I stared up at the roof it wasn't dark but Snowdrop and Krystal were in the kitchen

talking I got up and walked to them but as I saw all the rooms all the bad memories came back and all these questions came into my head. Who is shadowing death? What are all the elements I'll need to learn how to control? Will it be hard? With all the questions and possible answers running through my head when I stopped thinking I found myself in the kitchen with both Krystal and Snowdrop staring at me. "What's wrong?" I asked then they pointed to the ground, so I looked towards my feet . . . Except my feet weren't touching the ground I screamed and then fell. "What just happened Krystal?" I yelled, but she just looked at me dumbfounded "what just happened?" I asked again this time without shouting, but my temper sure was running thin.

"I have heard but never seen someone use their telepathic powers to float in mid air you truly do have the strongest powers ever especially for your age." She said staring at me amassed.

"I AM NOT A SCIENCE EXPERIMENT" I shouted, I was so angry at her for making me feel that way again, but it wasn't her fault that I was very sensitive about how people reacted to me it was the scientists fault and I should get angry at them destroy the military and Shadowing Death.

"I am so sorry Krystal." I said but I couldn't look her in the eye.

"It's ok, as long you keep your mind fixed to defeated the shadow keeper and the military you should calm down. And be back to normal soon." She smiled at me

"If there is any chance for normal for me." I whispered under my breath but Krystal expression changed and felt her in my mind, and she walked out the door.

Snowdrop walked over to me "what did you say to her? . . . In your mind at least." She said with a very concerned look on her face, I didn't like seeing them like this but what can I do about it.

"I just said, if their was any chance of normal for me and she was in my mind at the time."

"Why would you do that to her?!" Yelled Snowdrop.

"I didn't know that she was in my mind, it is usually after I have said what I say that I realise she is in my mind." I yelled back.

"But you should-"

"Girls stop it, we are all friends here." Krystal said and then she looked at me, and I felt her in my mind and heard her talking.

'Come with me, I would like you to tell me something.'

"Ok." I said out loud.

"Ok to what?" Asked Snowdrop, and Krystal looked at her.

"Snowdrop could you stay here, I need to talk to Emerald." Said Krystal although it wasn't in an angry tone so I didn't think I was in trouble.

"Yes of course." Said Snowdrop she almost looked scared, Krystal turned to me again.

'Follow me.'She walked into my old room that hadn't changed from how I had left it, I wondered around then she asked me. "Was this your room?" She looked at me and for once didn't look into my mind to get the answer.

"Yes." I said more as a question, as I was unsure why she wanted to know.

"So you could tell me what this is." She said well pointing to some words carved into the wall beside my bed, I looked at it and a flood of memories came back. My parents walking out, being injected, living in the woods for the past three months. I started to feel dizzy again and slowly came towards the ground, I was on my hands and knees and trying to steady my breathing as I looked at the ground.

"Emerald are you okay." I heard Krystal say I looked back up at the wall.

"Mum, dad, why?" I fell back onto the ground and the world was going black.

"Emerald, Emerald stay with me." I could feel a voice say, but soon it faded to nothing just like my vision.

I woke up again in the lounge room I jumped up but they weren't any where to be seen. "That whole thing must have been a dream." I got up and walked to my room and beside my bed, I saw the caving and read it aloud. "'Don't forget what they did to you' I'll never forget what you did to me mother and father never, and soon I'll have my revenge, find out why. Why did you leave me? Were you scared of my potential too?" I said but stayed strong.

"So that's what that is, too remind you to never trust anyone but yourself." Said Krystal.

"I had a feeling it had to be real, after all my years alone I never once dreamed I had a proper purpose." I said then added. "And yes that is what it is, to remind me to never trust them or anyone else, but where has that gotten me maybe I should try to trust you guys and other mutants, but only if you answer all of my questions." I said.

"I think we can manage that hey Snowdrop." Said Krystal.

"I could try and help." Said Snowdrop smiling, although I new I could already trust her, after all she has save me once.

"Thank you, thank you for believing in me." I said.
