Chapter 21

     When the Ellington family arrived in London, Mrs. Ellington held more grand and splendid parties to cheer up her daughter and make her happier, but the guests at these parties asked Georgiana, who was thirty-one years old, who she was married to and whether she had children. Georgiana was anxious and distressed and wished that someone would come and save her from this painful situation, and although Karen helped her every time and explained to the guests who asked that Georgiana had amnesia, they still spread rumors that Georgiana was an old maid or that she had run away from home as a child, which caused a lot of grief for Georgiana and her family. Anyway, with all the joy and pain and hardship that was, four years passed until finally, with Georgiana's insistence, all the members of the Ellington family returned to Ramsgate. Although Mrs. Ellington was strongly opposed to returning, she could not prevent it.
