This isn't like thousands of people, but to me it is a lot! I really didn't think many people would read my stuff, but this is AWESOME like mallowmelt! So thanks a whole lot! "Show me Linh," I said to the small square which was my imparter.

"Hey, Sophie! What's up?" She asked curiously.

"Oh, um, I kind of need your help. I kind of need you to use your ability so I don't burn down the whole place!" I said sheepishly.

"Sophie, what are you doing?" She asked worriedly.

"Ability training, come to Havenfield soon! Bye got to go!!" I said in a hurry, ending the call.

"Sophie, Biana's here!" Edaline yelled from the kitchen. What's Biana doing here?

"We need to talk right now!" She said angrily.

"Biana, calm down! What ever it is it'll be alright!" I said reassuringly.

"Sophie, I saw Keefe and Alvar at a jewelry store this afternoon!" She shouted.

"What?" I asked my heart going into butterfly mode.

"I saw Keefe and Alvar in disguises, the only reason I know that it was them was because Keefe gave me this!" She shoved a wrinkled paper and an envelope in my hands.

"Oh, and the envelope is for you. I didn't read it since it had your name on it," She said quietly.

My heart was pounding, what the heck was in there? Is he ok? I slowly unfolded the paper first.

Dear Biana, Fitz, or Dex, (I don't know which one I'll run into today)

I am ok, actually. Alvar is getting married to this wonderful person named Mareana. Well I'm guessing since he's buying the ring today. She is really nice, I can't tell you my plans in case this gets in the wrong hands, (Black Swan, Neverseen) but I want you guys to know that I'm ok, and I miss you all so much! (Including you Dizznee!) I wish I could be there with you guys at Foxfire, but my mom still needs my help. Sure I hate her, but she's still my mom! I hope you guys understand, this was my only option! I hated having to do this to you guys, but I'm not like you. I was meant for other things, maybe this time I'll have a better shot at fitting in? Maybe, I don't know. All these years I've none you guys, I knew one day someone would come and you'd finally realize I'm not as special as you think I am. Sophie is that person, and I really love her! Don't blame this on her, this isn't her fault at all! In fact, she was the one who helped me feel peaceful for once. Fitz, you're the good looking kind guy. Dex, you're the smart, funny, caring person that'll be your friend even when no one else is. Biana, you're the nice, charismatic, fashionista that keeps us on our toes. You guys are the best friends anyone could ask for, me, I'm just the guy who was there when you had no one else to go to. I never was and never will be like you guys! You guys have people who love you and you mean the world to them, I have no one. You go home to a warm house, with people who love you so much. I can't even imagine what that is like! You guys deserve better then me, so that is why I'm writing this. Fight for what is right, fight for your family, fight for the good cause!

I have one request though, please don't hate me!

I didn't know I was crying until Biana wrapped me up in a hug.

"I-I did this," I whispered.

"Sophie, he did it himself! Did you not read the letter? Look at the fine print, it says don't blame Sophie, it wasn't your fault! Keefe, is being a jerk about this whole thing! But there's one thing I know, and that's he's deeply in love with you Sophie, and when you see him, slap him and kiss him for all of us!" Biana's determination was rubbing off on me.

"You know what, I will!" I said as I quickly tore open the other envelope.

Ah, the Mysterious Miss. F finally decides to read me! Anyway, this is my cowardly way to talk to you! Foster, the best decision I made was to ditch that class and to walk you to Elwin's! Man, I've loved you ever since that day, I think about you all the time. I knew as long as I looked into your pretty chocolate brown eyes with golden flecks, I'd be ok. Sure, my life sucked, but you made it worth living! Sometimes I thought what it would be like if I hadn't existed. I hide behind the jokes and pranks, you know that. It makes it easier for me to deal with the tragic thing of my existence. You believe in me, and I know you're hoping for me to come back, but you will get your hopes up. I'm a lost cause, you'll be happier with someone like Fitz. I don't want to keep hurting you, I want you to forget about me, so then you can be happy. Sure I love you, so, so, much, but you can't waste your life waiting me to come back! You have to move on!

I told Biana that I had training to do for my new ability, and I'll hail her later.

"Linh's here!" My mom yelled. I hurried downstairs, my training has begun.

I was so sore! We had to work on fighting the urge of heat. Then we had to work on concentration. Linh had to use her ability more then once, which was gallons of water flinging all over me.

"Show me Biana," I whispered.

"Sophie, how'd it go?" She whispered.

"It went all right! But that isn't why I called you! At 12:30 meet me at Calla's tree with FItz and Dex! Bring something that reminds you of Keefe and something you want him to know! Ok, I've got to go! Bye!" I yelled. I heard Biana's desperate pleas to explain what was going on, but I already ended the call.

Great, now I had to talk to Sandor!

"So, you can't hurt him, ok?" I repeated for probably the thousandth time.

"I got it Sophie, no toughing your boyfriend!" He chuckled.

"Shut it! It's game time! Operation Keefe-Reverse!" I said excitedly.

I saw a dark shadow by the tree.

"Keefe?" My voice quivered.

"Sophie?" Keefe asked. I ran up to him and hugged him so hard.

"I missed you so much!"I whispered in his ear. I pulled down his hood and I kissed him. My fave was flushed when I pulled away. Then I slapped him hard.

"OW!" He yelled.

"Good! That's for leaving! Now, lets talk!" I said. 

He chuckled, "You know, you never make things easy Foster!"

"Well, I'm sorry! It has been a very stressful day! I had training for my new ability, the love of my life told me he loves me, but plot twist he thinks he isn't good enough, so therefor I'm here where he wants to say goodbye and I--"

"Wait, you have a new ability?" He asked amazed.

"You bet! And it is so awful, but it may be the only chance I have to get you back!"

"What is it?" He asked.

"Oh, I'm not telling you!" I said defiantly.

"Why not?" He challenged.

"I won't tell you until you agree to join the Black Swan again," I said.

"Sophie I can't! The council wants me in Exile!" He said running a hand through his hair.

"No, they don't!" I said.

"Yeah they do," Keefe said.

"Really, then how did I get them to sign this?" I asked as I pulled out a scroll.

"Sophie, what is that?" He asked nervously.

"YOUR life! You can have it back, all you have to do is take it!" I shrugged.

"I-I can't," He whispered.

"Yes you can!" I shouted. "You just have to want it!"

"I do, but my mom," He whispered.

"Yeah, and I have a plan for that too! With and without the Black Swan! I just need you!" I shouted.

"But I'm not a hero," He whispered.

"Well you are to me! You are by far the bravest person I have ever met, Keefe! What more do I have to do to show that I'm not leaving you behind again?" I pleaded.

"Sophie, there isn't anymore you can do to fix me," He whispered.

"Keefe, why are you doing this?" I asked.

"What?" He said.

"Why are you with them?" I asked.

"So, I can save my mom," He whispered.

"And have they done that!" I yelled.

"Well, they're still deciding if they can trust me--" 

"Keefe! Stop coming up with excuses for why they haven't done it yet! They're just like the Black Swan, they use people they know will get the job done, but they'll only do a job if they want to! Keefe they aren't going to give you what you want anytime soon! They are using you! Your mom is their way of manipulating you! They need you, not her! If they needed her, they would have rescued her a month ago with or without you on their side! Stop acting like they're helping you, because they aren't!" I screamed.

Tears were in his face, "I can't be the good guy," He whispered.

"Good! Cause I don't need or want a good guy! I want a funny, smart, risk taker guy whose name rhymes with reef!" I said.

"I'm not--"

"Good enough, yay yay! But I'm not either, neither is Fitz, Dex, Biana, or any other elf out there! No one is good enough, but you're the best I can do!" I said. Keefe was speechless.

Then one by one Fitz, Dex, and Biana came out and tackled Keefe.

"What are you guys doing here?" Keefe asked.

"Oh, I invited them to your welcome home party! You all can come out now!" I yelled.

Lights started turning on. Alden and Della, Grady and Edaline, Elwin, everyone that cares about Keefe is there. Even Alvar and some girl that kind of looks like Kesler.

"What is happening?" He whispered.

"Well, I knew once I told you what you needed to know, you still probably wouldn't stay. It takes everyone you love and care about to get someone to stay. So Biana, you can start!" I said.

"Keefe, for the longest time I had a crush on you, but now I like someone else. Sorry! But you will always be my third brother! Knowing what you did crushed me, but not as much as it did to Sophie. If you hadn't ever reached out to her, she probably would be broken, and on top of that, she manifested an ability no one wants! She chose to master it for you, Alvar, and Mareana's pardon. She hasn't mastered it yet, of course, but after the Neverseen are gone, maybe she can give it up! But, right now, she needs you to help her. I've begun to notice that you are one of the only things right now that cheers her up, you cheer everyone up! SO, you need to stay. WE all need you," She whispered as she handed him a muskog in a cage.

Then Fitz walked up, "Keefe, you are probably the smartest idiot I ever knew! You would do anything to ensure everyone's safety, which is why, even when you were with the Neverseen you wouldn't even belong! Same with Alvar and Mareana. None of you guys will belong because you guys actually care about something. You guys have something worth protecting! And Keefe, you are the best friend I could have ever had! And I was a huge jerk when it came to Sophie coming up with ways to rescue you, and this is far better then tracking your thoughts to a single location! Trust me! You are something that brings out the rebel in everyone, but still doing the right thing! Thanks for being there for me!" Fitz said as he handed him a balled up t-shirt.

Then Dex came up, "Keefe, I know we haven't been friends that long, but you are a close first with Sophie. You have this way about you that's hard to explain. You're kind of like Sandor, he is a brick wall, but he's like mallowmelt on the inside. We are all lucky to have met you!" Dex said. then Dex handed him a baby Gulon in a cage.

"Hey, I didn't have anything to do with that," Keefe croaked through tears.

One after the other people talked about him, but nothing could compare as to what came last.

Lord Cassius walked up and he didn't pause in front of Keefe he gave him a hug that lifted him off the ground.

"Keefe, all of my life I have judged you as a disappointment. The fact is, I never got to know you. I've been a terrible father for so long, but now I know how special you are. I think you deserve to know that you are my greatest accomplishment! And I-I love you," He whispered.

Keefe was full out sobbing, and so was his father. I walked up to Grady.

"Sorry I broke my promise," I told him.

"Some promises are worth breaking," Grady said. We smiled and Grady wrapped me in a hug.

"You are an amazing person," Edaline whispered in my ear.

"Not you guys too!" I fake groaned.

We watched as everyone glittered away. But then Alvar walked up.

"Hey, can I talk to you Sophie?" He asked.

"Yeah sure," I responded. We walked around the pastures.

"Sophie, I want to thank you for this. I wish I had someone to do this for me before I sunk to deep into Fintan's mayhem. You are a really special person, and I want to ask you if you could forgive me," He whispered.

"Alvar, you don't even have to ask me. Man, you guys are idiots! If I hated you why would I train to be a pyrokinetic in exchange for your pardons, and invite you to this!" I said laughing.

"You're a pyrokinetic?" Alvar asked.

"For the time being, Elwin is coming up with a way to try to erase it. Hopefully he can, cause I don't want to be like Brant!" I shuddered just thinking about it.

"I know why Keefe loves you," Alvar said with a smile.

"Am I invited to the wedding?" I asked sternly.

"How stupid are you? Of course you are! I have to have my best man's girlfriend there!" He chuckled.

"What about Fitz?" I asked.

"Oh, I can have two, or he can be the guy who carries the rings," Alvar shrugged.

"Oh, ok! I can't wait!" I said.

After everyone left I couldn't help but lie awake thinking about what Alvar said. 'I have to have my best man's girlfriend there!' I liked how that sounded.
