He, then, somehow escaped the grip of the cats and started asking the cats (he knew that the cats would understand his words), "Why are you torturing me? What have I done? Did I do something wrong? I don't remember doing anything bad, then why are you torturing me? Please, leave me alone! let me go!"

The cats then together asked him,"Don't you know that, Daddy?" At that very moment Baldovin remembered everything.

He remembered his and Avaline's marriage, he remembered the day they adopted those 5 little cat, he remember the fire that caused the death of Sophie, Lilly, Leo and Lucy, and how he killed Avaline and Pluto.

He was so sad. He then asked the cats to punish him. And the punishment that he got, was fair enough for everyone.
