Months went by and Dalila had finally passed all the herbs. She did quite well at hiding her syptoms. Sometimes she'd have to puke in a bush. Fili was with her the whole time. Kili and Ragna are still a lovely couple but haven't told anyone. Kili is still trying to find the right time to tell Fili. It's not that he's ashamed of Ragna but he doesn't want Fili to say he told him so.

Dalila has been having some bad dreams. But usually she just wakes up and is ok. The dreams are about what Legolas told her in Mirkwood. That Fili didn't love her and he died. But tonight the dream was different....

Thorin, Dwalin, Fili, and Kili were going to Ravenhill.

"Fili, take your brother and search the tower." Thorin commanded. Fili did so. In the tower Fili sent Kili down because he knew something bad was ahead of them and he didn't want his brother in danger.

Outside a little hobbit ran to Thorin. He told him it was a trap. Thorin tried to save his nephews but it was to late. He looked up and saw a pale orc holding Fili.
"This one dies first! Then the brother! Then you Oakenshield!"
"Run!" Fili yelled. He didn't want to be saved. He wanted his brother and Uncle to get to safety. He was so close to his brother and he didn't even get to say goodbye. But as long as Kili lived it was all worth it. Fili was stabbed in the back and dropped to his death. Thorin stared in shock.

Kili ran to avenge his brother. He fought better than ever. But in the end he faced the same fate. Thorin killed the pale orc but it cost him his life.

All Dalila could see was the three dead bodies. She screamed in her head. But in the background she heard a baby crying. And Dwalin's voice saying....

"The line lives on."

Dalila was tossing amd turning in her sleep and mumbling. It woke up Fili.
"Dalila? Wake up." He said gently shaking her. Her eyes fluttered open. She sat up and hugged him.
"Are you alright?" He asked.
"It was awful Fili."
"It was just a bad dream."
"I know but it felt to real."
"Tell me about it."
"Well, you and your brother and Thorin and Dwalin were on a hill. It looked like a watch tower."
"Ravenhill." Fili said.
"Maybe. But you guys went up there for some reason. You went to search the tower with Kili. You sent Kili away and went ahead. But you were captured. You were killed. Then Kili and Thorin died." She tried to explain.
"None of that's going to happen." He assured her.
"Promise?"
"Promise."

That every broken heart knows. We were walking on moonlight and you pulled me close. Split second and you disappeared and then I was all alone.

I woke up in tears with you by my side. A breath of relief and I realized we're not promised tomorrow.

So I'm gonna love you like I'm gonna lose you. I'm gonna hold you like I'm saying goodbye wherever we're standing. I won't take you for granted 'cause we'll never know when we'll run out of time. So I'm gonna love you, like I'm gonna lose you." Dalila told him. Fili pulled her closer.

"In the blink of an eye, just a whisper of smoke, you could lose everything. The truth is you never know.

So I'll kiss you longer lassie, any chance that I get. I'll make the most of the minutes and love with no regrets.

Let's take our time to say what we want. Use what we got before it's all gone. 'Cause no, we're not promised tomorrow. So let's love each other like we're losing each other." Fili assured her with a soft kiss.

A/N I know they die different in the book. And I like the book ending better. I think it's so sweet and gallant that Fili and Kili shielded their uncle with their own bodies but the movie ending works better with my story. If that's even how it's going to end...you'll find out soon.
