"Kili it's only been two days and I already miss her like crazy." Fili whined laying on his bed.
"Here we go again. The sappy, miserable prince." Kili rolled his eyes.
"Shut up. You'll understand someday. I just wish there was some way I could communicate with her besides that bird. I wish there was someone brave and courageous that would go to Mirkwood and check on her for me." Fili said glancing at Kili.
"Fine. I'll do it."
"Oh no! I could never ask you to risk your life like that. But since you're willing to go I'll pack your bags and tell Uncle you went with Dori, Nori, and Ori on a fishing trip."
"It's almost like you've been planning this."
"Oh not at all." Fili said grabbing Kili's already packed bag.
"Yeah sure. I'll be back by dawn tomorrow." Kili said leaving.
"Bye brother. Be safe. And thank you so much for doing this. If I was gone they'd know where I was."
"Of course brother."

As Kili was leaving he met an elf messenger.
"Excuse me sir? Do you know where Thorin Oakenshield lives?"
"Just in that house right there. Would you like me to give it to him?" Kili offered.
"Oh no thank you. I was given strict orders to personally hand it to him." The elf rode on.
"Hmm. It's probably just Lord Tree Shagger saying he accepts Thorin's offer." Kili shrugged it off and went on his way.

"Wait Kili! Wait!" A servant boy called after him.
"What?"
"Fili sent me with you." The servant said. His name was Dimin. He was a great warrior. Thorin promised him he'd be a great warrior when they returned to Erebor.
"Thanks. But you don't have to."
"But I want to. To protect you and get out of town." Dimin replied.
"If you wish. Come on. We have a long journey and must be back by dawn tomorrow."

Dimin and Kili rode on. They took secret paths so they didn't encounter any danger thankfully. They were almost to Mirkwood. Now they just had to come up with a plan to find Dalila unseen.

Will they do it? What will they find? Will Thorin send the letter to Thranduil?
