1. Bionic Showdown - Part 1

(POV) Mr. Davenport

The lab started to fall. Marcus was standing right underneath where it was about to come down. Chase tried to warn him but it was too late. The debris crushed my evil nephew within seconds. Speaking of evil.

"Where's Douglas?" I asked worriedly. This was not good. If Douglas got away then the kids were still in danger. I hate to admit this, but he might almost be as smart as I am. He was the real threat here. Marcus was nothing compared to Douglas.

"We have to get out of here." Adam said as he rushed us out. We got back home and went straight to the lab. I was still worried about Douglas. Knowing that he had been watching us for weeks, he could still do that. Even without he lab. I looked over to see the kids still in shock. I understood, they just found out I wasn't they're creator. I would be in shock too. The only thing I still had to hide was the fact that they weren't related, that would really change things. I'm pretty sure that Chase knows though. He treats Bree differently then he used to. Which worries me, they can't be together. Especially now, with Douglas returning.

"I'm really proud of you guys. You too, Leo. You came back and, kind of saved us." I said trying to break the silence. They were all spacing out. I could tell that the events of tonight would still be on their minds for quite some time now.

Chase looked back at me. He looked both relieved and worried that I had started a conversation. We had no idea where this talk would take us.

"I know that you might be let down that I lied about being your creator." I stopped right there seeing Chase stand up and start to talk.

"Douglas might have created us, but your our real father." Chase said. I smiled knowing that in a way, he was right. I am pretty awesome.

"Yeah, you were the one to save us from becoming bionic soldiers." Bree said as she stood up and made her way to stand by Chase. I felt a twinge of worry hit me at their closeness. If Bree found out too, that they weren't related, that could ruin the family.

"Yeah Big D, lets bring it in." Leo said motioning for us to come together. I laughed as I made my way to the kids. After the hug continued for a little, I started to get a pain in my rib area. As much as I hated to admit it, my swinging high kicks weren't helping in terms of strength.

"Wow, this is the first time I've seen you cry." Adam said seeing my pain.

"No I'm actually in pain, I think I broke a rib." I said before breaking up the hug. Everyone went back to doing they're own thing. As I walked back upstairs though, I started to wonder if everything would always be this way. If our family would always be connected like this. I can't believe Douglas came back after all these years. I seriously thought he was dead. I kind of wish he was. It would have made today easier. Why would he do that to me? We were brothers. Brothers are supposed to protect each other. They weren't supposed to ruin each others families or put one another in danger. I know that I may have put a damper on our relationship when I took Adam, Bree, and Chase from him, but I needed to. He was going to use them for evil. I couldn't let him do that. They were just kids. They weren't robots, or androids like Marcus.

I walked upstairs to see Tasha was already sound asleep. I wasn't looking forward to telling her about this. She would have so many questions that I couldn't answer in front of the kids. Even she didn't know that they weren't related. Come to think of it, Douglas didn't know they weren't related. It had been a secret. One that I never actually planned on telling anyone. But by the looks of things, I was going to have to come clean one of these days. It was a close call today, but I have a bad feeling that things will change sometime soon.
