"Hello friend. Long time no see. I hope you've been alright." Thranduil said.
"Yes I've been alright. What do you want?"
"I need a favor."
"Go on." He smiled at Thranduil.
"I have a....pest. Perhaps you know him? The eldest Durin brother. The heir to the throne. I want him gone. Don't kill him or harm him badly. But I need him out of the picture till the end of summer."
"I can do that. But I have to ask what for?"
"Thorin told me if a girl named Dalila would stay in Mirkwood by summers end then I could have my white jewels back. Fili is the reason she'll go back. So I need him gone. Simple enough."
"Yes. I've heard of Dalila. I'll take Fili. Having him in my prison is reward enough." He smiled.
"I knew I could count on you." Thranduil smirked.

Legolas met Thranduil at the gate when he returned.
"Ada, I'd like to have a word with you." Legolas said.
"Very well."
"Did you make a deal with Thorin?"
"Yes. What of it?"
"Fili came back for her. She loves him. He's the reason she won't court me. I want something to be done about it."
"You want him gone?" Thranduil asked.
"Well...yes."
"Already taken care of son. Don't threat about it."
"Thank you Ada."

Meanwhile Dalila was on the balcony in her chambers. It was a beautiful spring day so she was planting some flowers. Astrid brought her seeds from the Blue Mountains. They reminded her from home. She would plant the flowers in pots so she could enjoy them in her room when they grew.

She hummed softly and smiled thinking of her visit with Fili yesterday. She already missed him. But you have to get use to things like this when you're with a prince. She knew Fili would be a warrior so he would be gone a lot.

"You seem awfully happy." Astrid said eating a seed.
"Stop that! They won't grow if you eat them. And yes I am happy. He loves me."
"You have plenty of seed you can spare one."
"I could spare one but you've eaten dozens."
"I'm a growing bird." Astrid defended herself. Dalila rolled her eyes.

"Look there's your elf prince talking to his elf daddy." Astrid said looking down the balcony.
"Shut your beak. And don't be so nosy. It's not lady like."
"Says the one who leans her ear as close to the door as she can. And who read the letter Thranduil dropped."
"I've learned from my mistakes not to be nosy. You should do the same."
"I'm going to fly down." Astrid said ignoring her. She flew to a nearby tree. She heard them. They were planning on getting rid of Fili! She had to warn him! But she couldn't tell Dalila about this!
