I sat at the police station in interrogation for hours. I explained how I met Gerald years ago in Japan. Getting them to believe that I had no idea about any of this was easy, getting them to believe he was framed was a different story.

Lindsey came into the room and made them release me. She offered me a ride home but I declined. I walked to the coroner's office and saw Ryan dancing around the room.

"I take it your date went well." I said and he smiled.

"It certainly did how did your's go?" He ran over to me excitedly.

"Terrible Geralds been arrested for Candice's murders." I responded quietly and then something fell from behind and we both looked to see her... Candice.

"That's rude I did not frame him Lindsey did, I wanted to kill him." She said sarcastically, "Lindsey is just lucky she's cute." Candice grinned at us wickedly.

"What are you doing here?" I asked her and she hopped off the metal bed thing we used for bodies she was sitting on.

"Just dropping by to say sorry about your boyfriend." She chuckled.

"I'm going to prove he's innocent and get him out." I told her and crossed my arms over my chest, I wanted to show her I wasn't afraid of her.

"Not if he's dead." She said and walked out.

"What do we do Ryan?" I asked him and he scratched his head.

"Why don't we call Megan maybe she can help be his attorney?" He suggested.

"Good idea I'll call her."

"Okay so I talked with Gerald. I was able to get the charges from over 20 years ago dropped because well it was over 20 years ago and... most of the parties involved are dead." Megan said and then sighed, "I could not get the murder charges dropped..."

"What are we gonna do? Candice did it not him..." I said with anger in my tone and Megan nodded slowly.

"If we had solid proof that Candice was there or Gerald was somewhere else when the murders happened, we then could get it dropped." Megan said and I thought about when each murder was committed then an idea popped in my head.

"One of the murders happened while Gerald was still in Japan. The very first one!" I said and Megan smiled.

"Perfect we just need a credit card statement or maybe an airline or ship ticket, did he fly or sail?" She asked and I went back to our conversation from the first night he arrived.

"He flew, there should be an airline ticket." I said and she headed for the door.

"I'm gonna see if I can get a copy of that ticket and maybe a credit card statement for additional proof and I'll get back to you." She left and I sat there alone, Ryan had to go home to feed his dog so he didn't have time to stay and talk.

I picked up my phone and put in a call to Gerald.
