Chapter Fifty-Eight (The Wedding & Coronation, Pt. One)

Carson's POV

Ten days later...

It's the morning of the biggest day of my life and I'm soaking in this beautiful hot tub with everything smelling of jasmine, honey, and peppermints as I take in the blissful silence of the bathroom that's briefly interrupted by the sounds of my mates, Iain, and Archer acting like total groom-zillas running around with their heads cut off.

"You better not have those bloody reality-star wannabes at St. Catherine's in place of the Kardashians," I heard Alain bark from somewhere. "I don't care if they're the toast of Seattle, they are banned since completely being trashed at my mate's birthday party."

He was talking about the Langley Sisters of The Seattle Langleys. Yeah, they weren't on everyone's good list since completely crashing the party while being hammered. And to make it worse for them, they puked on Ciara's favorite dress... all on camera and broadcasted on TV. Since then, they were blackballed for life.

And then came the raging and thick accent of Yesenia's mate from outside. "Why are you standing there with those god-awful bouquets of jonquils when you could be taking those back to your boss's shop?  Topaz and his cousin are severely allergic and the Joneslakes will hang you by your bloody balls if they die on the spot."

"No, no, no, no, no!" I heard Gavin whimper from his bedroom. "Please tell me that the River Park Alpha from Pittsburgh and his wife aren't near the Salanis of Tennessee. They have a major rivalry and- thank you. I suspected that the Salanis wouldn't make it since Louis and Tamar would be there."

It was all like the faint muffling of a swarm of bees as I sighed happily in the bathtub without a care in the world. So much has happened since that fateful day two years ago- the rejection and the Soul Conversion, the car crash that put me in a coma, going from a broken rogue to a powerful prince and Moon Wolf, meeting my mates, being kidnapped, mating, and being pregnant...

It all seemed like a dream, but it was all real.

Very real.

And if you would have told me back when I was being locked away in the basement of the Four Aces pack that I would be a future ruler of the supernatural, I would have told you that you had lost your mind before being swept away for another beating or being killed by the bullies. Funny how everything can change with a simple rejection.

And as much as you guys want to think that I'm nuts for saying this, I want to thank Regan for not accepting me and being my initial mate. I mean, he and his twin brother were fine as hell and they could be very ambitious. But with one wanting nothing to do with me and wanting all omegas to die while the other was obsessive and power-hungry, you can bet that I would've been miserable- if not dead. And I already had a feeling that my Mom had other plans for me with mating and my destiny.

There was a knock at the bathroom door. "Who's there?" I asked. "If it's my mates, you guys can't be here. It's bad luck to see me before the ceremonies. And Eurydice and Ciara would have you castrated if-"

"It's me," I heard the voice of my trusted friend Ciara as she and Bianca came in with a bathrobe in the former's hand and a garment bag and a shoebox in the latter's hands. "And don't worry about the nine, Carson. Your Mom was around to transport them to the ceremony after Medusa quickly transported them. And let's just say that She's one very classy broad who doesn't play around with this ceremony. She gave us the seal of approval for all that we planned."

"And anyway, we're here to get you ready," Bianca added. "The ceremony begins at exactly noon and we have three more hours before showtime. All the guests are arriving with the Council being fed by Colleen's aunt and Cora Mae's daughter and friends. We got you a breakfast plate on hand as well. So, are you ready for the biggest day of your life?"

I took a deep breath, inhaling the calming scents from the oils placed in the tub. "I'm as ready as I'll ever be," I replied, standing up slowly while taking pains to not harm my unborn sons. "And I can say that I hope that my sons are not going to arrive today since my due date would be today."

The women looked at each other with smiles before facing me. "Well, anything can and will happen," Ciara agreed. "Now, let's get you ready for the ceremony."

************

"Thank you," I said to a tastefully dressed Yesenia as she and her husband took away my tray as the hairdressers and makeup artists continued to work their magic on me while the couturier was fussing about with my tuxedo, checking for any hidden flaws. "You guys look amazing by the way, more so since you're son is coming along."

"And we're so glad that you're going to be our godfather," Armando, a dapper and beefy Hispanic who could pass for Jesse Metcalfe, replied as he handed me a glass of orange juice. "You came a long way, amigo. How does it feel to be crowned the Moon Wolf Prince of the Supernaturals and getting married on the same day?"

I thought for a moment. "In a word, it's very exciting yet nerve-wracking all at once," I admitted. "With all that's happened in the past, I never expected things to lead to this moment. But then again, with my Mother being the Moon Goddess and my relatives being Her Brothers and Sisters- my Aunts and Uncles, I guess you can say that anything can be possible."

"True," Yesenia agreed as the makeup crew finished with cleansing and anointing my face and the hairstylists finishing with my haircut. "You went from a broken omega who was rejected by the pig to the powerful Moon Wolf that I dreamed that I would meet one day. You deserve this moment, chico. And I can hope that my son and your sons will have the same happiness one day."

"You can count on it," I heard Ciara say as the last of the stylists and the couturiers left the room while she and her mother came inside. "Time to get you dressed."

I turned my chair to face her as she revealed my tuxedo- an elegant and simple red ensemble designed by none other than Christian Dior with the shoes from Tom Ford and hand-made by Sarina Greene, the famous seamstress, and witch who was the talk of all tailors for female and male Lunas of high society. And since she knew that I was pregnant, she made sure that it was going to fit me and my slightly large belly.

"It's perfect," I breathed. "Let's get me dressed, girl. I want my mates to see me look stunning."

"You don't have to tell me twice," the female Alpha replied giddily.

Ten minutes later, I stood in front of the mirror, taken aback that the tuxedo was able to hide my baby bump with the greatest of ease and made me slimmer. My usually coily hair was now in a cropped style with it being greased and slicked back and showing waves and a subtle fade. My skin was glowing as were my eyes (the latter literally glowing with excitement and power) and my lips were now plumped with lip venom and lip balm.

In short, I looked like I was ready for my arrival.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we are live!" I heard the booming and cheery voice of Topaz as he and Eurydice were dressed in matching deep-blue tuxedoes, the latter live on his radio talk show with his entourage and the ladies following behind them in matching red groomsmaid gowns. "And our future prince is looking like he's been blessed by the Goddess herself! Carson, darling, are you ready for the biggest moment of your life?"

The microphone he carried was pointed at me. "You bet that I am," I replied. "And here's my word of the day: opulence. As in 'Opulence. I own everything." But I don't want to put on any airs since I am still a humble young servant of my mother."

Everyone sighed in happiness. "True, true," Topaz crooned. "Ladies and gentlemen, don't you dare go away as we are now less than ninety minutes from the Wedding and Coronation of the Millennium. And no tea and no shade to Kate and Meghan, but this ceremony will blow theirs out of the water. And with them at the chapel, they're bound to be shook with envy. And now, a commercial for y'all with enough time to gather around the screens to catch the event live!"

"Sixty seconds and station identification," said the unknown voice.

"Carson, when we arrive at the cathedral, you can have a few moments to yourself," Topaz told me, accepting a glass of champagne. "Most male and female omegas getting married need a few minutes to collect themselves- some take a moment to pray or drink some water."

"Thanks, but all I need right now are a few peppermints and my mates at the altar," I replied, letting a few of the other well-dressed maids place a velvet train on my back. "And I take it that we're traveling by style?"

"Does a Rolls-Royce sound good to you?" Arianna asked me.

"You bet it does."

"Well then, it looks like we're all dressed up and ready to roll," Alissa proclaimed as she and her were-cat shifter mate arrived. "The procession is ready at your command."

I took a deep breath, letting all the goosebumps fade away from my body. "Let's roll out," I said. To my hidden baby bump, "Boys, just hold on a little bit longer, okay. After the ceremony, you can make your arrival."

We made our way through the palace and out the door where the large wedding procession full of two Maybach limousines and a Rolls-Royce Phantom waited for us. I stepped in the Phantom with Harvey, Ciara, and Delia following me inside. "Showtime," I said, motioning for the driver to begin.

The older man grinned, giving the large group of guards on motorcycles (led by Gabriella on her custom-made gold Ducati) to begin. And soon, we were on the way.

As we began the thirty-minute drive through the streets of the rich neighborhood, I saw large crowds huddled on the sidewalks cheering and throwing flowers at us. I let down the window and was greeted by a passing rose. I took it, gave it a sniff, and blew a kiss to the crowd that set them off in cheers.

"Long live the Moon Wolf! Long Live Prince Carson!" everyone cheered.

"Carson, you can't say that Denver doesn't love you today," Ciara said, feeling giddy at all of the attention while waving at the crowd. "And they love you a lot!"

"Obviously," I commented, catching a daffodil and sniffing it before blowing another kiss.

Too soon, we arrived at the main entrance of the large Gothic-styled church that could make the Westminister Abbey look like a log cabin since it was updated with a fresh design with jewels and stained glass windows. The driver got out and opened the rear passenger door. I stepped out and was greeted by the guards saluting and cheering me on. Harvey led me up the stairs with his wife and daughter joining the troupe (except for Topaz as he and Eurydice joined the reporters in covering the wedding) in carrying my train.

"Y'all ready for the wedding and coronation?!" Topaz told the crowd of onlookers who were dressed in their Sunday best! They replied with loud happy cheers that filled the bright afternoon air.

I stepped inside and was met with an elegant sight. The inside was decked out to look like I was being welcomed into a world of royalty with my mates (in matching Tom Ford black) waiting for me with grins on their faces. Behind them stood the Council and the Gods and Goddess looking powerful with my Mother in her most opulent form- a heavenly-white gown adorned with jewels and wearing a crown that sat on her head. She looked as if She could blow Beyonce out of the water.

"You ready?" I heard Ciara ask me from behind.

One more deep breath as I popped a peppermint in my mouth. "All right, girls!" I said as the fanfare blew while the guests stood up, ready to see me walk down the aisle. "It's showtime!"

Don't even think about going anywhere yet! The ceremonies are about to begin! So get ready with your Sunday best and special snacks, folks! It's going to be a good one! Stay tuned!
