After that Night

"Thanks for keeping me company, Sean," the white-haired head girl, Daisy, said, appreciating the senior boy of the music club, Sean Everett.  "No sweat. I had a lot of fun tonight," Sean answered. With a giggle, Daisy commented, "I better get back home, before my parents hire a search party for me."  Sean agreed with her. " Heh, good idea. Hey, I hope you don't make it a habit to cry on the park benches at this time. It's dangerous, y'know," looking out for Daisy's safety.

" Well, both my moms made me take self-defense classes, so I'm not completely defenseless," Daisy exclaimed, placing her hands on her hips. Raising his hands up in fortification, Sean responded with "Damn girl, alright! I won't underestimate you. But if you ever need backup, me and Mr. Broom will have your back," causing Daisy to giggle a bit.

" Well, you should get home then. Ah, but before you go, I was wondering, would you like my number?" Sean asked rubbing the back of his head with a smile. An inadequate moment of stillness passed by until Daisy let out a blunt "Huh?" Sean began to blush, attempting to figure out what he just requested. Hiding his face so she did not witness his pink cheeks, he sputtered out "I-I mean, just if you ever need someone to talk to... You can always call or text me. I'm here to listen."

Another moment of stillness came as both of them gazed at each other. Embarrassed and considering he forced her, Sean commented "O-or you don't have to-." He was interrupted by the giggles emerging from Daisy, who then replied with "Aww, thank you, Sean! Of course, let's do it!" "Alright, cool!" Sean answered, relieved that he didn't just humiliate himself in front of her. Daisy steps over with her cell phone as Sean pulls out his from his pocket, both glancing at the other person's phone, to type down each other's number.  "Oh, and Sean?" Daisy asked, stepping away. "Yeah?" Sean said, looking up confused. Not needing anyone to know that she was there she notified him "Please don't tell anyone you saw me tonight."

Sean glimpses at her for a second, " Alright, I won't." Giving him a breathtaking smile she responded with " Thanks. I'll see you in school then!" As she walks away, Sean replies " See you, Daisy." He then puts his phone in his jacket pocket, sighing "What a day..." He then strolls to his house.

At school, the music club regarded that Sean appeared to be a bit absent-minded with his phone, he was frequently either smiling, reddening, or giggling at something that was on it. Each member attempted to see what was on his phone, but all have failed. They believed they had lost all hope in finding out his secret.

"Sean, you ok dude, you seem a little...sidetracked recently," Milly, the sophomore, pink-haired guitarist, his best friend, questioned him in consideration. "Hm, oh, I'm fine Milly, thanks for wondering," Sean responded with a smile.

His phone then went off and he began to respond to it. "Who are you texting?" Milly questioned. He looked startled and anxious. "N-Nobody specific Milly," he said with a stutter and a blush. Milly saw the boy blush and immediately snickered, really hankering to know who her best friend was chatting to. "If it isn't somebody special, you would let me see who it is, now let me see the phone!" Milly said reaching for his phone. Sean kept it out of her reach,  he did not want her to seize his phone. "If you quit doing that I will show you," he said, making Milly stop and put her hand back.

"So you gonna show me?" Milly asked in anticipation.

"I will Milly, just hold your horses, I want to finish sending her this text message," Sean answered.

Milly looked at him in shock when he said her. Milly's mind then bombarded with thoughts of who was the girl he was talking to.

After finishing his reply, he snapped Milly out of her trance and showed her that he was texting Daisy.

"Daisy?! Do you mean that white-haired girl that shows up every once in a while to encourage the club Daisy? Head Girl Daisy?! She is the girl you are chitchatting to?" Milly asked in excitement and shock.

Sean nodded with a bashful smile that heeded a blush. Suddenly, Milly started giggling and laughing like a child in a candy store. She started teasing him about having feelings for her as she watched his face turn red like a strawberry. He was so flustered.

"What if she doesn't feel the same, we know Jake likes her, she may like him..." Sean said, defeated and downhearted. Milly glimpsed at Sean and booped him in reassurance. "Don't say that, she may feel the same way, you do not know," she told him. This made Sean have a miniature smile on his face.

Milly was right.

Daisy was in the library when she got the response from Sean. She smiled and giggled, blushing just a bit. "Who was that Daisy and why are you blushing?" asked Stacy. "I'm not sure what you mean," Daisy said confused. "Daisy, your blushing at a text that someone sent you, who sent it?" Stacy asked, trying to see if that made any sense to Daisy. Daisy then turns raspberry red, trying to convey that it was nobody important.

This made Stacy captivated. "Is it your boyfriend Daisy? Your crush?" Stacy asked. Daisy's raspberry-colored face transformed into a red apple one after she said crush. She nodded and slid her phone over to Stacy so she could see who she was messaging.

Stacy looked at Daisy's phone and her eyes widened in shock. "Sean Everett?! The senior? The guy who makes the beats for the music club? Him?! He's your crush?!" Stacy asked. Daisy only replied with a shy nod looking away blushing.

Her arm was grabbed by Stacy as she dragged her outside so that she could direct her without getting too loud in the library. Once outside, Stacy grabbed her arms still so Daisy could not move. "Daisy, you have to ask him out! Or at least tell him that you like him," she told her.

Daisy then began to shake, confessing to him? Telling him that she likes him? There was no way she could do that! He would probably think that she was a weirdo, or he may not have the same feelings as she did. She told about this to Stacy, who sighed and grabbed her hands and made Daisy look at her. "All you can do is try Daisy, I tried confessing to Luke, he didn't share the same emotions I did, but I am fine with it. Jake confessed to you, and you told him you did not feel the same as he did, he was fine with it as well. I know you are anxious about it, but all you can do is try right?" Stacy stated and asked. Not making eye contact with her, Daisy nodded.

Stacy was right. All she could do was try.

A couple of days had passed since then, and Milly informed the club about Sean. Jake smirked as if he already knew that Sean loved Daisy. But it was the complete opposite, he knew that Daisy liked Sean.

Daisy replied to him that she did not feel the same way he did when he confessed how he felt. This suited Jake and he asked her if she liked anyone in particular. She told him not to tell the person that she liked, which he promised. Looking down, she said that recently, she recently had been gaining feelings for Sean.

Basically, all the music club needed to do was get them together, but they did not want to force it on them. They felt hopeless because they did not know how to do it. Stacy was in the same boat as them, how in the world would she be able to get Daisy to confess?

Separately, they opted to allow the relationship to develop as it should.

Sean was sweeping the music room after school like he naturally did and heard a knock at the door. Turning around, he saw Daisy.

It reminded him of how they first met. She came in knocking, asking him "Um, hello? This is the music room, right?" Sean stared at her in astonishment, thinking 'Woah, she's really cute...' Getting timid, he replied with, "Uh...yep, that would be this room."  Getting embarrassed, Daisy said, " Right, silly me...I just thought rehearsals for the band competition would be going on right now."  With a peaceful smile, he replied, "Oh, well they would be, but we usually have practice at lunchtimes now."

Somewhat upset walking inside, Daisy replied "Oh...I see. Sooo... What do you play?" Perplexed, Sean asked, "Uh... you mean in the band?" Getting all super happy, Daisy answered his question with "Yes! I'm very interested in your band, and super excited for the competition! I bet it'll be amazing-" She suddenly stopped, blushing. "Oh, s-sorry, I got a little too excited there," she said, super embarrassed. Sean really did not mind her enthusiasm, giving her a smile saying, "That's okay, I'm glad to see other people excited for us! To be honest, I don't really play any particular instrument in the club. I usually produce the music, find beats, that sort of thing." Daisy's embarrassed face turned to one of amazement blurting out, "Oh, that sounds fun!" A little embarrassed and weirded out what he does he replies with "Yep! It's pretty fun! Haha..."

Between them, there was a moment of awkward silence. "Can I...help you with anything else?" Sean asks her. Daisy, collecting her composure answered his question with " Oh, no! Well, I was wondering, why you're cleaning by yourself. I don't mean to sound rude, but isn't that the janitor's job?" Sean knew it was the janitor's job, so he replied with "Um...I guess it is. But I like to do it by myself. Cleaning is sort of a hobby of mine." Sort of interested and feeling bad that he was alone doing this, she asked "I see. But...Isn't it lonely staying behind after school to clean a classroom?" Sean appreciated her concern but informed her "You don't need to worry about me, I want to stay behind! And besides, Mr. Broom and I have plenty of great conversations together. He's great company!" He chuckled nervously.

Daisy then came up with an excellent idea. "Hey, how about I keep you company!" she insisted with a cute smile following. Sean felt like she was forcing herself to be there with her, he tried saying "Oh, there's no need t-" He was interrupted by Daisy saying "That's okay! I love cleaning too! Plus, it's much more fun when you have company, right?" Was she being cutesy with him on purpose?

"Well, alright then! Thank you uh...Sorry, what's your name?" Sean thanked her, still confused about what her name was. They just had a full-on conversation without introducing themselves to one another. "I'm Daisy! It's a pleasure to meet you!" she told him, beaming her white smile. "Oh, you too! I'm Sean!" he replied, feeling more calm, cool, and collected now. Shocked, Daisy replied "Oh I see, so you're Sean! Jake has told me a bit about you. You're in the year above, right?" Jake has told her about him?! "Yeah, I'm sort of the big brother of the group," he said smiling. "That's so sweet! I bet they look up to you," Daisy said. Little shocked and embarrassed, Sean replied "Well, not to toot my own horn, but I guess they do. Hey, wanna listen to a new track I've been working on while we clean?" Daisy smiled and answered with "I would love to!"

That was when they first met. This was now, they knew each other. The one thing that they did not know about each other were the feelings that they had for one another. "Hey, Daisy. Was there something you needed?" he asked. "Oh, yeah, actually, I was wondering if you wanted to take a walk later with me tonight," she told him with the smile that he fell in love with. Blushing like a mad man, he replied with "S-sure, what time do you want to meet up?" Daisy thought for a moment, then looked at Sean. "How about around 6:30 at my place, I will text you my address," Daisy started smiling. With a slight blush, Sean nodded and gave her a thumbs up. "Great, I will see you then!" she said, walking away with a blush.

It was 6:30 when Daisy heard a knock on the door of her house. Before she was able to answer the door, one of her moms answered it. "Hello young man, who are you?" her mother asked. Sean froze. He hadn't believed he would meet her mother. "H-Hello miss, my name is Sean Everett, I-I am a friend of Daisy's, it is a pleasure to meet you," he said, slightly shaking and sweating. "Oh, you are Sean, Daisy told us about you, pleasure to meet you too young man," her mother said.

"Oh Sean, there you are!" Daisy said walking to the door. Her mother looked at both of them and nodded, leaving them alone. "Ready to g-" Daisy began to say before Sean put something on her head.  She looked up and saw he had put a flower crown on her head. She noticed it had lilac roses, pink daisies, and sunflowers. Looking away blushing, Sean stated that Hailey and Milly helped him make it. Giggling, she kissed Sean on the cheek, thanking him.

During their walk, they talked about life, school, and their families. They were actually enjoying themselves. He then zoned out, admiring her beauty, how her long white hair swayed in the wind and how her baby blue eyes glowed like diamonds against the night sky. He was so zoned out, he did not realize he almost ran into a pole, luckily he did not.  Nevertheless, he feels like such an idiot. As he looked at the girl he liked, his face went bright red; he was so embarrassed! He did that, in front of her! Luckily, she didn't see it in the same way he did. A big grin spread across her face as she described the clumsy situation as cute. This made Sean smile and relax, crisis averted.

Since they were walking for so long, they bought some food along the way. Sean, of course, paid for that. Later, they continued to talk and eat while sitting on a bench. This bench was significant to them though. This was the bench that Sean found Daisy crying at that one night. He looked at her again, listening to her cute giggle. He then realized that it was now or never. After gently taking her hand, Daisy's attention was immediately drawn to him. Confused, she was about to ask him what was going on until he started to speak. He couldn't stop expressing his feelings for her, his emotions and feelings were spilling out.

"No one in this world understands the feeling that I get when I see you. They have no idea what I feel when I hear your name or your delicate voice. Nobody has ever made me feel the way you make me feel, and that is such a fantastic feeling. All I know is that I want to grab you and be in your arms forever and forever and never let go. I want to kiss your lips and never stop--just keep on going. Every time I think about you, it gives me more strength to carry on my life. It makes me happy to be alive, knowing that you've come into my life. All I know is that I want to be with you! And I hope that you, too, want always to be with me."

Daisy's face turned bright pink, and she had no idea what to say. Her words could do nothing to help her. She was left with nothing to do but to show him how she felt. When she noticed that Sean's face was turned away from the embarrassment, she grabbed the side of his face and turned it towards her.

No words were able to escape Sean's lips. The reason was that his lips were connected to Daisy's lips in a kiss. Despite being shocked, he returned the kiss. It did not last for long as both of them needed to part for air.

A moment of silence passed between the two of them. They stare at each other, smiling. "So....how long have you felt this way about me?" Sean asked Daisy. She replied "Ever since that night, when you found me crying, and you were there to comfort me. What about you?" With a gentle smile, Sean answered with "That very same night."

The next day at school, the music club saw Sean walking into the club room, holding someone's hand. They then see that it was Daisy!

"Hey guys," he said, then turning around to Daisy kissing her cheek. "See you later Daisy," he said as she kissed his cheek and walked away. "You too sweetie, bye!" Daisy said, walking over to a shocked Stacy.

Sighing, Sean closed the club door and looked at every member, who looked at him, absolutely shocked. "What?" he asked. "When did that happen, Sean? When did you get with Daisy?" Hailey asked. "Just last night," he replied, seeing a smile on Zander, Luke, Milly, and Jake's faces. Hailey sighed and smiled as well. "We're happy for you Sean," they all said. Sean nodded saying thank you.

After that night, Sean and Daisy were the happiest they could be.

Together.
