"issa iōrves," y/n says as the group fly on the baby dragons. y/n can feel midnight. or a faint version of her. hiccup looks at her, waiting for her to continue. "gaoman daor jaelagon naejot gīmigon skoro syt issa iōrves hae ziry means bona issi kesīr,"

"we don't know that," hiccup says, trying to make her feel a bit better. y/n lets out a laugh. it is sweet. but it is not what she wishes to hear. not now.

"gaomi," y/n says, squinting to see berk infront of her. or what was berk infront of her. the baby dragons continue to coo absent-mindedly, unaware of the danger that is occurring. hiccup gasps softly when he sees the destruction on berk. all the work they did. all of it. built in five years, destroyed in a matter of hours.

this is not how valka should have seen berk, twenty years later. she should have seen it, when they did dragon races or relaxing days. anything else but this discord. 

"he took all the dragons," fishlegs says, the dragon army flying around the bewilderbeast. the bewilderbeast struggles to climb onto berk, allowing them some time. y/n and hiccup look at each other. they are doing this. for their dragons. 

"distract the alpha!" hiccup says to the others in a firm tone. "try to keep his focus off midnight and toothless,"

"are we certain midnight is with toothless?" charles questions, aloud. "it does not seem wise to separate at this moment,"

"midnight is with toothless," y/n says, turning her head back to look at charles. "they might be poisoned against me, but that will never happen with each other. do as hiccup said. the focus is to distract the unworthy alpha,"

"uh...how?" tuffnut questions with a raised brow.

"have you forgotten who you're riding with?" eret muses, gently petting his dragon. "there isn't a dragon alive that i can't wrangle!" the green nadder notices something on the ground and dives suddenly as eret screams. "except for this one!"

"amateur," snotlout snickers, rolling his eyes. y/n rolls hers, like he is any better. the group turns in sync on the baby dragons, getting closer and closer to berk.

a viking hiding behind a building, notices the group. hope at last. 

"it's hiccup and y/n!" he shouts, pointing to group. they might have lost the element of surprise but they can still surprise drago. the viking's shout and cheer in relief as the group fly above berk. the alpha turns with a roar, seeing the baby dragons with riders on top of them.

"what?" drago growls as he notices them, sitting on toothless with midnight flying close. y/n's pupils dilate as she sees her dragon. her sister. her best friend. she will get her back. the alpha snarls at hiccup and y/n as the two make their way up to drago.

a white sheep suddenly blocks hiccup from his gaze, bleating as he falls. the alpha stares as the sleep flies up in his face again, ruffnut and tuffnut below. what is that?

"keep them coming!" ruffnut grunts, launching another sheep in the air as bobber rushes over, carrying two sheep; one in each hand.

"black sheep, baby!" snotlout laughs, tossing the sheep to tuffnut.

the alpha roars out in annoyance, pausing when another thunderous sound echoes through the air. he turns and looks at the large horn, seeing no one there. that is going on? he roars once more, stopping as the black sheep smacks him on the forehead. it travels down his face, bleating as it lands above its mouth.

"ten points!" snotlout laughs as the alpha blows the sheep off his face.

eret catches the black sheep, the group looking up to the alpha. charles never knew annoying a dragon could be so fun. even though he has annoyed one, the whole time since she has met her.

"uh oh," 

the alpha bellows, angrily snarling and turning as the horn goes off once more. fishlegs giggles to himself before peeking over, screaming as the alpha roars and blows ice towards him, destroying another piece of berk that has been their for more than twenty years.

fishlegs quickly rushes off and away the horn, jumping and landing roughly. 

"i'm okay!"

the alpha turn his gaze, noticing y/n and hiccup closer to drago. and their dragons. they fly at each other's side, hiccup letting out a sigh. 

"you two certainly are hard to get rid of, i'll say that," drago chuckles, bitterly. but y/n pays no mind to him. her focus is her dragons.

"toothless? hey...it's me, bud," hiccup also ignores drago, focusing on the dragon in front of him.

"rytsas, midnight," the baby red dragon flies closer to midnight, y/n smiling at her best friend. "gaomagon ao rȳbagon nyke?"

toothless' vision is blurred, hiccup's voice disoriented. and it is the same for midnight, even though she can smell something familiar. 

"it's me. i'm right here, bud," hiccup looks over at midnight with a sad smile. "and so is midnight and y/n...we are all here,"

"gaomagon ao rȳbagon bona?" y/n whispers. "iksi mirre kesīr,"

"they're not yours anymore. they belong to the alpha." drago laughs, shaking his head. the alpha moves closer, staring intensely at toothless and midnight as drago continues. "but, please, oh great dragon master," drago mocks, bowing. he takes a glance at y/n. "mother of dragons. try to take them. they will not miss a second time," the alpha moves down in between toothless, midnight, y/n and hiccup, staring at toothless with low rumbles coming from him.

"ao gōntan daor jaelagon naejot ossēnagon se rūs," y/n tells midnight. 

"it's not your fault, buds," hiccup says, looking at both midnight and toothless. "they...made you do it,"

"ao would dōrī ōdrikagon iā rūs," y/n says to midnight. "se ao gīmigon ziry," midnight's pupils turn into ovals before turning back into slits, toothless doing the same. they're fighting for control. and the alpha is loosing it. 

"you'd never hurt him," hiccup moves closer, swallowing thickly as he holds back tears. "and you would never hurt me," toothless rumbles softly as hiccup finally enters his vision, clearly. hiccup sets his hand gently on toothless as he coos.

"midnight, iksā forgiven," y/n says, standing on the baby dragon's back. the dragon moves closer, y/n putting her hand out to midnight. "gaomagon ao ūndegon bisa zaldrīzes? issa zȳhon mandia. se ziry forgives ao," instinctively, midnight moves closer to y/n, her pupils dilating. y/n mounts midnight, hugging her. "avy jorrāelan sīr olvie. nyke jorrāelagon ñuha sȳrje raqiros arlī,"

"how...are you doing that?" drago looks between the pairs with wide eyes, leaning forward. it could be because they've know their dragons and they know that they are not evil. it could be because y/n is the destined mother of dragons. there could be loads of reasons. but the most important one is that y/n and hiccup love and adore their dragons and are willing to do anything to get them back.

toothless shakes his head, shutting his eyes before opening them, his tail wagging happily. he's regained control. midnight chitters, tilting her head to look back up at y/n. y/n smiles, hugging her tight.

"atta boy, that's it! i'm here!" hiccup laughs, moving his hand away.

"enough!" drago bellows, swiftly raising his staff and slamming the side of toothless' face. He raises it again, grunting with a gasp as toothless grabs the staff with his teeth and yanks him from the saddle.

"yeah!" hiccup cheers, toothless rumbling as he starts falling from the sky. "hang on!" and hiccup leaps off the baby dragon he was on, going after toothless.

"jikagon," y/n looks down, cooing at the baby dragon to leave. it does not need to stay here any longer. "kirimvose," midnight dives down, hiccup getting himself onto toothless at the last second and the two dark coloured dragons fly up in sync. drago lands on the tusks of the alpha with a grunt.

they fly to the side, y/n narrowing her eyes as she looks at the alpha. 

"do something!" drago shouts from on top of the alpha, him roaring as he watches the two.

"we need to get those two apart," hiccup says, y/n nodding in agreement. they twist around berk, the alpha spitting ice at them.

"midnight and toothless cannot fall in the alpha's clutches once again," y/n says, moving her body to midnight tilts to the side and she reaches for two pieces of fabric from the fallen flag. midnight flies close to toothless, y/n passing a piece of fabric to hiccup. 

"trust us, okay, buds?" midnight chitters as y/n put the fabric over midnight's eyes and tying it over the back of her head. hiccup does the same for toothless, putting his hand over toothless' nose. "we can do this. all of us as one," midnight chitters, toothless letting out a rumble. hiccup switches toothless' fin into position.

"do not crash," y/n says, suddenly. she turns to look at him, hiccup looking at her back. "i beg of you. do not crash," she repeats. hiccup put his hand out to her, y/n taking hold of it. 

"i won't," hiccup says, softly. "va moriot, remember?"

"va mariot," y/n nods, them swooping down and flying past a crowd of viking's. and one hightower. and they all cheer for the future of berk.

"take him down, guys!" astrid cheers with a nod, the others all yelling in agreement. charles holds the baby dragon, watching the two dragon rider's go and save berk.

they fly past valka, the older woman watching them with a smile. if only stoick was here watching. but he is. 

"go get them!"

"take control of them!" drago commands to the alpha as the two fly near. the alpha rumbles, obeying and focusing on the two.

"shut him out, guys." hiccup calls, covering toothless' ears.

"focus va nyke, midnight," y/n says, looking back before redirecting her gaze.

"stop them!" drago then orders, realizing the mind control will not work. 

midnight flies down infront of toothless, letting out a plasma blast near drago as the alpha spits ice at them. 

"bē!" y/n shouts, midnight flying upward, spinning and flying upside down at toothless' side. drago laughs, mockingly pointing at the girl before gasping when he sees hiccup wasn't on toothless. the red fabric flies off toothless' face as he rumbles, y/n moving the fabric from midnight's eyes. she looks down at drago, giving him a look of disgust. "se bisa iksis se drīve skoro syt īlon should ossēnagon vali hae bisa," y/n mutters, midnight letting out a laugh. now, it is all up to hiccup.

drago turns, gasping as hiccup flies at him with his wing-suit. he swings his staff, missing hiccup as he leaves a trail of green zippleback gas. hiccup grunts, lighting the gas and blasting drago off the alpha as he screams, the alpha roaring. drago lands roughly on the floor, his staff a few paces from him.

he never should have underestimated twenty year olds.

hiccup looks back, flying using his suit before seeing the tail of the alpha. 

"not again," hiccup groans. 

"hiccup!" y/n yells as toothless screeches, racing to hiccup's aid. he said he would not crash. y/n looks around. if she jumps, she will get impaled. 

"toothless! it's now or never!" toothless looks ahead in determination, opening his back-fins and swooping below hiccup as he grabs the saddle. "come on, bud!" midnight flies by by toothless, chittering encouragement at him. "hold on!" hiccup shouts as they swoop up and out of the way of the tail. they did it. "we did it!" hiccup laughs, rubbing toothless' face as y/n pats midnight's head.

"i partially feared that you would fall," y/n states. "but you did not. and i am happy,"

"told you," hiccup winks at her, y/n rolling her eyes but smiling none the less. they fall backwards, hiccup holding the saddle with one hand as y/n holds nothing. 

they fly back to berk, toothless' wing kissing the dirt as he lands. each dragon lands on either side of drago, y/n jumping of and reaching her sword. she throws it through the air and slicing drago's hand as he tries reach for his staff. he screams from the pain, glaring at the two as hiccup starts to put his wing-suit away.

"hold him there, guys." hiccup tells their dragons. "it's all over now," the dust behind them clears, revealing the alpha towering over them. drago notices, smirking as he holds his bloody hand up.

"or is it?" y/n did not like the way he said that. she turns, seeing the alpha. her eyes go wide as hiccup hugs her, covering her from the ice as both toothless and midnight fly towards their riders, the ice freezing over them.

drago flinches back from the ice and covers his face as the ice crackles softly, forming jaggedly. he turns, looking back with a laugh, smirking mockingly and sneering at the sight as he nods.

"no!" valka jumps from the baby nadder and slamming her hands onto her ice. "no!" she grunts, hitting it over and over. y/n's sword reflects from the ice, standing tall and pretty, 

gobber and astrid rush over with the others, astrid backing away a step with a gasp as tears form in her eyes. that is her sister. her best friend. a faint blue glow starts to light the ice, a loud hissing sound escaping as astrid and gobber notice with confusion.

"no..." valka whimpers, leaning her forehead on the ice before jolting away from the sudden heat. valka gasps, her eyes wide as she swiftly backs away rushing out of range. drago's eyes widen as the ice glows even brighter, making him grunt as he attempts to rush away.

the ice explodes, making people cry out and exclaim as the two dragons were seen covering hiccup and y/n. midnight has her wing over to the two with her tail wrapped around them. toothless stood over them, shaking his head while breathing heavily. no one is messing with his family. not now. not ever.

y/n and hiccup check over each other, happy that there are no injuries on one another. hiccup pulls her close, his hands around her waist. 

toothless was glowing a faint blue, showing the rage he feels. and y/n and midnight can feel it too. midnight looks at her brother, grey eyes full of curiousness as toothless lets out an earth-shattering roar. toothless looks back, purring softly as he looks over the two. hiccup looks at toothless breathless as y/n pets his nose. midnight chitters, toothless rumbling at her. 

toothless flies up on an ice spike, midnight following after, getting on a lower one. she stays silent, watching the alpha. 

the alpha roars at toothless, toothless roaring back with a spiked back. 

"toothless is challenging the alpha!" hiccup realizes, valka joining him and y/n. 

"and midnight is standing in beta," y/n smiles with awe. midnight as beta?! seven hells.

"to protect the both of you," valka comments. 

toothless fires a plasma ball, striking the left side of the bewilderbeast's face before doing the same to the other side, not giving the bewilderbeast a chance to recover. he fires another blast, leaping up and back as the bewilderbeast destroys some of the ice shards toothless was on. toothless barks at midnight, making him roar back with a nod as he turns and jumps back to hiccup and the others, guarding them.

toothless fires another blast, making the bewilderbeast screech in pain and back away as he starts to lose his control on the other dragons. from above, stormfly shakes her head with a low chitter, her eyes widening as she sees toothless and midnight.

toothless fires another blast, making the bewilderbeast back away another step, then another, then another as he roars in pain. toothless leaps back to midnight's side, facing ahead and roaring to the other dragons. they obey, happily flying to toothless' side as the bewilderbeast roars in retaliation. but he cannot do anything now.

"no, no, no, no, no!" drago screams, grabbing his staff and using it to pull himself on the bewilderbeast's tusk. he can't be loosing. after all the work he put in to get an alpha, to hoard dragons, to get an army. "fight back! fight! fight!" the bewilderbeast rumbles, unable to take control of the dragons. but then again, why would they? he took away any of their free will. "what's the matter with you?!" drago shouts, panting in anger as he turns back towards berk.

the group stand tall, looking at drago, ready to fight side by side as dragons fly above them. even charles stands with them, not fighting a day in his life. y/n mounts midnight, hiccup doing the same to toothless. they leap forward, toothless on a tall slab of ice as midnight is next to him on a smaller slab of ice. 

"now, do you get it?" hiccup yells, toothless huffing lightly as he stands tall. "this is what it is to earn a dragon's loyalty!"

"you have been defeated," y/n says, violet eyes looking down at drago. "remove yourself from the dragon and stand down. immediately,"

"never!" drago rages, any sense of reason falling from his mind. "come on!" he commands, the bewilderbeast stepping forward. 

toothless snarls, roaring over to midnight. midnight roars back, turning to the dragons and roaring loudly, who all listen to her and gather fire in their mouths. toothless fires a blast at the bewilderbeast, midnight doing the same as drago cries out before gasping when more and more blasts were fired. skullcrusher fires blasts, cloudjumper hydro-blasting the bewilderbeast along with grump. even, the baby dragons are firing. they might be weak blasts but it's the thought that counts.

y/n looks around, seeing all the dragons come together as one. their attacks were relentless, every dragon on berk, and from the nest too, attacking the false alpha as he backs away.

"fight!" drago screams to the alpha, grunting as he avoids the blasts and hides behind the bewilderbeast's spikes.

toothless stands tall, closely watching the bewilderbeast before rumbling softly to midnight, who snorts before looking at drago. midnight begins to fire blasts near drago, making him scramble away with shouts as he quickly ducks back behind another one of the bewilderbeast's spikes, skullcrusher spotting him. skullcrusher fires a blast, striking drago's prosthetic arm off his body as drago screams with wide eyes, staring at his missing arm with wide eyes. that is what you get for messing with dragon's.

"keligon," y/n puts her hand up, closing it in a fist as the dragons listen to her. and stop firing at the bewilderbeast. the bewilderbeast rises, charging at the two smaller dark coloured dragons and he gets hit. midnight hits him in the eye with her plasma ball, toothless hitting him in the tusk. the tusk falls to the ground, the bewilderbeast roaring out in pain. the bewilderbeast whimpers softly, as toothless cuts his roar off, backing away as he bows while nervously looking at the new alpha. new and improved.

"the alpha and the beta...will protect them all," hiccup says with a smile, making drago's eyes widen as he gasps.

"va moriot," y/n finalises, letting out a little smirk. drago yells as the bewilderbeast dives into the ocean, taking him down with him. midnight chitter, y/n letting out a laugh. good riddance.
