Chapter 2 - Help Not Wanted
"Oh my God!" Dean said as he shoved the over sized sandwich into his mouth. "This is delicious." He said with a mouth full.
Sam watched as his brother pigged out on the monster of a sandwich. The burger itself was almost too big to fit into Dean's mouth, but that didn't stop Dean.
The two brothers were currently in Kansas City Missouri, where they had stopped at a BBQ place called "Arthur Bryant's". They sat inside the small restaurant next to a window. Sam had his laptop on the table researching any strange cases taking place in the large city.
"Dean, listen to this." Sam said. "Apparently at the old hotel there was a group suicide in 1929."
"So?" Dean asked with a mouthful of beef sandwich. "That was when the stock market crashed, not that uncommon. Besides aren't we supposed to be looking for the demon that put a bounty on our heads?"
Dean was right, the demon that had put the three million dollar bounty on their heads clearly wanted them dead. Not to mention whoever decides to come collect that bounty.
Sam was about to come back with a counter argument when a car horn blared outside. Both Sam and Dean looked out the window with interest.
It was dark outside, but they could just make out a man in a trench coat standing in the middle of the road. Castiel merely glared at the car that almost ran him over. Dean chuckled at their angel friend with the trench coat and crooked tie. Castiel opened the door to the small restaurant and sat down beside Dean.
"Still haven't learned how to cross the street yet, have you Cass?" Dean smirked. Cass rolled his eyes at the comment. His stern expression could make any mortal turn to stone. Amused by the angel's hard expression, Dean offered Cass a french fry. Cass glared at his friend which was his version of saying no.
"Have you found anything on the demon who wants us dead?" Sam asked.
"No," Cass said. "But whoever put out this bounty is not messing around
Neither is anyone trying to collect it." Cass sighed. "That's why I've called for reinforcements."
Dean's smile faded from his face as he put his sandwich back on the plate.
"Cass we don't need any help." Dean scolded.
"Yeah Cass," Sam interjected. "We can deal with this ourselves. You didn't need to bring our friends into this."
"Well then it's a good thing I didn't." Cass stated. There was sass in his voice as he glared at Sam as well.
There was confusion in both of the Winchester's faces.
"Who did you call?" Dean asked.
"An angel." Cass said.
Sam slammed his laptop shut. "Excuse me?" He barked.
"Yeah Cass, what the hell?" Dean questioned.
They had all had their fair share of angels over the past years, and the Winchester brothers couldn't deal with any more.
"I'm saying no Cass." Sam concluded.
"Me too." Said Dean.
Cass sighed. "Just give her a chance. Please, that's all I'm asking." He pleaded.
"No." Dean repeated.
"You'll just have to meet her." Cass said quietly. Dean didn't hear that last part.
"Sorry what?" He asked.
"You will just have to meet her then." Cass said louder. Before either brother could comprehend what Cass had just said, they were transported out of the restaurant.
