☾Chapter 35

WARNING: Graphic chapter, explicit detail. Kind of long, too. Enjoy :)

I toss and turn in the dark, unable to control the flashbacks of the times that I was raped which I still have nightmares about. I'm not perfect, I'm damaged, and I try my hardest to lead on with my life, but the memories are edged in my brain, making it impossible to forget and nearly impossible to stop thinking about.

"Oh yeah," uncle Peter moans, slowly pressing himself down onto me. Laying on my stomach, he smooths my hair and kisses my upper back. "Allison, Allison, Allison," he whispers as my face is being squashed into the pillow repeatedly.

I try to scream but his hand is covered around my mouth strongly, leaving my screams muffled.

"Shh, shh, you know you want this," he whispers right in my ear.

"You know, you look beautiful in that lingerie. I do give good gifts, don't I?" He says with a smirk.

I try elbowing him off of me, but his weight on me is too much. Tears are streaming down my face now, and the more I struggle, the more he presses himself into me, leaving me to cry out in pain.

"If you don't wanna be something substantial with me, then why do you leave me wanting more? I know you want it," he says.

I kick and pinch him, biting his arm, feeling angry at this point, trying everything, but nothing is working. "Wow there cowgirl – actually, that's a really good position."

He lifts me up and places me on top of his lap, which I then find the opportunity to punch him in the face as hard as I can. "OUCH, FUCK!" he screams, holding his eye.

I quickly grab my clothes from the floor as fast as I can, and run out of the house screaming, "HELP, SOMEONE, PLEASE-"

CRASH!

I jump up and clutch my chest, breathing heavily. It was just a nightmare...just a nightmare.

But that crash sure sounded real. Sure, my nightmares are very vivid, but I can tell the difference between the two. I sit up and listen carefully, hearing more noise coming from another room, followed by a really loud, little scream.

I run out of my room, looking left and right down the hallway. I see glass shattered on the floor on the far left side of the hallway, along with a rock.

I walk up to it and examine it; there's a sticky-note attached to the rock. I slowly pick it up, my hands shaking, and the note reads:

TIME TO PLAY

PAYBACK'S A BITCH.

I look into Paris' room, directly opposite where the rock was smashed out the window from, rushing in and looking around; she's gone. The window is smashed to pieces, curtains breezing around in the wind.

"PARIS!" I scream, looking out the window, but only seeing an old car quickly drive away.

My whole body starts shaking.

No, please no. Not Paris.

I walk out and scream down the hallway, "DAD! LISA!"

They instantly rush out, Dad frantically asking, "Allison? What happened?"

"Paris is gone!" I yell.

"What? Gone where?" Lisa asks in panic.

"I don't know, but I saw a car back-out of the driveway and this note attached to the rock somebody broke the window with!" I hold up the note and Dad and Lisa read it, covering their mouths with their hand.

"Oh my God!" Lisa yells, rushing into Paris' room. "MICHAEL, SHE'S GONE!" she screams, crying hysterically.

Dad runs in the room after her and looks out the window, looking shaken up and scared. "Call the police, now!" he yells to me.

I run downstairs and grab the telephone, hearing Lisa and Dad scream, cry and panic from upstairs, my hands shaking as I dial 911.

"911, what's your emergency?" the woman asks.

"Y-Yes, please help me," I say, trying to speak properly, "my little sister has been kidnapped! Someone threw a rock into her bedroom window with a threatening note on it, and when I look out the window a car speeds off as quickly as possible!" I breathe heavily.

"Okay sweetheart calm down, I need you to calm down for me, please state your name and address."

"A-Allison Jackson, 5225 Figueroa Mountain Road, Los Olivos."

"What the hell do you mean until tomorrow?" Lisa shouts at the police officer, bobbing a crying Prince up and down, frustrated with their work on finding Paris.

"Look, ma'am, these things happen-"

She cuts him off, "If I hear one more time that "these things happen" I swear to God I will fucking-"

"Lisa honey, stop," Dad interrupts. "It's not good for the baby." He rubs her stomach, leading her to the couch.

"Just please, help us find our daughter," says Dad.

The policeman sighs. "Sir like I said, these cases take time, but I promise we're doing everything we can to find your daughter."

"Well, what about the note?" I ask, handing him the threat sticky-note that was attached to the rock.

He examines it and nods. "We'll figure it out sooner than you'd expect. In the meantime, try to stay calm, lock your doors, we'll be checking in on you from time to time," he says.

The little buzzer speaker thingy on his shirt goes off. "I promise Mr and Mrs Jackson, we'll find her," he says, taking the picture of Paris from Dad and walking out.

"How the fuck are we supposed to stay calm until whenever the hell it could be until she's found?" Lisa screeches, standing up.

"Lisa, please-" Dad begins.

"No, you please, Michael. I just want my baby back," she says with a sob, crying again. Dad embraces her and they cry together.

"I know," he wipes his eyes, "I know, I do too."

Tears shed from my eyes as well and I wipe them away. I look over at Prince and he starts to cry as well. I think he knows his sister is missing. I walk over to him and kiss his cheek.

Somehow, my mind keeps going back to Kyle. There's only so much I remember of him, but at the same time, I can rule out whenever I feel like he would do something like this. The only question is, how did he manage to jump the gate and collect Paris so smoothly?

"It's Kyle," I suddenly say. It feels weird coming off the tongue,

since I haven't spoken his name in years.

"W-What?" Dad asks.

"I know it's him. Think about it, the note says "payback is a bitch" what else could that mean? Who else would be trying to get payback?"

Dad shakes his head. "But, payback for what?" he asks.

"I don't know! Maybe from taking me away from him, jealousy, spite, closure?"

He thinks for a moment. "Wait, but he's in jail...right?"

"He could've broken out, I don't know. So, so I have to go after him!" I blurt.

"Excuse me?" says Lisa.

"Please, it's the only way, I have to! I know it's him, I just know it!"

"Allison, do you realize what you're saying right now!?" Dad asks, looking perplexed.

I throw my head back and groan. "Yes, I know," I look at him, "Dad, I know."

"And what if it isn't him?" Lisa questions. "You'd be putting yourself in danger just by going out there for nothing."

"Well I have to do something! I'm not going to just sit here for hours and do nothing, I'm sorry guys," I say.

"Allison, don't," Dad warns.

"Oh yeah? And who's going to stop me?"

Dad and Lisa exchange looks.

"And you know what," I begin walking upstairs, "if you don't let me go, so help me God I'm just gonna run out and go myself, because unlike you two, I'm going to find her – she's my sister."

"Allison-" Lisa begins.

"And no one is going to stop me!" I yell, running upstairs to my room and locking the door. I hear them running up after me, banging on the door to open up.

"Allison don't you dare go out there!" Dad calls.

I ignore them both, shutting out their voices and changing out of my pyjamas into my blue skinny jeans, combat boots, a white shirt and a warm checked jacket over it. I fix my hair up, leaving it out and clipping the front half to the side. I stuff some money into my jacket pocket, along with my cell-phone, sliding my window open and looking out.

"Allison if you don't open this door right now, we're unlocking it!"

I waste no time as I carefully climb out of the window, stepping onto a tall tree, holding onto it and looking down.

The door opens as Dad and Lisa barge in, seeing what I'm about to do, they both yell, "STOP!"

I look back inside and back down again. I draw a deep breath in and exhale it; for Paris.

I jump down and run to the front of the gate, past all the rides. Dad's probably going to call in security to lock it, but I can jump a gate to save my life. All that practice, look at what I'm using it for.

Just as I thought – I see the gate about to close, slowly about to lock me in. I'm running as fast as I can to get out; I can see myself making it. I'm then just able to jump out, landing on my butt outside the front yard as the gates click-lock closed. I stand up and brush myself off, proud of myself yet again. I feel bad for leaving them like that, especially with Paris missing as well, but I need to do this.

I know what I have to do, but I don't know how I'm going to do it. I count the money in my pocket, and I have $10. I flip open my cell and dial Amanda's number.

She picks up on the seventh ring and answers groggily, "Hello?"

"Mandy, I need your mom's car."

"What? No way, I'm grounded. What for anyway?"

"Paris," I say, my voice cracking.

"What about her?" Amanda's voice softens.

I sniffle. "She's been kidnapped, and I think by Kyle. I-I know it sounds strange, but please, you gotta help me!"

"What? Kidnapped? I'll see what I can do, but right now I don't know if I can..." she's silent for a moment.

"Amanda? Amanda!"

"Sorry, here, I just don't wanna wake up my parents," she says, lowering her voice.

"I'm still going to find her. The bastard probably took her back to my old house, and that's where I need to go."

"Ally, I'm so sorry about-" the line on the other end becomes scratchy and I start losing her. I look at my phone and see that the battery is running out.

"Amanda, can you hear me?"

"Just-don't-I'll be-" is the last I hear from the other line before my battery runs out completely.

"NO!" I scream, shutting my cell closed and beginning to cry. I look around the street. No cars, nothing. I bite my lip and start walking; again, for Paris.

'

More to come, as always.
