Jin's POV 🌸

Akami took the stone from my hand before I gave him a hug and started to rub his back soothingly.

"...I hope you're not too upset at me for this..." I finished as I rested my chin on Akami's shoulder.

I felt something wet hit my shoulder and immediately noticed that Akami was starting to cry.

I moved him from my shoulder and held him close as he buried his face in my chest.

I started to shush Akami gently as I looked at him like how a mother would look at her child if the child was in tears.

"It's okay.....It's okay.....I'm not angry at you...It's alright, Akami." I said to him soothingly.

After a few minutes, Akami started to calm down.

I smiled and kissed him on the forehead as I looked at him.

"I'm really sorry if I was being a little bit hard and forceful on you..." I said as I looked at Akami in the eyes.

"It's okay...I know you were doing that to see if I had the stone...But, I should be the one apologizing however..." Akami replied to me as he sniffed and wiped his eyes a little.

"Why?" I asked as I gave Akami a confused look.

"For hiding the Lucarionite from you and not telling you about it..." Akami replied. "I was really scared of how would you react to this if I told you...I thought you would be mad at me."

I gave Akami another hug.

"Silly. What makes you think that I'd be angry at you over a Lucarionite? That's ridiculous and very stupid...

Sure, I'm a little bit annoyed at you for hiding it from me and not telling me about it...But, I forgive you..." I said after I parted from him.

"Thanks, Jin...And I forgive you too." Akami replied as he smiled at me.

After that, I stood up and held Akami's paw as he stayed close to me.

"Just out of curiosity, Korrina, why'd you ask me about the Lucarionite for?" I asked as I looked at her.

Korrina smiled.

"It's a surprise...You'll really like it." Korrina replied. "When you and Akami have recovered from the injuries you got, I'll tell you at Coumarine City. We can meet up over at the Tower of Mastery."

I looked at Korrina, impressed.

"Is this your way of saying, "I challenge you to a pokémon battle" in order to find out what the surprise is?" I asked as I snickered a little at my joke.

Korrina nodded.

"Yup! You can head over to Coumarine City once you and Akami have fully recovered...If you wanna know what the surprise is." Korrina replied as she teased me a little.

I smiled.

"Don't worry. I'll be there." I replied back.

"Great! I'll see you later..." Korrina said as she smiled and waved me goodbye.

I waved her goodbye too as me and Akami left the Poké Center.

As me and Akami were heading on our way back to my house, I noticed that Akami was having a little bit of trouble walking.

I smiled and stopped as I crouched down.

Akami gave me a confused look as I did that.

"C'mon...We don't have time all day." I said as I looked over my shoulder at him.

"What do you mean? And why are you doing that?" Akami asked.

"I'm offering you a piggyback ride...What else am I doing?" I asked as I smirked a little.

Akami nodded in understanding before he climbed on my back and wrapped his arms around my lower chest.

I lifted Akami off his feet and started to carry him as we continued to head back to my home.

"The reason why I offered you a piggyback is because I noticed you were having problems walking a little..." I explained as I looked at Akami.

Akami gave me a surprised look before he smiled and rested his head on the back of my neck.

"That's okay...I understand." Akami said as he smiled. "I just wanted to be close to you anyways..."
