not exactly sure." lou answered, "I trained Jayden and Elenor but they didnt have the gift as far as I could tell. So I don't exactly know how to train you two."

"And nobody knows what this 'gift' is, right?" Lucy replied, "Because it said The kids have powers for which none have before. But it doesn't say what the power is."

"You're right," lou told her, "nobody knows what the gift is. There have been some guesses but nobody truly knows."

"Then how are you supposed to train us?" Eli spoke.

"That's the first part of the training. Figuring out your powers." lou said, "alright, let's begin. Let's start with the basilisk."

"Let's not" Lucy argued.

"Why not?" lou replied.

"She's scared of snakes," Eli told him.

"Ah," lou responded, "anyways, let-"

"No." Lucy ordered, "Not Basilisk's. We don't have those."

"Oh, uh-"

"Don't ask me how I know, I just do," Lucy said.

"Okay. uh, how about, something simple, like, fairy's," lou replied.

Lou told them what to do and they listened, Eli closed his eyes and imagined using ice, just like lou told them to do, like a fairy. Lucy imagined growing plants like Nimiel. However, nothing happened.

"Hmmm," lou hummed, "not fairy's. . ."

Suddenly lou got a bright idea, which Eli noticed.

"What is it?" Eli asked.

"I'll be right back. Stay here," lou told them.

Lou changed back into a dragon and flew off, leaving Eli and Lucy alone.

Lou was soaring through the sky to make it look like he was leaving, when instead he was going to stay, but hidden. Lou had an idea but he needed the kids to be alone so he could test it.

Lou landed on the ground without having Lucy and Eli see. He walked slightly towards the arena and stopped when he saw them.

Lucy and Eli were just standing there waiting for lou to return. Lou whispered a spell and cast it.

A huge ugly beast with red eyes and sharp fangs along with brown fur, appeared in front of Lucy and Eli, who jumped back when they saw the beast. The beast slashed at the kids, who both jumped away, however, Eli had jumped higher than lou had ever seen.

"How did you do that?!?" Lucy exclaimed.

"I don't know!" Eli yelled.

The beast then went after Lucy, who froze it in its tracks. Both kids stared suspiciously at the beast.

"What is it?" Lucy asked.

"I don't know. it doesn't look like anything I've seen in the books about mythology." Eli answered, "Hey, how'd you freeze him?"

"No clue." Lucy replied, "I just didnt want him to hurt me or anyone so I willed him to stop."

"I wonder how he got here." Eli said, mostly to himself it seems, he turned to Lucy, "How much longer do you think lou is going to be?"

Before Lucy could answer lou walked out of the forest. Startled Eli accidentally shot fire in Lou's direction. Lou jumped out of the way just in time or he would've been toast.

"Woah, kid. It's okay," lou told him.

"What were you doing in the trees?!?" Eli exclaimed.

"Don't be angry..." lou started, "I was testing you two."

"You made the beast come didnt you?" Lucy asked.

"Yes," lou responded.

"But you would've had to use your wizard powers," Eli noted, "you said you don't use them anymore."

"I only use it when it's necessary." lou explained, "Now I know at least some of your powers, meaning I can start training."

They then spent hours training their new powers. While training they figured out, that Eli could shoot fire out of his hands along with jumping high. While Lucy can pause time as well as summon things to her when needed. Lou felt there were more powers but decided to take a break before trying to draw them out.

Lou took the kids to a small creek for lunch and showed He had made them seameat sandwiches. The kids and lou sat down in front of the creek and began eating.

"So, what's our plan to defeat Silver?" Lucy asked, "We have some training but not much, definitely not enough to defeat Silver. Also, will this allow Eli and I to go back home afterward or will we be stuck here?"

"You tried to leave and couldnt?" lou responded.

Eli nodded.

"This just proves you two are the kids for the prophecy!" lou exclaimed, "all the other ones could leave, you two can't."

Lucy was about to ask another question but then. . .

"Well, well, well," a familiar voice said, the voice belonged to Tinsel, "look who's at the creek."

Lou and the kids stood up immediately and faced the council. They were surrounded.

"I was hoping Tinsel was lying." fayetta spoke with a tone as if she was grieving, "lou you are under council arrest and shall be killed this following night by silver, youll be taken to the town hall waiting for your execution. Please come willingly."

Grey glared at the kids, "As for you two, you shall be thrown off the cliff immediately."

"Wait!" Eli yelled, everyone looked at him.

"What are you doing?" Lucy whispered.

Eli ignored her and continued, "Lucy and I can help you guys, we're learning our powers. You don't need to do this."

"Quiet!" fayetta snapped, "you will be thrown off the cliff as that's the law."

"Please-" lou started.

"Don't." tinsel warned.

Fayetta stepped forward and Eli jumped back landing in the creek. Fayetta glared but grabbed lou making him fall asleep. Grey stepped forward without Lucy noticing and grabbed her. Lucy tried to get away but fayetta made her sleep too. The same fate went to Eli.
