Kesler wasn't finished yet, time was ticking away fast. Who knew if, no don't think like that! I scold myself.

"Dad, let me try at least!" Dex shouted. They were arguing about what they needed to use next. I heard Dex groan, and a few seconds later he slumped against the couch next to me.

"Are you ok?" I ask tiredly.

"Yeah, I just wish he would at least let me try to help. I understand that this isn't some sort of fun experiment, but it would be nice if he let me help. I'm not stupid, I--"

"Dex, why don't you try it?" I ask.

"What do you mean?" I sounded shocked.

"You know, try making the antidote in another thingy," I shrugged.

He gave me the widest grin, it was kinda cute. Sophie and I have a lot of talking to do!

"Biana, you are a genius!" He shouted, jumping up from the couch and grabbing my hand. I followed him into his room. It was blue and had gadgets and alchemy stuff everywhere. It was totally different from Fitz's cluttered mess he called a room. Dex's was organized but still had stuff out and not put away.

"Wow," I whispered.

"Yeah, I know it's messy. I should probably clean it up tomorrow!" He gave me  a cheeky grin. I smiled back.

"Um, why am I here?" I asked.

"Well, I thought you could help me," His cheeks flushed red.

I smiled, "Ok, lets get started!"

Dex and I have been working on this stupid serum for hours. What's so complex about it? Why isn't it working.

"Dex, are you sure it's supposed to be simple?" I ask.

"Well, the...."

He starts talking all scientific and not wanting to seem dumb, I just nod.

"If only their was a simple thing that could cure anything!" Dex sighed in frustration.

"Dex, there is!" I shout excitedly.

He has a confused, but slightly amused smile on his face, "What?" He asks.

"Calla's tree blossoms!" I say, grabbing his hand and running down stairs.

"We got it!" Dex shouted, Kesler's head pops out.

"What?" He asks incredulously.

"Calla's tree blossom!" I say, grabbing a pathfinder and leaping to Havenfield.

Dex and I run to the tree, bumping into Grady who's taming Verdi again.

"What on Earth are you guys doing here?" Grady yells.

"Saving Keefe!" I call over my shoulder. Grady stares at us for a minute but then chuckles and went back to working on Verdi. Just your average day at Havenfield.

We reach the tree and I grab a handful of petals and grab my home crystal. Dex and I still holding hands, fading into the light.

We run down the halls and storm into the room, Keefe yelps. I look over and see a guy in a cloak searing his wrist.

"You!" I shout, I honestly didn't know who 'you' was but it probably scared it for a minute.

"Sophie!" Dex shouts. Sophie's eyes flutter open, the agent blasts Dex with a melder, and I charge. I jump onto his back, before he blasts Sophie, I don't stop fighting. I pull down his hood and start pulling at his hair screaming. I pound my fists on his back and head. I feel myself loose all feeling, he has blasted me, and I fall to the floor.

Right before my head hits the ground, I see Sophie's face filled with pain, anger, and hate. Good, now he'll probably die.

I hear someone scream, someone crying, and someone yelling. I want to wake up, but I can't. Everything is numb, I can't move anything. Worse yet, I don't remember anything, my name, what I look like, my family. All I remember is a pair of periwinkle eyes and a pair of pale blue eyes.

I know nothing, I feel at peace even though I don't want to be. I don't want to die, I want to thrive, but how can I do that when I can't escape this empty feeling?

"Biana?" I hear a timid voice say. I know the voice, he held my hand, he used to hate me. He has... think Biana think....he has periwinkle eyes. They're soft and inviting.

"Biana!" I hear a firm voice shout. I inwardly groan, this has to be the guy with pale blue eyes. He's caring, but tries to hide it, he is extremely protective of the people he loves.

"Leave! You boys are making the room to heated! She can't deal with you two arguing right now!" I hear a girls voice say. Sophie, my mind comes to the conclusion automatically.

I hear a door slam shut, must be Dex, Tam, and Fitz.

Biana, it's ok. You just lost conscious since you hit your head after the agent blasted you. The boys were being very unhelpful, however, blaming Dex. It wasn't anyone's fault. Even Keefe knows that. When you're ready, just open your eyes, and everything will be fine.

Sophie reassures me. The thing is, I want to open them now. I rest my energy. The melder blasted me, I'll have to wait a bit to regain feeling.

Slowly I open my eyes and my memories rush back like fire catching.

"I kicked butt didn't I?" I asked Sophie, beaming.

"Yeah," Sophie laughs. "Hey, thanks for distracting him back there. I knew what you were doing, however Tam thinks Dex pushed you in order to save himself!" Sophie shakes her head.

"They're so stupid!" I say, appalled.

"Yeah, anyway. You have some serious explaining to do! So, talk to me, Dex or Tam?" Sophie wiggles her eyebrows.

"Did Dex give you the blossoms?" I ask alarmed.

"Yeah, Elwin gave them to Keefe while you were out. Amazing idea, by the way!" Sophie winks.

"Is he up?" I ask.

"No, he's resting so it can do the trick," Sophie sighs, looking at the figure to the left.

He's slowly gaining strength.

"I think we should probably go outside, I don't think it would be a good idea with those boys in here!" Sophie laughs.

I walk outside and the arguing stops.

All of the boys run up to me, except Keefe of course, but Dex beats them to it. He hugs me. My heart quickens.

"I am-are you ok?" He asks carefully.

"I am absolutely fantastic, I purposely jumped on the guys back to give Sophie more time to inflict the mallowmelt out of him!" I smile, looking at Tam specifically.

Fitz hugs me next, "I am just glad you didn't shatter your brains on the floor!" He smiles, and I punch his shoulder.

Tam gives me an awkward hug, I felt a pang of disappointment.

But, for now, I'm going to push my boy problems away, and I'm going to focus on being me. Being a great friend, and I'm going to focus on being a kid.

Sophie smiles at me, and soon we're all outside playing Base Quest, today was a great day after all.
