Jin's POV 🌸

"Akami?" I began as I looked over at him, concernedly.

Akami didn't respond.

He was just completely still and quiet...His head was lowered to the point where he looks like he was staring at the floor sadly.

Even though I'm not a Lucario, I happened to notice that something's wrong with Akami.

"Akami? What's wrong?" I asked as I removed his arms from my waist before turning around and getting down to his level.

His head still remained lowered as he stared at the floor.

I lifted Akami's head up so I can look at him in eye contact.

When I looked at Akami, I suddenly stared at him in shock.

Akami had a sad look on his face and when I looked at his eyes, I noticed that tears were beginning to appear in his eyes and started running down to the sides of his face.

"Akami? What's the matter? Why are you crying?" I asked.

Akami still didn't say anything and just gave me another hug.

"Akami???"

After for a few moments, I suddenly heard him crying.

Akami's grip tightened a little bit as he continued crying.

I looked over at Akami and started to rub his back soothingly, while I began to shush him gently.

"Akami....What's wrong? Why are you crying?" I asked after Akami started to quiet down and when his grip loosened a little.

Akami sniffed as he looked over at me.

"I...I...I want to go with you...I want to stay by your side!!!" Akami said as tears began to appear in his eyes and started running down to the sides of his face again.

I looked at Akami in surprise as Akami parted himself from me.

Akami.....wants me to be his trainer?

No way!

And I always wanted a Riolu/Lucario ever since I was little.

But....The rumors and the legend about him...

Is it all true?

While trying to decide whenever or not I should keep him and accept Akami into my team, Houndoom looked over and nudged me towards Akami a bit.

"Houndoom? What are you - - " I began but then was interrupted as Houndoom grabbed my sleeve with her teeth.

Then Houndoom began tugging my sleeve towards Akami as she started to whimpering a little.

"Are you telling me that Akami should come with us and join our team?" I asked.

Houndoom nodded.

"Well...Okay. But, let me see if we have a spot for one more pokémon..." I began as I took out and then started to look at the pokéballs that I have.

Just in Houndoom and Akami's luck, there is one pokéball left that still doesn't have a pokémon in it yet.

"Hey, you're in luck! I have one pokéball left that still doesn't have a pokémon yet..." I said as I took the pokéball out.

Akami letted out a silent breath of relief.

"Are you ready, Akami?" I asked.

Akami nodded and moved a few steps away from me so, I can have a good distance to toss the pokéball.

"Alright, then....Here we go!" I said as I tossed the pokéball at Akami.

Once Akami was hit by the pokéball, he was suddenly enveloped in red light and vanished inside the pokéball.

After Akami vanished inside the pokéball, the pokéball started shaking for a moment.

Then the pokéball went completely still for the next few minutes.

When nothing happened to the pokéball, I pumped my fist in the air.

"Yes! I caught him!" I cheered.

Houndoom letted out a small excited howl.

Then I picked up the pokéball and tossed it into the air.

"C'mon out, Akami!" I said.

Akami came out of the pokéball as the blue light vanished.

After he was out of the pokéball, Akami ran over to me and then gave me a tight hug.

"Thank you so much for this. I'm so happy you're my trainer now..." Akami said as he rested his chin on my shoulder before he suddenly fell asleep on me.

I looked at Akami in surprise and then smiled as I chuckled a little.

"You're welcome, Akami..." I whispered in his ear before picking him up in my arms as I stood up.

Then me and Houndoom headed out of the Poké Center after thanking Nurse Joy for her help.
