Chapter 5
"Eris, help us. Have mercy on us. Take revenge on us."
Eris frowned when she heard that voice. It was soft and gentle but it was getting louder and louder and many more voices were joining it.
"Eris! Make us avenge to him! You are our only hope!" shouted a woman while crying.
"Sister Eris, have mercy. Hear our voices." The child's voice was very familiar to her.
"He has no soul! He killed us all! Sister Eris!"
She realized the one calling her, a boy. She looked at him closely and recognized him as Sky. Weeping before her with many people.
"Sky?" She approached the child but was shocked when he shed blood.
"Help..." They kept saying. Eris stepped back and sat on the floor. They gradually approached her.
"Don't come near me!" She shouted in fear.
"Help..."
"Help us, sister Eris!" Sky shouted and suddenly the boy caught fire which made the fear in her chest even stronger.
"Stop!"
Eris got up quickly. Her nightmare visited her again. Her breathing was one after the other as if she would run out of air. Sweat drips from her forehead.
"Who are you? Why are you bothering me?" She tearfully asked in herself.
She looked at her wrist watch—it was six in the morning. She forgot to eat last night. Her companions didn't bother her anymore, maybe she was already sound asleep.
She took a deep breath. She thought she would never wake up again. She was surprised because her nightmare seems to have gotten worse now. Sky is already included in her bad dreams but she can't recognize the child's companions. Their faces were just blurred.
She caressed her face, stood up, and left the room. She immediately looked for Aya. When she found the woman, she pulled her to a place where no one could hear their conversation.
"Let's go home, Aya," She determinedly said to her.
"Huh? Why are we going home? Our conduct isn't over yet. Tomorrow is our last day. Why all of a sudden?" Aya asked in wonder.
"I dreamed of Sky, he was asking for help and there were people with him but I don't know them. Aya, I don't think we are with normal people here," Eris said confusedly.
"Eris, wait a minute. What is really happening to you? Why are you acting like this?"
"I don't know either. I just have a strong feeling that the people with us here are not human," She said almost in a whisper.
"Eris, are you insane? Maybe you should really see a psychiatrist! You're annoying!"
"I'm telling the truth! Believe me!"
"Okay, Eris. Stop it. I don't know what to do with you. They're normal, okay? What will they say when they find out what you're talking about? It's embarrassing."
"But Aya..."
"Maybe you're just tired, that's why you're seeing and thinking about something. When we get back, rest, okay?" Aya grabbed her shoulder.
Why doesn't her friend believe her?
Whenever she tells her about it, she always contradicts her. She failed to convince her friend again. If she had enough evidence, Aya would have believed in her long ago.
"I'm sorry." Eris gave up on their argument.
"I understand. I know you're tired but we can handle it. We can graduate, do you understand?" She nodded at his friend.
"Sorry for the trouble, Aya."
"All right." She smiled at her.
"I'll go back to what I'm doing," Aya announced.
"All right." She watched her friend walk away. She thought that she was just tired and that she might be hallucinating.
She amused herself by getting bond paper and a pen. She will do the conclusion of their studies. The rest is up to Aya to make it easier for them to compile.
She was about to start her writing when Fumiya approached her.
"Eris."
"Hmm?" She watched the woman who had just arrived.
"I want to confess something to you." She looked at the woman again and her face was very serious. It seems that what she will say is very important.
"What is it?"
"Do you want to know the mystery of Villa del Francia?" That immediately aroused her attention.
She never thought of Fumiya as the one who could answer all her questions, so that the things that were bothering her mind would be over.
"Yes," She answered directly.
"Something happened then..." Began the person next to her.
"What happened then?"
"They fi—" Fumiya was cut off when Aya's mother called out to her.
"Fumiya, go with your Uncle to town first. I can't go with him for now because I have something important to take care of for the upcoming fiesta of our Barangay. You know your Uncle can't walk properly anymore. Take care of him first."
"Ah, okay, Tita. Only next time, Eris. I'll leave this time."
They didn't wait for Eris to answer and the two left immediately. Eris was left dumbfounded thinking that she would get the information she needed. It seems that she won't be able to talk to the woman again because she is also busy. Fumiya only has free time when she is around and Eris won't be able to approach her anymore because they are leaving the next day.
"It can't be. I have to get something, even if it's just a small details."
It seems that Eris is about to go crazy because she's itching to know the mystery of that place. But how will she know if someone is always stopping people who want to tell her?
She also doesn't want to bother Aya anymore because she won't talk either. But she wonders about the woman because she seems to know something but doesn't want to tell her?
What's your secret, Aya?
