Yuri's POV

The ship flew through the sky, I find it relaxing to just close my eyes and listen to the soft rumbling. But sadly today, that rumbling is much louder and much more distressing. Why? Because we're currently traveling through a time rift. Why is all of this happening? Well, i'll tell you. 

15 hours earlier.

I was speaking with Monika and I'm fairly certain Natsuki is yelling at Sayori for trying to sneak a cupcake. Monika was talking about the possibility of being able to go back in time. "I mean, It's not impossible, you just have to have a strong power source." I said thinking. "Even a living organism would work if you found a way to extract it's power." Monika nodded. "But that's far beyond human technology, even Null technology." I got an idea. "Y'know how in Jennurhia they called me Empty? There's one more place that calls me that, and has a sufficient power source we could use."  Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you why we were talking about this, so uh, funny story, I even kept this from you guys. Me and Monika found some weird readings a few days back, we know its some sort of living organism, but never did we ever expect to see it jump ahead in time. How did we know it jumped time? Because the radar said 'Last seen four weeks ahead.' So yeah. Time travelers. So now were speaking about time travel so if are suspect does anything we'll be right there to stop it. "What place is that?" Monika asked confused. "You're really going to hate this, but, the Void." Monika, as predicted, hated it. "We can't go there, especially not me! Null Beings and Voidlings have been at war since the begining of time! Your the only exception to my rule of never trusting a Voidling." I nodded. "I know, which is why I'm going by myself." That didn't help Monika at all. "You can't go by yourself." I smiled. "I already am." I snapped my fingers and created a portal. "Yuri stop!" Monika screeched. I put one foot into the portal. "Yuri Cross Kimura get your ass back here now." Monika used the mum voice. I sat back down on the couch and closed the portal. "Your not going there alone. If it's absolutely necessary then I'll join you, but right now were not completely sure if this time traveler is good or bad." I nodded.

If you think I didn't go back into the portal the second I was out of sight you obviously don't know Kimura kids. Never learn, always get caught. I jumped through the portal and rolled into the Void. God it's been a long time, and it's still just as chaotic as before. Aha look at that someone just shot a bird out of the sky. I walked through a main town. The Void isn't pretty at all, there's no royalty, no rules, just pure chaos, the ones on top are those who emit a high amount of strength, oh yeah, in the Void people can actually sense your strength. Since I'm fairly strong not my people bother to mess with me. But there's always that one guy, isn't there? "Hey you!" I turned around and saw a man who was completely black. I pointed at myself as to ask if he meant me. "Yeah you purpled haired bitch!" I raised a brow. "You sure you want to challenge me?" I walked over to the guy, he's a typical drunk, probably won't even remember this fight, but he'll definitely know he got into one, why? Because if he actually does want to fight i'll make sure to give him some scars to tell his friends about. He nodded. "Yeah, sure am, I know I can take on a weak ass bitch like you!" He rushed at me. I moved out of the way effortlessly. "Tsk tsk, you don't even have a plan." I grabbed the collar of his shirt from behind and slammed him into the ground. That was easy, he passed out. I continued on my way leaving behind a staring crowd of fearful people.

After about a half hour of walking I reached the place where I needed to be. Now normally you'd have to fight the guard to be able to even look at something as precious as these little cores, but thankfully, I have family and friends here, I have friends everywhere, really. "Hey there starlight, long time no see!" A voice shouted from behind the large guard who stepped out of the way to reveal,

my uncle Mournhood. "I could say the same to you, not even thinking about visiting your niece once, smh! Plus, I've grown out of the nickname starlight." I said jokingly. Mournhood laughed. "Anyway, what brings ya to the Void this time? Need somethin? I still owe ya for your last visit." I nodded. "Yeah, do you still have that core?" Mournhood smiled. "I sure do, I'll go grab it for ya."

A few minutes later Mournhood came back with a crystal, it's completely blue and has a symbol of lightning engraved in the middle. "'Ere you go, consider us even now." Mournhood handed me the crystal. "Thanks, I'll be sure to visit you more often if you promise to visit me at least once." Mournhood chuckled. "I'll put that on my calendar then, I'd love to visit if you'd have me!" I smiled and bided him a good day. 

I opened a portal and jumped through it with the crystal, and there I was met with possibly the end of my life. Monika stood infront of me with her arms crossed. I stood up. "Ehe, hi." I waved awkwardly. "You, are in big trouble." Monika threatened. I feel like i'm a kid again, not because I feel free or any of that, but I used to get in trouble a lot as a kid and this was always the site I was met with afterwards, I told you Kimura kids always get caught. Monika grabbed me by my ear and dragged me out into the living room. "Ow! Ow.... ow.... ow." Monika sat down on the white chair and I sat on the couch. "Why did you do that? You could have gotten killed!" Monika demanded an answer. "But, I didn't get killed, and I got the crystal we needed, so everything ended well." I said in response. Monika sighed. "That is true." Am I about to get out of jail free? "But you still shouldn't've done that." Nope. I scratched the back of my neck. "Well, I know that we need this, so I was determined to get it." Monika sighed. "Well, I can't do what I used too to teach you a lesson, so instead," Monika thought. "Natsuki!" Monika yelled. A few seconds later Natsuki came into the room. "What?" She asked full of attitude. "I was just about to kick Sayori's ass yet again on Street Fighter." Monika giggled and whispered something into Natsuki's ears. Natsuki's eyes lit up and she giggled when Monika finished. Oh jeez. "Hand me the crystal, Yuri." Monika reached for the crystal. I handed it to her. "Your both excused." She said trying to hold in a laugh. Natsuki grabbed my arm and dragged me into our room. Natsuki sat me down on the bed. "Wait right there!" She ran off to the dresser. "Close your eyes." Natsuki demanded, she sounded happy. I closed them as requested. I felt something being slipped over my head, a headband? Why would having a headband on be teaching me a lesson? "You can open your eyes now!" Natsuki said happily. "I've waited forever to put this on you." She mumbled, I heard her. "Put what on me?" I opened my eyes and looked at her confused. "Oh, you heard that?" I nodded. Natsuki grabbed my arm yet again and led me to the nearest mirror. I looked in the mirror and blushed up. It was indeed a headband, it was purple and had purple fluffy kitty ears on it. I looked at Natsuki "Why did you buy this?" Natsuki smiled. "Because I thought it would look cute on you, and it does!" She set her hands on her hips proudly. She's lucky I don't have the heart to deny her. I sighed. "How long do I have to wear it?" Natsuki's smile became devious. "As long as I want." I blushed up more. "What!?" Natsuki's smile grew wider by the second. "That's what Monika said!" I sighed again. "Okay." Natsuki's smile returned to a purely happy one. "Yay!" She hugged me. I smiled. I told you I cant deny her.

I walked out into the living room, wearing the headband. Natsuki and Sayori had resumed their match of Street Fighter. Sayori agreed on the fact that I looked cute in the headband, as did Monika. I sat down on the couch embarrassed, covering my face with my hands. "Aww Yuri! It's okay!" Natsuki scooched beside me hugging me again. I grumbled, then got an idea. I smirked. "If I have to sit through this embarrassment then you have to!" I pulled Natsuki into my lap. Meanwhile Sayori had taken the opportunity to finish off Natsuki in the game. "Nooo!" Natsuki exaggerated her defeat by grabbing her neck and falling onto my chest. I giggled. "Sayori could you hand me the controller?" Sayori nodded and handed me the controller Natsuki was using. I cleared my throat. "夏樹、私はあなたを復讐し、あなたの名誉を回復します!" Natsuki's eyes lit up and Sayori became confused. "You know Japanese?" She asked happily. I nodded. "What did she say?" Sayori tilted her head. Natsuki chuckled in pity. "She said, Natsuki, I will avenge you and restore your honor!" Sayori giggled. "You're on!"

Everything was okay for a good amount of time. Monika left a while ago to start working with the crystal. I have now whooped Sayori's ass on Street Fighter ten times. Natsuki had cheered me on.  Monika rushed upstairs with a smile on her face. "I figured it out! We have time travel!" She yelled happily. Sayori clapped her hands. "Let's go try it out!" She suggested. Monika nodded. "What time in history?" She asked. "1950!" Natsuki immediately blurted out. Monika giggled. "Alright then!" She rushed back downstairs to set up. "Were leaving in three... two... one!" Monika yelled to us as she counted down soon a mix of colors and patters appeared outside of the ship as we traveled back in time. The rumbling of the ship was soft, until it wasn't. Suddenly the rumbling of the engine became much louder. Monika rushed up. "I knew I should have tested it multiple times!" She said before we stopped traveling. Monika checked the time and year. "We've ended up in 1830. The machine is fried and it's going to take a while to fix, especially given the time period we're in.

We're stuck in the past."
