"Emerald." I heard a voice echo. "Emerald." I looked towards where the voice was coming from, it was too dark to see the face clearly, no no it can't be there are shadows.

"No, no not you your dead, done for, killed I saw it get away, get away." I ran tried to get away but where ever I ran, the shadows would appear. I Couldn't escape but I couldn't stop and let him catch me I continued to run but I was just running in circles.

"No no you can't get me, your not real, your dead."

"Yes I am, yet somehow I am still here, I am back, you have brought me back to life you have brought me back HA HA HA HA HA. But you won't win all the mutants will fall to my command and all humans will perish."

"No, no your not there, your not real, just go away, just go awaaaayyy." I screamed. All the shadows disappeared, I stood there breathing heavily and he was gone.

"He's gone, he's not here, I knew it was just a dream." But I had spoken too soon. Suddenly the shadows around me slowly creeped up, they crawled up my legs and pulled me down to the ground I hit them but they always came back they got to my waist, and pulled me to my knees.

"That's it bow down to me." He spoke and it kept ringing in my head.

"Bow down to me, bow down to me, bow down to me."

"Noooooooo, I won't be tormented by you any longer, get awaaaayyy." I threw fire all around me so that the room was lit up and he couldn't control his shadows, but some how they kept coming.

"Ha you still think that old trick will work on me, I can see that you have become stronger, so you think that you could beat me again, but guess what my time in exile was used to my advantage. It was complete light so I couldn't use my shadows, but I learnt how to use the small shadows around me and extend them, so even in light I can still kill you."

All I could do was swing my fists at anything that came near me, I kept pushing away something that wasn't there but then something was.

"Wake up, Emerald wake up." I jumped up and sat on the edge of the bed.

"calm down Emerald, it was just a dream." I started to cry from fear so I collapsed into Lachlan's lap.

"No, no it's not, he's coming back." I looked up at him.

"The shadow keeper is coming back." I sat their looking at his face as I saw his pupils dilate in fear.
