Raiden was now getting out of the car as soon as they pulled up to a brown cottage restaurant with an umbrella over the tables.

"This is a nice-looking restaurant," He said, looking at the restaurant.

"It is. Here you go," Raven said, handing Raiden some money."Text me when you are done with your date," She smiled

"Mom, enough already; it is not a date," He said, taking the money and putting it in his jacket pocket and zipping it up.

"Alright, I'm done messing with you, prince. Go have a good time with your new friend," Raven said

"I will see you later, and I'll get you something to go as well," He said.

"You don't have to. I plan to grab something while waiting for you, but you know, maybe something for tomorrow would be good," Raven said.

"Alright," Raiden said with a nod as he shut the car door and walked toward the restaurant entrance.

Raven watched Raiden walk on inside, and she then drove on off. The moment he was inside the restaurant.

Raiden entered the restaurant to see Jasmine standing against the wall, wearing a dark pink dress with light purple leggings.

"Woah!" Raiden exclaimed with wide eyes at the sight of her outfit."That dress is beautiful, Jasmine," He said, walking over toward her.

"Ah, Raiden was about to text you, and thanks brought it up last weekend," Jasmine smiled softly.

"Well, you did an excellent job picking it out," Raiden complimented with a smile.

"You are so kind; your mom must have taught you good manners," Jasmine said.

"She taught me more than that," He replied.

"Table for two for Jasmine Florence," A young man with short spiky brown man said from behind the counter, holding two menus.

"That is us," Jasmine said, following the young man and Raiden.

They then arrived at a two-person booth that had a picture of a beach on the wall next to them.

"My name is Richard, and I will be your server," The man said, placing the menus on the table.

"Thank you," Jasmine said, sitting down across from Raiden.

"I can start you off with drinks," Richard said.

"I'm going to go with the Root beer," Richard said, looking at the drinks.

"I want the Raspberry tea," Jasmine said.

"Alright, I will be back with you and too. Take your food order," Richard said, walking off.

"So Jasmine, why did you invite me for lunch?" Raiden asked.

"I wanted to get to know you," Jasmine said."What was your home like?" She asked.

"Well, Bayville was a nice place minus all the drama with mutant hate," Richard said.

"Yeah, it was constantly on the news a few years back," Jasmine said."Still, see, talk about it. The world still seems to be afraid of them, but not much in Middleton. We haven't seen any mutants around here."

"Yeah, the hatred is bad and unfair," Raiden said, looking down.

"Is something the matter?" Jasmine asked.

"Oh no, just thinking about what to order," Raiden said, shaking the thoughts of the mutant hate from his head.

"I totally understand this place. Many good options to get," Jasmine said.

"You come here often?" He asked.

"Well, my family loved coming here often for special occasions like Birthdays or Mother's Day or Father's Day," She said."It just sort of became our go-to place."

"I see."

"Alright, here are your drinks," Richard said as he returned with their drink orders."So do you know what you want to order?"

"Yes, I want the Sake Sashimi and Tuna Roll," Jasmine said.

Richard nodded and wrote that down. "And what about you?"

"I will have California roll and Salmon roll," Raiden replied.

"Got it," Richard said, walking off to get their order made.

"So Richard, do you have any siblings?" Jasmine asked.

"I do actually have three siblings," Raiden said." I have an adopted sister in college, a half-brother in his last year of high school at Bayville High, and another older half-brother I don't know much about."

"I see, so your mom has been in multiple relationships."

"Yeah, she hasn't had the best love life," he sighed."My father seemed to make her happy until he got sick and passed away, but he left her nice things in his will."

"So it's just you and your mom?"

"Yeah, but the two of us are happy, and she is beautiful and will find someone who will make her happy again."

"Yeah, im sure she will. She seems pretty cool, and she is beautiful with her blonde hair," Jasmine said with a smile.

Raiden chuckled."Oh yes, she is."

"You care about her a lot, don't you?"

"My mom has always been there for me whenever I needed her."

"That's very nice."

After a bit more talking amongst themselves, Richard came back with their orders and soy sauce as well.

Raiden and Jasmine then began eating their lunch in soothing silence

Raiden and Jasmine had finished up their lunch, and both let out sighs of satisfaction at the food.

"Delicious," Jasmine said.

"Yeah, I see why you come here," Raiden said, texting his mom.

"Would you like any dessert?" Richard asked.

"I take a cheesecake to go, please," Jasmine said.

"I'm good but would like a Taka Sashimi to go," Raiden said, ordering something for his mom."I also take the check," He said.

"You don't have to pay for me," Jasmine said.

"I don't mind. My mom gave me plenty of money," Raiden said.

"Alright, I will be with the check and your orders to go,  Richard said, walking off.

" I take it the order for your mom."

"Yeah."

"Sweet of you to get her something," Jasmine smiled."As well as to pay for me."

"I guess so, and it is the least I can do for you inviting you to have lunch with you," Raiden smiled back.

Once they received the check and two brown boxes, one small and one larger. Raiden took out the money and paid for the lunch before grabbing the bigger box and standing up.

The duo then started walking toward the restaurant exit when Raiden noticed a kid knock over a hot cup of tea by accident. He immediately pulled Jasmine away, stopping the tea from spilling on her legs.

"Woah," She said as he quickly pulled her away.

"You alright?" He asked.

"Yeah, thanks. That would have burned," Jasmine said, blushing slightly at how close she was to  Raiden's body.

"Your welcome," He said, letting her go.

Jasmine just swallowed nervously as Raiden continued towards the exit. She didn't know what was going on, but suddenly, her mouth was parched.
