(A/n: SPOILER: Newt's face ^^^ when he sees Mia stretching for her test in being  a runner.)

Thomas' POV

It's been an hour since Newt went up to the tree house. Everyone went back to there jobs and Gally is just sitting near by the treehouse, looking at me once in awhile and talking to one of his friends. I looked away and decided to go to the Map Room, but stopped walking when I heard soft laughter above me. I smiled widely and continued walking to my destination.

Mia's POV

Newt and I talked about the most random things we could think of and it reminded me so much of when we were little. Then I remembered a song that Newt and I made when we were 11. I looked down and sang the first lines.

"Tears you try so hard to hide... You hold it all inside..."

I looked back up at Newt and saw him staring at me with wide eyes. "Do you know that song?" I asked, pretending that I don't know anything. Newt nodded slowly. Then I continued singing.

I was already in tears once I finished the song. I didn't even want to look at Newt right now. Why did the Creators picked me? Why can't it be someone else? Did they pick me because I escaped the maze a little bit early? Did I do something wrong when I was in my Glade with the other girls? Why put me here and make me suffer these feelings?! NEWT DOESN'T REMEMBER ME! NO ONE DOES!

Warm arms hugged me around my waist. I realized that I'm on Newt's lap and that he's cradling me. I looked up at him and smiled a little bit.

"Thank you, Newt." I whispered softly.

Newt nodded and smiled. "I know what you're thinking." He said quietly and continued, "You're asking yourself on why you're here."

I looked at him in surprised. Newt chuckled at my facial expression and said, "C'mon, it's time to go down now. We've been up here for hours."

I nodded and tried to get off him, but remembered that he still has his arms around my waist. I looked away and blushed.

"Um, Newt, can you let me go now?" I asked awkwardly.

Then the 2 arms around my waist pulled away hurriedly. I heard the British boy behind me muttered an apology when I stood up. I took a peek outside the window and saw that the Gladers that gathered around hours ago went back to their jobs. I mentally sighed in relief.

"Ready to go?" Newt asked by the ladder.

I turned around and nodded at him. I walked over to the ladder once Newt climbed down. I climbed down when Newt is farther below already. Then I jumped off the ladder and on to the grassed ground. I looked around the Glade and smelled in the air. I smiled. The girls may not be here, but at least the place is kind of the same as my Glade. Newt noticed me smiling and looked at me confused.

"Why are you smiling all of a sudden? Weren't you just crying awhile ago?" He asked worriedly.

I laughed, which made him more worried. "Don't worry, Newt. I'm fine. I'm just glad that you're here." I lied. Well, not really, it's also true that I'm glad Newt is here. If he isn't here, I don't know what I'm going to do.

Newt nodded and started walking off towards who knows where. So, I just followed him. We finally stopped walking when Newt saw Alby talking to an Asian dude. I stayed behind Newt once he started talking to Alby. I also looked away because the Asian dude kept checking me out.

"How about a Job Training? We still got some time before dinner is ready." Newt suggested.

I looked over at Alby and saw his face turned into a happy face. "That's a good idea, Newt. I've forgotten all of that already." Alby mentioned apologetically.

"But which Job will she start first?" Newt asked curiously.

Then Minho raised his hands and asked, "How about a Runner?"

Newt and Alby looked at him with wide eyes. I shook my head at the two and asked Minho, "What's a runner?"

Minho chuckled and sarcastically said, "People who run, obviously."

I mentally hit my head. "I know that, shuckface. I meant what does runner do? As in do they run around the Glade, or something?" I explained my question slowly.

Minho sighed and pointed at the north doors of the maze. Then he spoke up, "Well, do you see that gap between the walls? Those are the doors to a maze."

I looked over at the north side of the Glade and pretended that I didn't understand.

Newt noticed and said, "The Glade is the center of the Maze we are all in."

I raised my eyebrows and asked, "Maze?"

"Yeah, a maze. You know the one where people always get lost in." Minho said in sarcasm.

I rolled my eyes at him and looked at Alby. "When will I start then?" I've never went in the Glade back in Group B, well besides the time when I escaped, but that is another story to tell.

"Well, you can start now. Newt and Minho will help you in your training." Alby explained with a nod.

Minho chuckled and asked, "Really, Alby, I can train her on my own."

"I know that, Minho, but she only trusts Newt." Alby whispered lowly, but I can hear him pretty well. I just ignored what he said and looked around.

"Okay, then it is settled. We'll start now." Minho said and started walking of towards the direction of a big hut.

Newt and I followed him. Then I asked Newt quietly, "Where exactly are we going?"

The British boy looked at me and said, "We are going to the Gathering Hall."

I raised my eyebrows in confusion and Newt noticed. He chuckled and said, "You'll see."

I nodded and followed the two teenaged boys in the big hut. The only things I saw where just chairs. There are about 7 or 8 chairs in a 'C' formation in front of me while there are 20 chairs each on both of sides. I was amazed at how the place looked like. It was more different back in my old Glade with Group  B. Our 'Greeting Hall' is actually in our Homestead and it's just right on the second floor, but only has a few chairs for the Gladers and 6 chairs for our leaders.

"Like the place?" Minho asked when he noticed me looking around.

I smiled and nodded at him. "Yeah, I feel like I am in a court or something." Then a movie from years ago popped in my mind. "This actually reminds me of the court in the seventh movie of the Harry Potter series."

Minho raised his left eyebrow at me in confusion and asked, "What is 'the seventh of Henry Porter series'?"

I was going to explain, but then Newt butted in. "It's an old movie years ago, acted by British people  and it's called Harry Potter, not 'Henry Porter'." He said and looked at me with a smile plastered on his angelic face.

"Wow! That's what the both of you only know? How about your past? And, I am sorry, if I got the name wrong." Minho sarcastically said.

"It's not like I understand British people when they talk too fast." Minho muttered under his breathe while walking off to the corner of the big hut.

I looked down feeling guilty and a bit offended. "Just ignore him. Usually Gally would be the mean one and Minho is the nice one, but sometimes Minho can be an arse." Newt whispered beside me. I looked up at him and smiled thankful.

"Thanks again, Newt." I whispered and looked back the corner where Minho went to.

Minho came back with a yellow sack. "What's in there?" I asked curiously.

"You seriously remind me of the shank, who came here days ago and kept asking questions. Ya'know Thomas? The one who kind of looks like you." The asian sarcastically said.

I rolled my eyes at him and watched him open the yellow sack. Minho took out a mat, some weighs and other stuff I don't know, but I think that they're for lifting and other things you do in training.

Then Minho took my hand and pulled me forward, but in a gentle way and pointed at the mat. "Okay, this is where you'll stretch and whatever you do before training." Minho instructed in a bored tone.

I looked at him with wide eyes and asked in a loud tone, "Wait! What do you mean 'before trianing'?! I thought all of this is already training?" Minho looked at me in amusement while Newt chuckled behind me. I looked back at Newt and gave him a death glare which shut him up and pretended to look around.

I smirked for my victory, but frowned when I realized that 'training' will take all day.

*50 minutes later*

And, it did. Well kind of. Sometimes when the stretching was a bit too much for me, I'd look at Newt fro help and he would tell Minho to let me go on the next excercise. I sighed when I finished the last stretch.

Minho clapped and again for the 106th time of today, he sarcastically said, "Well, good for you! You've finally finished the last stretch of the day. Now, o-"

"Seriously, what now?!" I asked him annoyance  while breathing heavily.

Minho rolled his eyes which is the 47th time for today and said, "Take a chill pill will you. It's already time for training."

I looked over at my blonde friend and gave him a 'help-me-look'. Newt shook his head while smirking. Then I looked back at the Asian boy in annoyance and said, "What do I have to do?"

Minho smirked and said, "You are going to have a race."

"Really? That's it?" I asked doubtfully .

"Yeah, a race and if you win, I might make you a Runner, but if you lose, you'll know what happens." Minho explained.

I fake a laugh and crossed my arms. "Fine, I accept the 'challenge', but what's the catch?"

"You are racing against me." My eyes widen again for the hundredth time today.

1. What is/are your favorite animal(s)? Explain randomly.  (Your explanation can be weird.)

My answers: I like dogs and cats, but my favorite animals are horses and dolphins. For the horses, I am not even sure why, but they remind me of Harry Styles because of their hair... XD Then for the dolphins, I am very sure why they're my favorite animal. It's because they're like the only animals that are the closes to Luke Hemmings' favorite animal (Penguin) and they're cute and friendly, smart and they don't attack like sharks... IKR!  XD

2. What is/are your favorite band(s)?

My answers: Isn't it obvious? JK! My favorite bands are One Direction, 5SOS, Little Mix, BVB, ATL & other bands I'd love to type down, but I am too lazy to do so. XD

3.  What is your favorite name that you wish your parents named you when you're born?

My answers: I have a lot actually. I like the sound of Allison especially when hot dudes say it. You know that Alpha, the best friend of the Alpha, the Beta of the Hale... XD (Teen Wolf puns... Sorry!)

I used to like the name 'Emily', but now not really because 'Emily Duval' is dating 'Tommy/Nathan'... (Another pun...)

I also like Isabella/Isabelle and no, not because of she is Edward's wife, but because Jake likes her... (I am getting annoying, huh?)

The last names are Rosalie or Rosie/Rose and Lily/Liliann. Again, for 'Rosalie' it's not because of Twilight, the 'Rosie' is not because of Lily Collin's character in 'Love, Rosie'...

Same goes with 'Lily' it is not because of Lily Collins that I like the name.

I like the names Rosalie and Lily because these are my favorite flowers, but for the roses, I only like/love white roses. :)
