Chapter Fourteen: Return To Japan
June 24th, 1981
Candice
Returning to this place was like a dream, or rather a nightmare. The town had been closed off so no one had went in or out after 1977. There was blood and bodies everywhere. I felt a hand on my shoulder and looked up to see Gerald. "Hey I know I was a douche before but it's hard for me being back here I can't imagine what you must feel..." He trailed off and I sighed.
"It's alright the quicker we get this over with the quicker we can go home." I said quietly and I faced the group. "Alright guys we need to go to my old hideout it's where my diary is... I wrote in it everyday. I gurantee it has some answers." I said carefully.
"You wrote in it or Michelle wrote in it?" Gerald said and I sighed.
"Probably both my memories are foggy. I can't exactly depict the difference between the two of us." I said and started walking and Gerald ran up by my side.
"I can. When you were with Millie you were always you, but only towards her. Until she betrayed you that is." He said calmly and I glared.
"Yeah I guess that's true for the most part, during the game that Michelle made her play though. It wasn't me I was only able to really see the bigger picture when I could not only see but feel her pain. They say twins are connected in bigger ways then we know." I responded quietly and he nodded.
"You weren't just upset that she died. You felt it didn't you? Like you lost a part of you?" He said and I nodded.
"I think it's what made me realize how much I wanted to be free. Then I was alone again for so long, it wasn't until I met Lindsey that I began to realize the same thing Millie made me realize." I opened the door to the old factory I used to hide in and shined a flashlight into the darkness.
"That it was never you as the monster and it was never who you wanted to be." Gerald finished my sentence and I squeezed his shoulder.
"You can be an ass sometimes but you really can be supportive and sincere to. Keep that in mind with her," I nodded towards Emberly who was not paying attention and trying to sight see with Ryan. "Don't lose her, she's a keeper." I said and went up the oh so familiar metal stairs into my room.
"You were always a person for views huh?" Gerald chuckled as he looked out the window which looked out into the sea of trees.
"I was." I picked up my diary off the stand. The first one I started and ended the day I left. "This is it."

Michelle
I couldn't believe she was still trying to undermine me. Did they really think I wouldn't know they followed me? Nevertheless it was time to play some games.
I made their flashlights die and sent things flying around the room. It was glorious they were all screaming and screaming for each other. I had to get the diary from Candice though. To many secrets.
"Let's see if you can survive another fall Gerald." I threw him towards the window and watched in surprise as Candice ran over and slid herself underneath him.
I looked out the window and she was laying under him, book still clutched under her arm. Gerald got up and looked at her and checked her over, "you could have gotten yourself killed you know?!"
"That's alright next time you save me alright?" She grabbed his hand and yanked him off into the forrest. Nobody knew that forrest better then Candice and I knew I'd never find them now.
I turned around and the others were gone. Candice had outsmarted me which I didn't like but I was also proud. I can't say I was surprised however, she knew me as well as I knew her. I guess that's what happens when you live inside someone for their entire life.
