Chapter 29: Epilogue

On a warm evening, Blair stood in the middle of her remodelled shop. All the construction was finally coming to an end; the shelves, counters had been installed and all the repainting was done. The scent of polished wood, fresh paint and the candles on the shelves wrapped around Blair like a comfortable cuddle.

After the entity that had turned their life upside down was vanquished. Tony was doing much better than before. He had finally gotten back to work with Maddox and was able to help Blair renovate Maddox's entire living-space. Maddox's mom had returned to Paris to be with her family after they all learned that their grandma Sienna Steele was a witch, like Blair. Melinda decided to stay back and help Maddox with the hotel management. Nate and Anastasia lived in Blair's house more than she did, since she was always with Maddox now. Life had taken its course once more and she knew they would all recover in no time.

She ushered all of the busy brooms into the closet. Grabbing her purse, she made her way to lock up the shop for the day. When suddenly, across the town a very soothing breeze came howling through the trees.

With a perceptive smile on her face; she slid the window open and allowed the calm breeze to flutter into her new and improved shop. Like before, the magical breeze carried the sweet scent of jasmine and thyme with the slightest trace of leather. The magic danced around her; it was the colour of liquid gold. The amber swirls gathered around her dress and Blair remembered the day she had met this type of magic for the first time. It was the day everything changed for her.

Blair thought that this magic had been destroyed in her locket when she fought off the entity. But, the energy surrounding her this very moment was identical to the one, that had bound itself to her months ago. Blair reached around her vacant neck where her locket had rested; it always made her gloomy that it got destroyed. However, as she stood in the middle of her shop, surrounded by magic, she found solace. Her locket wasn't what was so precious to her, it was the magic in the locket had died during the fight. Except, the same magic had found itself back to her once again making her its keeper.

The bells on the shop's door chimed surprising Blair of the unexpected visitor. She turned to find Maddox sauntering into her shop. His golden aura matched the magic that was swimming around her. Blair's heart quivered and her own magic fluctuated upon laying eyes on his radiant smile. Blair knew that the magic followed Maddox wherever he went, and then, it found itself to her.

"Good evening, Mr. Steele," she teased. "What brings by my shop today?"

Maddox raised a brow. "I was looking for my fiancé," he answered. "You see, I had this special request to ask of her."

Blair's ears perked. "A special request," she said with interest. "What did you need me for?"

Maddox grinned. "I knew you wouldn't be able to resist for too long," he affirmed smugly.

"I can't help myself," she shrugged. "I have a very curious personality."

Maddox came over towards Blair. His lips found hers and he took a long moment just holding her in his arms. "Kissing you never gets old," he whispered hotly.

Blair nudged him back trying to get his attention refocused from her mouth. "What special request?" she asked again.

"Oh, yeah-" Maddox raked his hair- "apparently someone saw something in the pantry yesterday. And now, the staff are too scared to even enter the kitchen."

Blair's smile turned mischievous. "Is that so?"

Maddox sighed. "I need you to see if there's actually something going bump in the night," he requested. "If there isn't, then I can get my staff to continue work-"

"What if there is something going bump in the night?" asked Blair jokingly.

Maddox wrapped his arms tightly around her. "Then you can work your magic and help whoever is trapped in the hotel."

She smirked up at him. "Sounds fun," she said. "Let's go ghost-busting again." Maddox and Blair used the portal to return to the hotel to solve another mystery.

Blair looked down at their joined hands, where she spotted the amber diamond glistening on her finger. Maddox had proposed to her and she had gladly accepted. They were getting married in two months before November. She didn't know why it was so eerie, but she realized that the magic she encountered months ago had decided her soulmate for her. And now, she was getting married to him. Fate truly played a magical trick on Blair Lightwood.

Meadow-Mist Valley was a magical little town, which was the home to a Lightwood witch who owned a rather extraordinary store. In the empty shop, the lights closed on their own and the doors locked without needing permission. There was magic inside the store, many couldn't see it if they were passing by- well...unless one looked through the keyhole. Then maybe, they would be able to see the floating candles and dancing figurines. The enchantments the Lightwood witch showered around the store was for her own amusement. But her life was now changing into something she didn't knew she could have.

The mystical boutique; Looking Through the Keyhole had something special for everyone. One just needed to pass the threshold and dare to meet Blair- the town's exquisite witch who had a gift for helping whoever she met.

-The End-

A/N: Mistress of Magic has come to an end. This was the first ever paranormal, supernatural book written by me. I had no idea what I was doing half the time, but I still pushed through to get this story to you guys. And I can honestly say that his book was my favourite to write. Blair Lightwood holds a very special place in my heart, because she is literally the coolest witch to me!

Thank you to everyone who supported this book from start to finish. It was only possible because everyone showed so much love. I cannot believe I'm writing this letter right now, I feel like crying my eyes out. I feel separation anxiety every time I finish a book LOL!

Thank you to all the readers for joining Blair Lightwood and Maddox Steele on this mystical adventure. I hope you enjoyed their love story and will cherish this story as much as me. Love you guys!!

Will there be any sequels?? I don't know if I will write the books for other characters any time soon. Since I really haven't come up with any ideas one what to do. Maybe after I finish my other books, I'll give this a try again. I'll see where life takes me with this story and it's only if inspiration hits me, to be honest.

Anyways, thank you once again and please stay safe. Enjoy life as much as possible, and like Blair Lightwood, always believe that there is magic in the air.
