i have changed my mind about hiccup and y/n's couple song. they now have couple SONGS (nyehehehehehe)

so in the first film, their couple song was will i find my home. in the second film, their couple songs were her and champagne coast and in this film, their couple song is power over me by dermot kennedy and do i wanna know by artic monkeys (yay!)

07:29 PM. BERK, THE ISLE OF BERK

y/n weaves stems together, creating her tenth flower crown. that is what she has been doing for the last few hours. midnight yawns, lazily. she rests behind y/n as y/n lies against her side. both girls are wearing flower crowns, midnight's gems twisted into them. 

silence passes the two for a moment before y/n finally decides to speak up. 

"nyke kirimvose," she whispers to midnight, the dragon opening her silver eyes. "nyke issi va moriot konīr syt nyke, midnight. se kesan va moriot sagon konīr syt ao,"

midnight chitters, wrapping her tail around y/n's waist. y/n lets go of the semi formed flower crown, placing her hands on midnight's tail. 

"avy jorrāelan," y/n says to midnight. midnight smiles, chittering back. she loves her too. 

"i knew i'd find you here," y/n looks up, seeing hiccup look down from upon toothless. toothless lands next to y/n, nuzzling into her hands. hiccup gets down from toothless, petting midnight's nose. midnight smiles, her silver eyes still closed. "hey, beautiful," he sits down next to y/n, midnight wrapping her tail around hiccup too. 

"hello, my love," y/n whispers, putting her head on his shoulder. 

toothless rumbles, nudging hiccup with a grin. midnight snorts, snuggling into her paws.

"what?" hiccup questions with a raised brow, a small smile on his face. y/n laughs, cuddling into hiccup. toothless is so cute at times. hiccup does think that his dragon family are so all adorable and have the cutest individual quirks. however, when they sense a threat, they are the deadliest beings to even exist. toothless looks down at his prosthetic with another pleading rumble, looking up at hiccup with big eyes. "oh, all right," hiccup sighs, standing up. he bounces on one leg to get his prosthetic off. the things he does for the dragons he loves. "you do know it's not a chew toy, don't you?" he questions before his voice turns playful. "is this what you want? oh, do you want this leg?" toothless happily wags his tail, bowing and staring at the metal foot with rumbles. "do you want my leg?" hiccup grins, grunting as he throws it. "go get it!" 

toothless quickly dives after it, leaving hiccup, y/n and midnight on the cliff. this cliff is where hiccup admitted feelings for y/n and where she did the same. six years ago. goodness, they were so young then and naïve. 

a silences passes over them before hiccup's prosthetic leg is dropped with a bundle of salvia around it. y/n grimaces, scrunching up her nose. toothless rumbles from above, making both hiccup and y/n look up as toothless glides on the wind. midnight does not need to look up. she is aware of toothless being able to glide.

"getting pretty good at gliding on your own, bud," hiccup compliments, getting his map out from its compartment. y/n moves her head from hiccup's shoulder, letting him do his thing. he starts to focus on his map as toothless lands, panting and nudging the prosthetic to hiccup.

y/n watches as he traces the map with his finger before tapping a free spot that has not been drawn on. so that area has not been discovered. what is he thinking? toothless nudges y/n with the prosthetic foot before groaning at her. 

"if i must," she says, patting midnight's tail. midnight removes her tail from around y/n, moving it under her body. she picks the prosthetic leg up, tossing it away as toothless runs after it with speed. "that is disgusting," she wipes her hands on the grass, not wanting to get it on her dress. "i...i think that gobber is right," y/n says to hiccup, getting his attention. 

"r-really?" he stammers out, a small smile forming on his face. his eyes dilate, seeing her glow in the setting sun. she is so beautiful. "you think you and i should-"

"discover how are going bring berk back to optimum and solve all problems here?" y/n finishes, looking over at berk. "yes,"

"oh," he was not thinking that at all. he should be though. this is why she has the heart of a queen. "y-yeah, that's what i was thinking," hiccup deflates, blinking rapidly as he looks at her.

"berk is your birthplace and i do not wish for it to be destroyed," y/n says, looking over berk still. not like kingslanding. not like her birthplace. "it is beautiful,"

"yeah," hiccup says, looking over at y/n. gods. he loved her like he loved breathing. "beautiful,"

"i could not believe gobber," y/n laughs, dryly as she changes the conversation topic, smoothly. "i still can not believe him. such a topic, in front of our friends and family?" astrid is her sister. "i cannot..." y/n lets out a sigh, shaking her head. 

"yeah, i know...that was crazy..." hiccup mumbles in a monotone, pouting slightly as he looks away. "so so crazy,"

"i do not think that the idea of marriage is crazy," y/n says, fiddling with her dress. hiccup looks back at y/n so quickly, he almost gets whiplash. "with you. but i think that we must focus on the matters at hand before marriage. dragon trappers are coming in closer proximity to berk each day,"

hiccup settles an arm around y/n's waist, kissing her the side of her head.

"it does seems like the whole world knows about us now," he agrees in a concerned tone. y/n is always right.

"and with the large quantity of dragons which we always retrieve back..." y/n starts. 

"more trappers will try to come and take them," hiccup finishes off, sighing and looking back down at his map. i told you, they are in sync.

"toothless!" y/n groans as toothless drops the slobber covered prosthetic leg in her lap, making her grab it and quickly throw it away. toothless paws at midnight, the valyrian dragon snarling. toothless stops before pawing at her again. she growls, lunging at toothless the two dragon's playfighting around the couple. "only if there was a place that we could run to...or find a solution so that they will leave us in peace," y/n says, looking back over to berk. a place she has started to know as her home. 

does he tell her? of course, he will.

"there...there might be somewhere,"

"oh? do tell," y/n says, looking at hiccup. 

"i remember my dad and how he used to talk about the old mariners' myth. the secret land at the edge of the world?" hiccup questions, making y/n look at hiccup with wide eyes.

"you are aware of that?" y/n questions. "the dragon realm?"

"is that what it's called?" hiccup questions. of course, she would know what it is. this is the mother of dragons that we're talking about. "the dragon realm?"

"what do you know it as?" y/n questions. 

"the hidden world,"

"ah," y/n nods, taking in the information. "i do think that the hidden world sounds much better than the dragon realm. wait a moment, you want for us go to move the dragons to the realm?"

"nope! all of us," would that be possible? could humans survive there?

"but berk...it will not stand without us," y/n says, taking hiccup's hands into hers. hiccup looks down at her hands before looking back at her face. "are you certain that this is wise and it is what you want us to do?"

"i..." hiccup furrows his eyebrows. his dad left berk for him. he met y/n, toothless and midnight on berk. he brought his mother to berk. does he actually want to leave? "i don't know,"

"well, until you are certain, let us stay here," y/n smiles, putting her hand on his shoulder. 

midnight and toothless continue to play fight, toothless getting hiccup's foot and putting it all over midnight. midnight screeches, pawing at him and hitting toothless in the face.

"well, we could just take gobber's advice and tie the knot," hiccup not-so-subtly hints. he really does want to marry her. "that should fix everything. and, i-i mean, we are perfect for each other. but, hey! i-if you're having any doubts about yours truly, i'm pretty sure snotlout's available,"

"you do not joke on such matters!" y/n laughs, slapping hiccup's shoulder. he laughs, crossing his legs. "and i am certain he is only is attracted to your mother,"

"low blow, mi'lady!" he says. 

"oh, i think you caused this, you fiend,"

"fiend?!" hiccup laughs, snatching y/n up and putting her in his lap. he's very careful not to rip or tear her dress. he tickles her sides, keeping her close as she laughs. she has such a pretty laugh. "how dare you?! that is a low blow!" y/n tries to escape but he pulls her back towards him. "no, no! you are not escaping!"

"unhand you, fiend!" y/n laughs, not really wanting to be aware from him. 

"no way! you totally scared me! i thought you didn't want to marry me?!"

"i will always want to marry you!" y/n says, hiccup attacking her kisses all over her face. he stops looking at her, his eyes dilated. 

"you would?"

"of course, i would," y/n heaves, hiccup stopping his attacks on her. "i am in love you,"

"i'm in love with you too," y/n smiles, leaning in and kissing hiccup. hiccup kisses back, putting his hand on her cheek.
