I: The Unopenable Underground Utopia
After their first adventure in "Video Club", Theo and Lukas didn't dare go back into the library.
But that didn't stop Yasmin who needed to have a book with her every waking moment of her life. The girl finished the average chapter book in two to three days. She was also tutored at the library and had obligations too with the place.
Sailor, on the other hand, wanted to try to go back into the secret place they had entered from. She went every day chanting the same riddle she first heard and picked the same book but nothing happened. The blonde would leave the library a little bit dejected after saying goodbye to Yasmin.
"Are you okay?" Yasmin once asked as one of her only friends passed.
Sailor, who noticed someone was looking at her, chipped in with the response, "Yup! Never better."
Yasmin wanted to point out the lie, but thought better of it.

Then the fateful day arrived.
"You have to see a tutor!" Mes. Reed yelled at him after most of the high schoolers were gone.
It was reading class and Lukas was scared of the books. Their recent adventure scared him so much that he couldn't read properly since he was scared of getting sucked into it.
Gluping, he silently accepted his fate. "Okay..."
Walking out of the classroom, a figure followed him. This only scared Lukas more as he sped up to face his doom. As he reached the media center's archway a hand touched his shoulder.
"Ah!" Lukas grunted as he turned around to see who the hand belonged to. The ginger took a deep breath and sighed, catching his breath as he realised it was only Theo. "It's just you."
"Hey, chill down," Theo said, removing his hand from Lukas' shoulder. "I noticed how freaked out you were in reading class. I'm also a little scared of entering the library."
After catching his breath Lukas answered truthfully, "Me too..." He looked down at Theo's big shoes. They looked to be about a size 14. "Would you mind being with me while I go in there?" His eyes gassed at the library with all of it's books. From his spot he could see Yasmin sitting and reading; a pile of other subject books around her.
"Sure," Theo said, trying to sound confident for his friend, but he himself was a little nervous. Lukas didn't hear that he also had to be mandatory tutoring by someone in the library.
The two bros walked into the media center. It seemed that everyone was looking at them. Whether that be true or not, they couldn't tell, but it probably did because they were walking really slowly like how spies in action movies do when they tip-toe into the bad guy's liar. Maybe that is what it seemed like to them.
When they finally got close to the table Yasmin was at she stood up. "Ah, Theo you made it. Mrs. Reed told me that you had mandatory tutoring by me. You made it just in time," Yasmin said in the most professional manner she could muster while looking at her friends. It was something she tried to convey to her 'students', but this time it was much more difficult. Not only because of their snail pace entacne, but also because they were her friends.
Lukas looked at the gentle giant with a confused look. "You have tutoring as well?"
"Yup," Theo calmly, sitting down on the provided wooden chair. He still wanted to make sure that Lukas was not too scared.
"Let's get started." Yasmin softly clapped her hands together. "Lukas..." with her hands in a prayer-like position she pointed them together Theo Finch "You can wait over there." Her hands pointed to shelves filled with books.
Lukas gulped before he walked closer to the books. He put his hands inside his pocket to try to distract himself. He accepted to find them empty, but instead a rock touched his hand. He grabbed it and pulled it out. It was the Emerson Emerald from the book Video Club.
Hearing someone coming behind him, he put the gemstone back, "Hi, Lukas!" they said only to be shushed by the librarian. "Even if I saved that man from a sudden career change he still shushes me." It was Sailor.
A smile spread across his face. At least it was someone he knew.
"Hey," Lukas said, his shaky hand being raised but not waved. It shakes more like a leaf on a windy day trying dearly to hold on to its tree branch.
"I haven't seen you in the library in a while," Sailor said passing him, but Lukas followed her. "I've been coming here every day."
"Why?" Lukas asked a little shocked she would even come back here from what had conspired a few weeks ago. "Aren't you afraid of almost getting trapped in another book?"
Sailor stopped, causing Lukas to lightly bump into her. Still the blonde didn't move a muscle. "Trapped you say..." Lukas didn't like how her demeanor changed. Her bubbly self seemed to have fizzled away at the word trapped. "You have the letter, right?"
Lukas put his hand in his other pocket, the one that didn't have the Emerson Emerald. Low and behold, the letter was there. Lukas mentally told himself to stop moving the items from his pockets to the pockets he was going to use the next day. "Yes...?"
Sailor grabbed the folded paper in her hands and read a part of it, "'I have been trapped in between the pages of one of these books...'. This is signed by Miss Addams, my favorite teacher, no person in the entire world!" After a curt 'shush!' Sailor continued, "Now she's not here and is instead replaced by that evil, shushing librarian. How would you like it if someone precious to you was gone and you knew that you could somehow bring them back? Wouldn't you do anything?"
Lukas was silent. He did know what it was like to lose someone precious to him.
His mother.
But he could never bring her back, because he didn't know where she went.
Tears welled up in his eyes, sniffles echoed out of his nose. Sailor coming down from her rant noticed the crying boy and tried to make him feel better with a hug. Her arms tightly wrapped around him she whispered, "I'm sorry." into his ear. As his tears began to turn into streams Sailor let go and retrieved some tissues. They had made a decent pile on the ground before all the tears were more or less gone.
"I'm sorry," Sailor repeated. "I guess you do know what it feels like. I'm sorry for bringing up those memories... I don't know who you lost, but now you know how I feel about this probably better than most. Yasmin might think I'm crazy for doing this for weeks." A forced chuckle exited her mouth trying to lighten the mood.
"Say, do you want to do it with me today?" Sailor asked. Seeing the shocked expression on his face she quickly added, "You don't have to do it if you don't want to. We could just hang out with Yasmin until she's done with her last tutor before lunch. I wonder where Theo is."
"Theo is her last 'student'," Luaks explained.
"Oh, then I guess it's decided; we'll go to Yasmin and-"
"I'll do it," Lukas stated.
"Do what?" Sailor asked.
"I'll read the book thing with you."
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"Let's do this then!" Sailor lead the way to the particular book which brought them into the secret library.
"This book?" Lukas asked, touching the special book.
"Yup," said Sailor, popping the 'p'.
Touching the book by its spine, Lukas pulled it towards him.
"It worked! Oh my goodness it worked!" Sailor said, clapping her hands. This time she didn't revive a shushing, and instead the sound of the librarian chair stealing against the floor was heard. "Let's go, we have to go rescue Mrs. Reed!" Sailor grabbed Lukas' hand which made him as stiff as a statue.
He somehow managed to shake off her hand and said, "Shouldn't we get Yasmin and Theo first?"
"There's no time. Book time—that's what I'm going to call the time we are inside the books-."
"Wait," interrupted Lukas. "Are you saying that we are going to go into multiple books?"
"Duh, I'm going to go into another one as soon as I get done there. Book time must be faster than our time. She's probably been there for years by now!" Sailor turned away and rushed down the concrete stairs, her shoes echoing every step she touched.
Lukas hated seeing his friend leave him, and took a deep breath. 'Should I go and follow her or get my friends?'
Lukas gutted out of the bookshelves to the table he was previously at. Theo and Yasmin having a casual conversation.
"—put it simply, violins are smaller and higher pitches while violas are big and lower pitched."
"Interesting," Theo said, nodding his head. He didn't look like he thought the topic of the difference between orchestral instruments were interesting but he nodded anyway.
"Yasmin. Theo." Lukas slammed his palms on the wooden table tunnel visioning their eyes to the ginger. "Sailor went to the secret library. We have to follow her."
"How did she open it?" Yasmin whispered as they quickly walkedquickly speed walked to the back of the library where the stairs case was. "She's been unsuccessful for these past two weeks."
"Well... I opened it—but I didn't think I did anything different," Lukas raised his voice on the last word in his confusion. His tone matched that of someone who was shrugging.
Theo paused at the entrance and directed his hands to the stairs. "Ladies first."
Lukas rushed to the stairs, bypassing Theo's comment and dismissing it intriley. Maybe he didn't hear it. Yasmin smiles and comments, "How chivalrous of you" before touching the first stair.
The three of them scampered down the staircase not caring for the bookshelves of books. All Lukas cared about was Sailor and what she had gotten herself into. A book laid on the podium.
"Looks like Sailor is already in this one," Theo said, stating the obvious.
Lukas took a step forward and began reading already knowing what to do from the first time this happened to him. "Some people have names that reflect their occupation like how many people who are named Denis become dentists. Hunter Hunter had no election. He was a Hunter not not a hunter who hunts for food, no, Hunter was a treasure hunter. And he was about to go hunt for the great treasure known to man. The magical moonstone..."
