"Ok everyone calm down now." I said as the children were still talking after what happened outside, most were talking to Scarlet about how strong her powers were. As for her well she wasn't quite sure how to react to the good attention still she was starting to creep back.

"Everyone turn here now or I'll cast a spell to stop you all from talking." When I said that they all stopped and turned to me.

"Now then where was I oh yes."

I sat there maybe going to my room and trying to use earth was a good idea, but I'll let them know I am leaving.

"Fine Krystal you win it's boring sitting here, I'm going up to my room, but can you give me a couple more tips on how to control earth?"

"If you have to just breathe for a while eventually it will come to you, trust me it will just happen and then you can learn how exactly to control it, like how you learnt metal." I thought back to the day I learnt how to control metal, I had just thought really hard that I had some sought of power to push the scientists away and then all of a sudden it came to me, and then I had to teach myself how to use it properly.

"Ok I'll try, but if it doesn't work in 15 minuses I'll come down and annoy you some more."

"Fine you try that then well seal I your mouth with vines and ice." Neither of us replied further than that because I started to head up to my room.

When I finally got there. I wasn't exactly sure how to get control of earth , I had no real motivation like that day. I mean yeh an evil maniac was trying to take over the world but no one was threatening anyone to make me need to use them.

Then I remembered the ball of air maybe I could use it to talk to Lachlan and he could help me. I picked it up and stared at it wondering if it would do something . . . Then it hit me, not the ball of air but how to control it. I opened my hand flat and the ball turned into a phone,

How i don't know but instead of having numbers it had letters, I typed in LACHLAN and then put it I to my ear.

"Hey Emerald I see you figured out how to use it so you must have something important to talk to me about." I heard Lachlan say at the other end of the phone line.

"Lachlan, I just wanted to ask for some help, the other two are down stairs doing something and they have locked me upstairs and Krystal has told me to learn how to control earth but I am a little confused." Replied to him.

"Well how did you learn with metal." He asked me.

"Well i wanted to protect myself from the military's scientist or mutants what ever they were and so I just imagined I had some sought of power that could push them away and i could suddenly use metal, but not me or any of the others or you are in any trouble, so."

"So you don't know how to get the powers." He butted in.

"Yeh that sums it up." I said.

"Well I learnt from just pure will, I knew my father was the controller of metal and so I thought that I could control an element as well and consecrated thinking that I could even though in reality I knew that I might not, and it happened so try that and if it doesn't work try talking to Snowdrop and how she learnt." He said.

"Ok then thanks Lachlan." I said to him.

"No problem, see ya another time Eme." He had figure out in our time together before he left that I didn't like being called Eme and was doing that to purposely annoy me.

"Yeh see ya Locke." I replied to annoy him back. But didn't hear a smart remark back so I put down the air phone down, when I did it turned back into a ball.

I took a deep breath and did what Lachlan said, just thought out of pure will that I could control earth.

"I can control earth, I can control earth." I said to myself over and over again. I so hoped that something would happen, but of course I had absolutely no luck.

'I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that I still have doubt that I am the elementor and not just an average person, this is a dream it has to be it can't be possible, then again all of this has to be possible. If it isn't real then I am nothing a nobody if it is then I am a somebody a very important somebody in fact.'

"It has to be real, it has to be real, or I'm not real." Suddenly I felt some sought of power surge through me but not the same as when I use metal, that is a cold surge through my body this, this is a hot surge but then followed by a pulse of cold. It was all pulsing through my body from my centre all the way down my legs warming them, yet at the same time freezing them. Then all the way through my arms and warming all the way to my finger tips, then freezing them as well. Suddenly a swirl came through my head and when I opened my eyes I was surrounded by plants, but this time as if it was a forest. It wasn't bundles of weeds but trees and grass, even flowers surrounding me.

"Krystal I did it." I ran down the stairs as I screamed out to her.

"I did it, I did it, i did it."

"What is it this time?" Asked Krystal frustrated.

"I did it, I can control earth." I screamed to her.

"What?" She cried. "H . . . How, how did you do it?" She asked me, but before I could answer she came I with a resolution, really anything that would mean that I didn't learn earth in that small amount of time.

"Ha, your smart Emerald you almost got me there, but just because you want to see what we are doing doesn't mean that you have to lie." She laughed.

"And what makes you think I am lying to you?" I asked her.

"Well you have been in that room for 5 minutes certainly not enough time to learn earth, it should take at the least a couple of weeks to grasp the knowledge of the power." She said thinking that she knew everything.

"Well how long did it take you to learn?" I asked her.

"Well after I experienced the first shot of power, like you did earlier and then after that it took me another year to control it, so tell me what makes you think that you can learn to control it in 5 minutes."

"Well I don't think that I have fully learnt how to control it but if I concentrate I can do it." I smiled at her.

"Ok then, show me."

I closed my eyes and breathed carefully.

'I can control earth, I can control earth.' I thought to myself. I felt the power surge through me again starting at my legs going all the way down to my toes them through my arms to the tips of my fingers until when I opened my eyes I was surrounded by a forest again much like the original one, except that it went down the stairs not on flat ground.

"What, how did you so that." She asked stunned.

"I just concentrated and all of a sudden I could do it, but as I said before I can't do it without concentrating hard so I still have to learn from you."

"But that's impossible to be able to do that so soon, who helped you?." She asked, I could swear she was angry.

"No one."

"Who helped you?" She asked again, but I didn't answer.

"Don't make me find out myself."

"Krystal calm down." Snowdrop butted in.

"Stay out of this Snowdrop this is non of your business." Krystal said.

"No, it became my business when you threatened to go into Emeralds mind, that is absolutely rude, inexcusable, unacceptable, you shouldn't threaten to do that." Snowdrop screamed.

"You don't know why I am saying this, and you do realise that Emerald probably didn't understand half of those words you said."

"Hey just because I haven't grown up with an education, which mind you is not my fault but yours for leaving me with shadowing deaths goons doesn't mean that you can accuse me for being stupid. And besides Snowdrop has every right to be included in this she is just like you and me." I screamed at her.

"I didn't know that they were working for him, and she is nothing like you."

"So you trusted them enough with me, you should have been able to tell that they weren't who they said they were, or were you too scared to go into their minds like your threatening to do to me, were you too close to them that you couldn't do it, you were too weak but no all of a sudden you are strong enough that you can threaten a child who is might I add stronger than you."

"You don't know what I have been through."

"And you don't know what I have been through, all those sleepless nights hoping,praying that someone would come and save me, my parents, anyone that could help. Praying to a god that I didn't even know if he existed or not, but if he was he was my last bit of hope left to send me a saviour, did anyone come? No of course not everyone that knew I existed that was still alive which the only person is you was too involve in her own life which 'I don't understand'. Well honey if you can match up to what I have been through I will gladly listen to every word you have to say, and follow every command cause that means that finally I have found someone else that has been to hell and back just like me." No one commented back after that not even Krystal.

"Well I have been to hell and back, we all have some further in than others, but then again not everyone comes back from it and from the expression on your face you are still stuck pretty deep in because of the demons pulling you back trying to get you to stay." She said half under her breath but loud enough so that we could all hear.

"I'm going to go for a walk, you and Snowdrop should talk." She walked out the door before we could answer her back.
