CHAPTER 3
After the party, everyone left for their respective homes.

Meanwhile, Nandini reaches back home to the mess she left in the morning leaving her all dejected.

She cleans up the mess hurling abuses to herself, cooks lunch, and decides to take a nap.

After a while
Nandini's beauty sleep is disturbed by a call. She lazily grabs her phone and answers the call.
It was the receptionist from the office. (R)

Nandini: Hellooo
R: Good evening madam, I am speaking from the Malhotra Industry.

(Nandini gets up with a jerk)
Nandini: Yes (nervously)
R: Congratulations Ma'am you have cleared the interview and you are offered the job as the P.A. of Mr. Malhotra.

(Nandini jumped on the, does a little happy dance and then replies calmy)

Nandini: Thank you So much. When do I have to join?

R: You have to join the office from tomorrow and the formalities will be completed tomorrow itself.
Congratulations once again.

Nandu: Thank you once again.

Nandini started jumping around with happiness. It meant a lot to her. She thanked her aaiyaappa with a teary eye.

I wish,
Chacha, Chachi, Rishabh, and Amms were here too.
They'll be so happy to know this.

Let me call amms
(Amms : South Indian term for Grandmother is Amma, Nandini fondly calls her grandmother Amms.)

*Call*
Nandu: Hello amms, How are you?
You know I am so so so happy today.

Amms: Nandu kanna, why are you so happy today?

Nandu: Amms if you hear what I am about to say you will go crazy too.

Amms: Common, tell me now. What is this suspense?

Nandu: Amms amms amms. I got the job.

Amms: Wow. That's such a happy news Kanna. I always knew you would make me proud. God bless you beta.

Nandu: Thank you amms. I wish you all were here too.

Amms: Don't be sad we'll come there soon. You get settled there and we'll join you in no time.

Nandu: Okay amms!

Amms : Now let me go and tell this news to everyone.

Nandu: Okay bye amms, miss you.

Amms: Miss you too kanna.

(Kanna is a south Indian term for daughter)

Nandini happily starts making dinner for herself.

MANIK'S HOUSE

After the party. Manik lied down on his bed and he got lost in thoughts.
He suddenly recalled his encounter with Nandini.
An ordinary girl who bumped into her left an impression on his mind? Why did he get so angry? Manik asked himself. He couldn't find an answer to that and he drifted to sleep.

NANDINI'S HOUSE:

Nandini was all excited about her new job. She sat down to have dinner terribly missing her family. Thinking about how she struggled to be here and finally, she is going to begin what she wanted.

She was nervous yet happy. Determined enough to fight through everything.

But is everything as good as it seems like?
