"What are you doing here Ruth?" Scarlet asked again, Ruth pushed passed me and grabbed Scarlet by the arm, and yanked it up.

"I am your mother, you cannot address me as Ruth." She threw her arm down, and scarlet clutched it close to her chest, but Ruth didn't even notice.

"I need you to stop that." I said trying to but in before scarlet was severally hurt.

"Don't you talk like that to me." I stepped backwards as Ruth came right into my face. "I have seen way you have been doing, first I saw her using her powers as well as other kids, but I thought that's fine as long as she doesn't do it at home. Then I followed you inside and heard that you were telling them a story, butt teaching them that it's ok to harm people well using your powers, it's ok to just burst and abuse people."

"Look I am sorry that you don't like this but I will have to ask you to leave and come back later to talk with me because you are not being a very good figure for my children to watch, and I am sure that there parents would not enjoy them seeing this kind of argument." I said to her calmly as I noticed most of the children peeking around the corner to see what the commotion was about.

"Fine then, Scarlet come, now." She said yanking scarlet by the arm again, I cringed getting ready to see an arm be pulled off. Even though I knew that would never happen

"No, I am not going with you." She started at her for a little while, almost as if they were having a mental war.

"What are you talking about, you are coming with me."

"No I am sick of being lashed around by you, here I am treated like I am normal, not like I am a monster that you need to hide."

"But you are not normal, you are a monster, and that is why I need to hide you."

"Well then I don't want to live with you anymore." I could feel all of the children's eyes prying on our backs, as they tried to figure out what was going on.

"Ok children time to go outside and play till your parents get here."I said that loudly that I made everyone in the room jump, however all the kids but Scarlet followed me out. I wanted to help her, but this was her chance to stand up for herself, find out who she was, and what she is meant to do, I cannot interfere with something like that. And I should know I only got one chance at that as well.

I turned back around to see Ruth trying to pull Scarlet out the door, I was about to turn around but then I saw Scarlet pulling away so I didn't take another step closer. I knew that it wasn't the right thing but I listened in, I pulled my hair off my ears so that I could hear the conversation, but I had missed most of it.

"Look it is not up for debate, you are coming with me wether you like it or not."

"Well I am saying it's not up for debate and that I am not going home with you, and you can't deny that because I am stronger than I was when I was a kid, and if you actually watched us which I am pretty sure is illegal you will now know that." Scarlet stared at her breathing heavily, waiting for a response but it was silent for a long time.

"Well don't expect the doors to be open wide for you when you get home." Ruth walked out the door and slammed it behind her, scarlet turned to me, and I know what she was thinking.

"Yes you can come stay with me whenever you want, but I must warn you my household can be chaos." I smiled at her.

"Thank you so much, but I am sure that it won't be so bad."

"You'll regret saying that, especially with the guests I have tonight."
