10 🗡 Make it Right
"You are that long road; you are that light.
Uninvited and unwelcome, the only person that recognized me,
An eternal night with no end to see.
I am a litter taller than before,
I have a stronger voice.
My rehab, why don't you recognise me?
Oh, I can make it right
Alright~"
- Make it right
(BTS)
Jungkook took brisk steps down the corridor. This morning, one of his men had called, reporting something urgent. He swung open the door to the control room. "What happened?!" he demanded, his tone sharp with concern.
"The Sinister gang has something big planned; they're going to detonate an explosion in that area," one of the hackers explained, pointing to the screen.
"Which area?" Jungkook's eyes narrowed as he scanned the display.
"The location where you eliminated one of their men two weeks ago."
"What!" Jungkook's voice rose in alarm. "Show me the exact location."
A red dot flashed on the LED screen. His eyes widened in disbelief. It couldn't be! That was the house of his hyungs. Their lives were in grave danger. He remembered why he had distanced himself from them, refusing to stay with them to avoid putting them at risk. He had severed contact to keep them safe.
He needed to act fast to save them. The only option was to bring them to safety at Dark Nebula headquarters. But how? He knew they would never agree willingly. They had grown fearful when he revealed his affiliation with Dark Nebula. They might even suspect his true identity as the Boss by now. "How much time do we have?" he asked, his voice tense with urgency.
"Six hours," the hacker replied.
Jungkook nodded, his mind racing with plans. He swiftly exited the room and made his way to his office, reaching for his phone to call Namjoon.
"Anneong Hasseo, who is this?" Namjoon's voice crackled through the phone. Jungkook hesitated, uncertain how to respond.
"Excuse me?" Namjoon's tone shifted, sensing the hesitation.
"It's me, Jungkook," he finally admitted.
Namjoon's voice turned guarded. "What do you want now?" he growled.
"I will explain everything to you. Please, can we talk in person? I'm sending my men; please come with them, all six of you."
Namjoon countered sharply, "And why should we trust you?"
"Hyung-"
He cut Jungkook off. "You told us you worked for Dark Nebula because your father was involved."
"Yes, but have I ever mentioned that he was merely an employee?" Jungkook replied, trying to keep the conversation calm.
"Please. Don't. Call. Us. Again," Namjoon emphasized sternly.
Jungkook glanced at the clock; time was slipping away like water through his fingers. "Don't forget you are talking to the boss of Dark Nebula! JK hates to be disobeyed. I'm sending my men, and you all are coming, that's it!"
With that, he ended the call, knowing he had made things more difficult. But it was the only option he had at the moment. Namjoon's questions were only delaying their rescue. With each passing moment, they were inching closer to the doors of death. One wrong step, and everyone would pay the price.
Jungkook waited impatiently in his office, his eyes flicking to the clock with each passing minute. There was only an hour left, and his men still hadn't reached their destination. The journey from Seoul to Busan was long, and every second felt like an eternity. Suddenly, his phone buzzed.
We are here, boss, came the message.
Jungkook swiftly opened his laptop, his heart pounding in his chest. Through the surveillance cameras, he could see everything unfolding in Busan.
As Taehyung opened the door, defiance clear in his stance, Jungkook felt a pang of desperation. "We won't go with you!" Taehyung declared firmly.
"Tell your boss to leave us alone!" Jimin's voice echoed from behind.
"If you don't come, we have orders to take you by force," one of Jungkook's men replied sternly.
"Come on, Taehyung, just listen! For god's sake, just listen to me one last time!" Jungkook pleaded at the screen, his voice filled with urgency.
"What are you going to do? Kill us? Okay then, go on," Seokjin challenged defiantly.
With a frustrated growl, Jungkook swept his hand across his desk, sending glass items crashing to the floor. He hastily dialed one of his men, the tension mounting with each passing second. "Bring them by force!"
Through the surveillance feed, Jungkook watched as his men forcibly dragged his hyungs out of their house. He hated himself for resorting to such tactics, but their lives were his top priority. As Yoongi, the last of his hyungs, was safely distanced from the house, a deafening explosion rocked the screen.
Jungkook's breath caught in his throat as he watched the flames engulf the once-familiar home. Relief flooded through him when he saw the black jeeps speeding away from the scene, his hyungs safely in tow. The weight of the momentous decision he had made hung heavy in the air, but in that moment, all Jungkook could feel was overwhelming gratitude that his family was safe.

Jungkook entered the room where the six boys were being held captive, their hands bound behind their backs. He ordered his men to free them and gestured for them to leave the room, granting the boys privacy.
Yoongi stood at the far left, his gaze fixed blankly on his feet. Hoseok's glare bore into Jungkook's soul, while Namjoon and Jimin struggled against their restraints, ignoring the presence of the Boss. Jin's eyes demanded answers, his expression a mix of anger and confusion.
But it was Taehyung who held Jungkook's gaze. In those dark eyes, Jungkook saw hurt and sadness. Tae had always been his staunchest supporter, more like a brother than a friend. Now, doubt clouded those once-trusting eyes, and it broke Jungkook's heart. Even Jungkook loved him, perhaps slightly more than the others. Tae's unblinking stare mirrored Jungkook's shallow breaths, each filled with unspoken pain.
As his men left, Jungkook sighed deeply and began, "I am extremely sorry; I can explain everything to you-"
But before he could continue, Jin's fist collided with his left cheek, leaving it purple with bruising. "WHAT ELSE ARE YOU GOING TO EXPLAIN! JUNGKOOK, YOU HAVE BLASTED OUR HOUSE!!"
Jungkook wasn't surprised by Jin's outburst; he knew he deserved it.
"Just say why did you do it! What right do you have to destroy our home?!" Jin demanded, his voice laced with anger and hurt.
The others fell mute, watching the confrontation unfold in shock. Jungkook remained silent, overwhelmed with guilt coursing through his veins. His anger simmered beneath the surface, threatening to boil over.
Before Jin could strike him again, Namjoon stepped in. "Hyung, stop it! He's the boss of Dark Nebula."
Jin brushed Namjoon aside. "BOSS MY FOOT! You and Jimin risked your lives for him! I took a damn bullet for him! How could he do this to us?"
Jungkook clenched his fists, his knuckles turning white. He bit his lower lip, veins pulsating in his neck as he struggled to regain control. Cool down, Jungkook. It's your own fault, he whispered to himself.
"I think we should give him a chance to explain," Taehyung finally spoke up, his voice soft but firm. "I don't believe he would intentionally harm us. We could have died."
"Taehyung-" Jin began, but Yoongi interrupted. "He's right. Jungkook, explain."
Jungkook took a deep breath and began recounting Sinister's plan, his father's history with Dark Nebula, and his desperate efforts to protect them.
When he finished, Taehyung spoke again, "See? I told you, our Kookie would never harm us."
"Not 'Kookie' anymore, Hyung," Jungkook corrected gently. "Kookie is gone. This man is ruthless and unforgiving. You know him as JK, the leader of Dark Nebula."
"Fine, I'll call you JK," Taehyung frowned.
Jungkook nodded, a small smile tugging at his lips as a weight lifted from his shoulders.
"I knew it, you were a professional fighter. It runs in your blood, man! The painful blows you landed on me..." Hoseok closed his eyes, shaking his head in terror.
Jungkook smiled, a glint of pride shining in his eyes.
"I'm sorry for hitting you," Jin spoke, genuine remorse coloring his tone.
"Me too, for verbally abusing you," Namjoon added, his voice filled with regret.
"I shouldn't have doubted you. I hope you can forgive us," Jin's eyes held a sincere apology.
Jungkook shook his head, a small chuckle escaping his lips. "It's okay, I deserved that for lying. But please, don't hit me again. Think about my reputation. I am the boss. What will my men think?" Jin playfully elbowed him, a grin tugging at his lips.
Jimin piped up, "Group hug?" Without hesitation, everyone gathered around Jungkook, embracing each other tightly. Tears of joy mingled with relief as they reunited after so many days of uncertainty.
After they broke the hug, Namjoon was the first to speak. "So, what now? Where are we going to stay?"
Jimin replied, "We could buy an apartment."
"Our money and everything got burnt along with that house," Yoongi stated sadly, a shadow of concern crossing his face.
Jungkook spoke carefully, aware of the weight of his next words. "Would you mind if I asked you to join Dark Nebula?" he inquired, his gaze searching their faces for their reaction.
What do you think lies ahead of the 7?
I cant wait!!!
