"How much longer is this lady gonna work?" Kate murmered. The Winchesters were parked in the Impala outside Laurel's office. Kate was getting antsy in the backseat; stakeouts were never her forte. "She's still hasn't left," She complained.

"I've heard of working late but this is ridiculous," Dean rubbed his eyes. It was about 1:00 in the morning and the Winchesters were still there.

Kate looked up at Laurel's window. She was still at her desk, still working. Kate moaned and fell back in her seat. Dean gave her a sideways glance from his seat in the front. He didn't think that he ever remembered his big sister being this impacient. Then again, he didn't have that many chances to go on jobs with her when she was alive. Now that he thought about it, this was probably only his second or third job with Kate and it was definetely Sam's first job with her.

"She's moving," Sam pointed out. Dean and Kate both looked up at the window. Laurel was standing at her desk, she stretched her arms and walked out of view.

"Kate,"

"On it," Kate's eyes began to glow with golden swirls as she used her seer power to look inside. Inside, Laurel was slipping off her shoes and taking down her hair. Kate made a hissing noise and she turned her vision away as Laurel began to undress.

"What? What's she doing?" Dean prodded.

"She's getting undressed," Kate answered. Dean and Sam shifted uncomfortably. Kate moved her vision back on Laurel who was now wearing a pink shirt and sweatpants. Laurel yawned and opened a hidden closet in one of the walls. She pulled out a small bag and made her way to the bathroom.

"Okay, she's going to the bathroom. It looks like she's getting ready for bed," Kate explained.

"At work?"

"Maybe she sleeps in her office,"

A few minutes later, Laurel came back to her office with no makeup on and a tooth brush in her mouth. She walked over to a plant that had big leaves and a large flower bud that could bloom any day now. She smiled and began to pet the leaves tenderly.

"So what's she doing?" Dean interrupted.

"Shush, I'm trying to concentrate," Kate snapped. "She's petting one of her plants,"

Kate watched intently as Laurel fingered the bud. She waved her fingers over the plant and the bud magically bloomed into a beautiful pink flower.

"Oh boy," Kate muttered.

"What,"

Kate swallowed hard. "She's not human,"

"A draiad?" Dean questioned.

"I guess so," Kate offered. They were back at the motel, trying to gather their thoughts.

"It explains why your mind trick wouldn't work on her," Sam pointed out. "You said it only works on humans," Kate nodded. "What I don't understand is why she's attacking the forest if she knows that other nymphs live there,"

"Don't know, don't really care," Dean said. He was sitting on the bed and cleaning his gun. "I say we just kill the bitch and get the job done already,"

Dean had a point, it felt like they had been working on this job for months. It had barely even been a week since they first arrived in this little town, despite how it felt.

"At least we know how to kill her," Kate offered. "Just gotta destroy the plant her life force is tied to,"

"Yeah but which plant?" Sam asked. "There were plants all over the building, she could be tied to any of them,"

Kate thought about this. Sam was right, the entire building was eco friendly despite the fact that it was a deforestation company. It was covered in plants everywhere. The more she thought about it, the more complicated their plan seemed.

"Not to mention the fact that she'll catch onto what we're doing if we just start killing them all in broad daylight. We need to figure out exactly which one she's tied to before we go charging in," Kate determined.

The Winchesters sat in silence, trying to figure out which one Laurel was tied to. They had no idea where to even start. That's when Kate got an idea.

"I've got it," Kate sprang from her seat and bolted into the bathroom. Sam and Dean were confused when they heard Kate turn the water on.

"Kate, now is not the time for a shower," Dean barked.

"Shut up and come here," Kate called. Reluctantly, Sam and Dean walked into the bathroom. Kate had the water faucets running hot water, making the bathroom steam like crazy.

"What are you doing? Besides jacking up the water bill,"

"Just wait," Kate pushed past her brothers and into their room. She came back a few seconds later with a flashlight and a glass prism. She carefully manuevered the prism and the flashlight, making a rainbow in the steam.

"Pretty," Dean said sarcastically. Kate rolled her eyes and pulled a gold coin out of her pocket.

"Oh Iris, goddess of the rainbow, please accept my offering," Kate threw the coin into the mist and it disappeared. The steam swirled and an image began to appear in the mist. A tan skinned girl with short hair and a big smile was waving.

"Hey Kate," She grinned.

"Hi Ash," Kate blushed. Sam and Dean were standing in shock at the misty image of the girl. It was like a steamy version of face time.

"How's the job going?" Ash questioned.

"Um, it's going," Kate stammered. "We figured out that the head of the company is also a draiad so if we can get her out of the picture, you'll be safe. Unfortunately, we don't know which plant she's tied to. Is there any way we could descretely figure that out,"

Ash thought for a moment.

"Well," she started. "Most draiads take the first name of the plant they're tied to. Like how I'm tied to an ash tree, her first name should indicate what plant she's tied to," Sam immediately went to the other room to grab the laptop.

"Her appearance should also be a good indicator," Ash added. "If she's tied to a very green plant, her skin would give off a green tint. If she's tied to a tree with dark bark, her skin would be tan,"

"She's got pale skin and dark hair," Kate suggested.

"So she's probably tied to a plant with a pale stem or white bark. Although most nymphs don't tie themselves to smaller plants since they're so fragile,"

"Okay, thanks Ash," Kate smiled.

"Iris message me again sometime," Ash waved. "Or better yet, come and visit," She had a dirty smirk on her face, making Kate blush.

"B-bye," Kate stuttered.

"Bye," Ash cheered. Kate waved her hand through the mist and the image disappeared. She turned around to face Dean who was leaning against the door frame, smirking mischeviously.

"Don't even," Kate snarked. Dean raised his hands defensively as Kate pushed past him.

"I think I've got it," Sam said. He was sitting on the bed, scrolling on the laptop. "It's a Laurel tree," Kate and Dean crowded around their youngest brother to see the screen. He had pulled up a picture of a tree with white bark and dark green leaves.

"Wasn't there a tree like that in the lobby," Dean inferred. Kate's eyes started glowing with their golden swirls.

"There is," she answered. Her eyes reverted back to their usual shade of green.

"Then it's settled," Dean stated. "We hack the tree, we hack the bitch," The Winchesters nodded in agreement.

The siblings spent the rest of the night/morning discussing a plan of attack. Kate's seer power allowed them to get a layout of the building and draw a map. Kate was also able to locate emergency levers and easy exits throughout the complex. It was 2:30 by the time they had devised a plan and were heading to bed.

Sam flicked the light switch, turning the lights off. Dean was already passed out on his bed while Kate was on her pullout with the blanket pulled over her head. Sam was making his way to his bed when he saw something glowing by Kate's bed. It was like a pair of headlights glowing under her blanket. She was using her seer power again, but what was she watching?

Hello! Hello! Hello! It's been a while, I know. Sorry again about the long wait, but I hope it was worth it for you guys. Just a fair warning, the next one will be a lot longer with more action and drama. It may take a while for me to write, but it'll be worth it.
