Why can't I draw what I see in my mind?

All I want to do is a simple outline.

But each time I put my pen to the pad,

my drawings turn out looking terribly bad.

I try to use markers and pencils and pens.

I try all the shades, and I try to blend,

but nothing quite looks like what I see in my head.

Maybe someone else should be drawing, instead!
