I was kneeling on my hands and knees, looking towards the ground. "Shut up!" I screamed finally looking up, it was only then that they realised something was wrong.

"Emerald, are you ok?" Krystal asked me with great concern. I tried to breathe, but it wasn't working.

"Krystal, uhh go into the kitchen and you should . . . See some tablets on the table." I said as calmly as I could, but I couldn't speak properly so I had to stop a few times to catch my breath.

She ran into the kitchen and sifted through the things on the table before coming to some extremely small tablets, small enough to make you think they wouldn't do any good, she ran over to me and popped one out of its plastic container, before placing it in my hand. I sat up and put the tablet in my mouth, I moved my hand in a swift upward movement and placed some water into my mouth. It took a few minutes before the tablets took effect so I was sitting there for a little while, feeling the sweat running down my face, as well as the panic running though me.

Suddenly something crashed onto the ground, I looked over to see Lachlan running over to me. "Not again, I thought I told you to not get stressed out!" He said with panic in his eyes.

"Well if you can't remember clearly, I never did like listening to you." I laughed trying to loosen the mood, but all eyes were on me in concern wondering what was going on.

It wasn't long after that my breathing returned to normal and I was able to lift myself up onto a chair, it was then that Snowdrop gained the courage to say what everyone else wanted to. "Um, Emerald, what just happened?"

I looked towards my husband, "it's about time they knew." I said to him before turning back to the others, "I was going to tell you today along with a few other things, but ever since that night, I have been experiencing severe panic attacks, I haven't had one in a few months now but I guess that I couldn't handle all the arguing." I smiled at them, but I saw them look towards the ground thinking that they were the reason.

"It's not your fault, It was bound to happen sooner or later, but it was just a coincidence that it happened when you guys were here." I smiled at them all, they looked at me but didn't smile back.

"Anyway, we have some good news as well, and I wouldn't be surprised if that had anything to do with what just happened then as well." Smiled Lachlan, he couldn't wait to tell them what was going on in the Everglades house at the moment, but he looked towards me and with his eyes told me to tell them.

Everyone was watching his eyes so by the time I had looked up they were all looking at me waiting for what I would say. "Well you see, I was experiencing some pain so I went to the doctor."

"Just get on with it." Said Krystal, and I could tell by not only the look on her face but because I had felt her enter my mind that she already knew what I was going to say, I glared at her but still with a smile on my face. "Well anyway, I'm pregnant."

They all stared at me shocked for a while, unsure what to do, but it was Snowdrop that acted first again. "Oh my goodness, I'm so happy for you." She said running over to me and touching my stomach.

"Careful Snowdrop, cold hands." I smiled jumping a bit from the sudden temperature change.

"Right sorry," she said still smiling.

Next it was James to react. "I'm gonna have a grandchild." He laughed picking me up off the chair.

"Put her down!" Screamed Lachlan, "she's still a little shaken up from before.

"Oh right, sorry." He smiled at me before looking towards Lachlan. "I always knew she was a keeper, and you can be sure she's good around children." He smiled, but he he could feel my questioning look in the back of his head, and by the time he turned back round to me I was daring him to tell Lachlan what he had said earlier. But instead he walked over a whispered into my ear, "let just forget what I said earlier, I over reacted." He smiled at me.

"Forgotten out of the mind, for now." "Forgotten out of the mind, for now." I smiled back at him but he had an almost

questioning look wondering exactly what I meant, "well I now have something in the old noggin to use against you." I smiled at him, and he gave me an absolutely terrified look. "I'm kidding." I said and I couldn't help laugh.

I turned back to everyone as they were giving there congratulations to Lachlan, "but with every good comes a bad." I said to them all, and what was the first thing someone asked?

"Oh dear are there complications with the pregnancy?" I turned to see Snowdrop asking, I looked at her and simply shook my head.

"I wouldn't have called you all here just to tell you that, you see I had a dream the other night."

"Oh dear." Said Krystal, but I knew she didn't know what I was going to say because she hadn't gone into my mind, but she could tell I meant I had experienced another case of déjà vu. I looked towards them all sadly, all there concerned faces, they all knew that I could be telling something extremely bad, I just hope that they are prepared for what's coming.

"(Sigh) Shadowing Death, is coming back." They all stared at me in disbelief, I knew that this would happen, but I was still nervous that they wouldn't help me. "Please, I can't fight him by myself, I mean you remember what happened last time, I need you all, please will you help?" There all stared at me, and I was expecting them to all say no, that they were sick of him and it wasn't their responsibility.

"Of course well help, it's our duty to protect both humans and mutants, and frankly he's the only threat that is towards them both." Snowdrop smiled at me even though she was only in her thirties she was very wise and knew just what to sat, then again she always knew just what to say.

"Yes," said Krystal "we will always help" she turned around to everyone else and saw almost all of them nod in approval, I suddenly saw that James hadn't.

"James, why not?" I asked him, not quite sure why he wouldn't want to help. But I didn't get a response.

"James you are going to tell us why you don't want us to defeat Shadowing Death when it is our responsibility." Krystal said to him, without yelling, but with venom dripping from her voice as she spoke, I noticed everyone take a step back so that they were all around me, well everyone but James that is. He was taking a few steps back and kept walking until Krystal had lead him against a wall so that he could not escape. I watched as she crept closer to him and I could see the power radiating off her from the anger, I knew she wasn't going to be able to stop herself and she was acting like I was a kid again so even though I didn't like doing it anymore I entered his mind to see why he didn't want to fight with us. As I entered all time went still I could see everyone's movements slacken before finally coming to a halt, I walked over to James but before I could touch his head I stopped and took a breath, this was always how I had to enter someone's mind, but ever since the accident I hadn't wanted to do it by force ever again unless truly needed, and right now it was the only way that I could help. I finally let my breath out before touching his head and pushing away all memories of what had happened in the past, I saw all of his thoughts flood into my mind, I tried not to pay attention until I finally got to the one that was felt as I asked for them all to help.

"(Gasp)" everyone looked at me as I lost concentration and still had my hand on James's head, I turned to see EVERYONES eyes on me, and I mean everyone's even the kids, as they walked thought the door.

"Emerald you, you, I thought you were never going to do that again unless necessary." They all looked at me waiting for an answer.

"Kids could you go back outside for a little longer, there should be a ball on the table out there, you could throw, or kick it around, well come out and get you when were ready for you." I smiled at them all, they ran out the door laughing, but Scarlet looked back in and stared at me, I noticed her onyx eyes for the first time. If I hadn't known better and knew I could feel when someone was entering my mind, I would think she had the telepathic powers and was looking straight into my soul, seeing every secret, no matter how warm and bright or dark and frozen they were, even the ones I refused to remember. But then she ran back out laughing as if I was the only one feeling like that, and she hadn't seen a thing.

"Earth to Emerald, earth to Emerald." Dax was screaming at me as I looked out the window in a daze. "Well what was the little girl imagining this time? Fairies and princesses? Or was it about why she went into James's mind when she said she would never do that again unnecessarily? Well princess spill the beans." He said at me trying to pull an in control face on me.

"Well I wanted to know why James was against the idea, and I knew that he wouldn't tell it, and I could see that Krystal was going to kill him if he didn't."

That got them all looking at Krystal, "what, I wasn't actually going to kill him." She said but didn't realise she had pointed towards him, and had him tied up is a bundle of vines. We all had to chuckle a little.

"Hey I can get out if I want to," he said while trying to break them with his metal, but it wasn't working in his favour, I walks over before forming a knife and cutting all the vines away. "Hey what if you had have cut me you dimwit." I stared at him.

"Well now you have two options, you can one tell everyone what I already know, or two let me tell them all. Which one will it be?"
