Chapter 1 - Confession

Dean was sitting on the bunker's kitchen table reading something on a newspaper when Sam walked in.

"Got anything new?" he asked his big brother.

"Huh? Oh, I wasn't reading this shit. I was just staring at it and thinking about Cas." Dean confessed. He was sick and tired of hiding it anymore. "Sam, where is he? Why didn't he come and see me... uuhh.. us?" Dean's voice was now cracking. All these built up emotions, all those things he needed to say to him were now turned into tears.

"Hey, man, relax. Cas will be fine. I know he hasn't contacted with you lately but... he always comes back, right? Don't worry, brother." Sam tried to comfort him grabbing his right shoulder and shaking him a bit. "You really care about him." it wasn't a question, it was a statement, a fact because Sam knew.

"Sam, I just... can't hold it back anymore. I... I love him." Dean hid his face in his palms, not wanting to seem weak in front of his brother. What would Sam think of him now? His big brother falling for an angel with a male vessel?

"Hey, hey, look at me. I know." Sam tried to lift his brother's face. "I know, Dean. You can't freaking fool me! It's so damn obvious. And you know what? I think, hell, I'm sure that Cas feels the same. So, as soon as he's back, you better fucking tell him or I'll take this matter on my own hands, bitch."

Dean chuckled at his brother's words. "Jerk."

"Thank God, if you hadn't taken part in the ritual, I would be pretty sure that you had been possessed or something. Anyway, we got a call from a man. Technically, dad got it... he called his cellphone. Whatever, he lives here in town and I'm going to take a quick look. You will join me, won't you?"

Dean turned his head from right to left for some time. He sighed deeply and looked down.

"No Sammy. I'm sorry but I don't feel like hunting and killing vampires right now. I'm gonna stay here alone. I want time to think. Is it okay for you?"

"Yeah Dean, obviously. No problem. Just promise me you won't suicide or drown in your own tears, man. The whole thing is starting to get really creepy."

Sam winked at Dean, and then he left the room. "What would I do without my little brother?", he thought.

Unanticipatedly, he had the sense of something strange in the air. A sudden silence came into the room. Dean stood up. He shouted.

"Oh, give me a break. Whatever you are, you have such a bad timing."

"Come on baby, let's have some fun together". He put his hand in his pocket and caught his non-lethal weapon.

Then he realized that he was familiar with this feeling.

"Wait... is that you... Castiel?"

"Hello, Dean." Castiel spoke up, staring down at his feet.

Dean was shocked. Tears threathened to spill once again but he hold them back. He quickly made his way to the angel and pulled him into his arms. Castiel melted into Dean's warm embrace and a sigh of relief escaped his lips.

"Thank God, you're safe. I was worried sick! Where the hell have you been?" Dean released Cas from the bonds of his arms. Now, that exact attitude Cas was expecting from Dean. He would get mad and yell at him, just like any other time.

"Dean, I was hiding! Can you even imagine how hard it is for me to keep you safe? Angels are after me wherever I go, whatever I do. They are hunting me down, they want to kill me and worst of all, they want to kill you! And all because I-" Castiel avoided Dean's green eyes and stared at the ceiling trying so hard not to collapse right there and then.

"Because what, Cas?" Dean's expression softened as he realised how much of a pain Cas was into.

"It doesn't matter." Cas lied.

"You should get some sleep." Dean tried to change the subject.

"Angels don't sleep, you assbutt."

"Woah, there. Sassy much?" Dean chuckled.

"I mean... sorry. I'm just upset. What I wanted to say before is..." he made a sort pause and took a deep breath before he continued "I'm hunted because.. I need you, Dean. You're like the only friend I have... and Sam of course. And I won't give up to the angels without fighting. Amongst all other angels, I'd choose you, Dean. Always." Cas took a step back and clenched his fists as he nervously stared at Dean, anticipating his answer.

"Well, don't tell Sam cause he's gonna fangirl all over the place but... I'd choose you too, Castiel. Look, I'm not... gay, I never liked boys but.. I feel different with you. I- I think I might be... In love with you? I don't even know anymore, Cas. My heart skips a beat when you pop up unexpectedly and when you're in danger, I just... I lose my mind, you know? I can't afford losing you, Castiel. I just... I need you all the damn time." Dean finally did it. He confessed his love to his angel. Was this even real?

Cas could breathe easier now that he had heard Dean's confession. He took another step closer to him with confidence.

Dean continued talking.

"But we have to take things slow. I mean... would you like to go on a date with me sometime? Is that what you really want? And then we're gonna move some furniture around."

Cas took an enigmatic smile. "Well... it's not exactly what I had in mind but yes, it would be perfect. We can do it in the near future".

He moved forward and pressed against him so closely he could feel Dean's heart beat next to his.

Dean asked in his innocent manner: "Just a minute... what do you mean it's not exactly what you had in mind? Wait, do I wanna know?"

Then he understood. How could he be so clueless?

"Castiel, huhh, you know. I have never kissed anyone before".

"Aw, neither have I, but I'm glad I will be your first".

It all happened so quickly. Cas grabbed Dean's waste and he put his open lips on his. He slowly let them sup like they were designed to be together. He gave him the most gentle, passionate kiss he had in years.

Dean gave in. At first he didn't show any emotions but he was bursting inside from joy because it was so fantastic. He kissed him back aggressively and romantically. Then he felt a weird warm thing slide between his lips. He realized it was his tongue and he swooned.

Cas moved his lips from Dean's and looked him straight in his hazel green eyes. He asked him tentatively.

"Did you like it? I mean... was it good? I hope I didn't disappoint you. Be honest". Dean answered quietly.

"Castiel It... it was the best kiss of my life."
