chapter fourteen
Eli glared at Silver, wanting to say some snarky words but he was unable to talk. Silver stared him down, her eyes filled with evil.
"You thought you could defeat me?" Silver antagonized, "I have beaten people who have a life filled with training, and you, who have barely any think you could do it? How mistaken you were."
Eli kept glaring at her wanting to speak. Silver realized this.
"Oh I'm sorry, I can't have a conversation without you being able to talk. Silly me."
Silver waved her hand allowing Eli to now talk but he still could not move.
"Where is Lucy?!" Eli demanded.
"Oh, the girl?" Silver replied, "She's safe, with me."
"Give her back,"
"No." Silver responded, "You see, you two are less powerful when separated and if I destroy her first, well, then you have even more no chance at winning. Plus while I'm torturing her, you'll also be getting tortured as you have no clue if she's okay or not."
Eli was furious, no one threatened his friend. Eli willed all his strength into breaking free. It was like glass shattering. He threw a fireball right into Silver's face. And got ready to fight.
Silver exclaimed when the fireball hit her. She coughed and patted away the flames.
"How dare you." Silver glared, "I was going to torture you, but I'm done with your games, time to go, bye-bye."
Eli blocked his face ready to be snapped out of existence but when Silver snapped her fingers that didn't happen.
"WHAT?!?" Silver exclaimed, she snapped her fingers but everything was still the same, "WHY WONT IT WORK?!?"
Eli just stared in confusion. He took the opportunity of Silver being distracted to blast her with more fireballs. Silver noticed this however and made it disappear like air.
"Silly little boy." Silver started, she sighed annoyed, "I suppose I will just keep with my original plan. I don't know why I can't snap you out of existence, but don't worry, you'll be gone soon."
Eli threw more flames at her but Silver had already disappeared. Eli stood there, frozen, he didn't know what to do next.
"No time to get distracted. Lucy needs you," Eli told himself.
he took off back to Celest's cottage.

Eli entered the cottage fast and set the supplies down on the table. That's when he realized, he didn't have the other supplies for demisso potentia. Eli tried to stop the fear that was pushing itself up, but this time it was too strong. Everything that has happened these past days was coming at Eli all at the same time. Eli was soon unable to breathe while tears were streaming down his face.
It felt as if someone was standing on his chest. Eli knew what was happening, he was having a panic attack. He grabbed his chest and started coughing. He slowly moved his way to a wall, using the table and chairs as support. He reached the wall and slid down it still trying to breathe. He felt himself getting lightheaded.
"Breathe." Eli wheezed out.
Whenever Eli had his panic attacks he would tell himself to breathe to remind his brain and it would always snap him out of it, not this time however, this time it didn't work because Eli couldn't stop thinking of Lucy being tortured and then killed which only got it worse.
Eli weakly forced himself up and walked into the pantry. He grabbed a bottle of coconut stardust and forced himself to take a sip. Instead of breathing again, he started choking on it.
Eli fell over hitting his head on the counter, he hit the ground and his vision faded. . .

Eli awoke with a splitting headache. He opened his eyes and was greeted with the bright lights of Celest's cottage. The last memory he had before passing out came straight back to him. He sat up immediately which did nothing to help his head. He grabbed his head and felt a warm liquid, he looked at his hand and saw his blood on it.
"Great," Eli said to himself slowly standing up and using the counter as a cane, Eli thought of what to do, he needed to come up with a plan.

Suddenly, one clicked, it was a risky plan but it could work. Eli stumbled to the supplies he had to make the scutum potion spell and put them on the counter. He grabbed the book with the instructions in it and turned off the lights. He lit his hand on fire and wrote down the instructions exactly how they needed to be.
He got rid of his flame and turned back on the lights, putting the book down in the process. He then began to make the spell potion.
He grinded the fire celery for a few minutes then transferred it into a cup. He added a dash of water and mixed it until it was a lumpy paste. He then put the storm seeds in only to take them out and put them back in right away. He grabbed a pan and filled it with fresh clean water then added the mixture into it. He put it on the stove and brought it to a gentle simmer.
Eli waited until it was a thick syrup and then gently added the silk bay leaf and mercy cinnamon. He then Rapidly heated the mixture until it was hot, he mixed in the Mountain Vanilla and let everything cool down and rest.
Once it was all rested he used a spoon to remove all the impurities floating at the surface. The spell potion was now done.
Eli carefully transwered the spell potion to a round beaker making sure to not spill any of it. He had found a belt in the closet that was perfect for holding the spell potions while the spell potion was cooling. He put the belt on and was ready to continue with his plan. He grabbed two more bottles of the coconut stardust and exited the cottage, hoping his crazy plan would work.

Lucy had no clue where she was when she first woke up. She was lying on a freezing cold floor. She opened her eyes and saw she was back in the dungeon. This time however she was alone. She had a blue glowing bracelet on her wrist, lucy tried taking it off but it wouldn't budge. she tried to melt the walls like before but it failed. Lucy took a deep breath to calm herself.
"Okay. . ." Lucy said to herself, "Obviously this bracelet blocks my powers. Meaning I can't escape by myself."
Lucy then saw all the supplies to make the demisso potentia spell potion in the corner. Lucy closed her eyes and saw the recipe in her mind. She decided to make the potion and hide it so hopefully Eli will find it. Lucy grabbed the supplies and began.
The first thing she did was squeeze the Black Vanilla with a pestle and mortar. The next thing she needed to do was add ice to let it melt. Lucky for her there was an icicle hanging off the top window, lucy then added the Blue Angelica in tiny amounts at a time.
All that was left now was to let it sit for an hour before adding the Monk's Mint and Water Tarragon, she stirred it together and then did the last step, mix in the Blood Rosemary, and let everything rest until the mixture had a thick consistency. It sat for an hour and a half.
She then stirred it all together till it was liquid again. She poured it into a vile she found and hid it in the corner where it could only be seen from a specific angle.
Now all that was left was to wait.
