Chapter 6: I Will Never Know If You Really Loved Me

~(Y/N)~

The day was filled with relaxation and pleasure as it was spent mostly in Erwin's bed. Of course with the few break in between with having to get the children and dinner. That evening, I walked out to the kitchen in just his shirt. The twins were fast asleep in their bedrooms, while I decided to grab a snack and drink before returning to Erwin's room to watch TV with him.

But as I was about to return, there was a few bangs at the front door that startled me. It was storming pretty bad outside so at first, I thought maybe a branch or something hit the door- but then it happened again. Who would be visiting at a time like this? Upon opening the door, my eyes widen as I see a wet Larry standing there. "Larry, what-" before I could continue he shoved a small thing of papers at me.

For a moment I looked down reading the title, it was divorce papers. I then look up at his stoic face, "So you drove all this way- at this time to give me these?" I questioned in an annoyed tone.

Crossing his arms he lets out a sigh, "I figured I'd give you time to cool off, I just want this over with," he says.

My grasp on the papers tightened, "How long?" I begin pausing there as I thought over the last year since things started going downhill. I wondered if he had planned this since then.

"What?" he asks sounding annoyed.

"How long had you planned on getting the divorce?" I ask in a little bit harsher tone.

"Why? What does it matter-"

I was becoming upset now, all I wanted to know is if there really wasn't anything I could've done before. If my relationship with him had ended before I even knew about it. "Just tell me...please-"

"What's going on?" a voice resonates from behind me, I glance back finding Erwin walking up behind me. Handing Erwin the papers, I turn back to look at Larry.

"Larry and I... we're getting a divorce- and I was just asking him how long he's had the papers ready," I answer.

"You really wanna know? What do you think it'll change?" Larry then asks in a snide tone.

"Because, if you've had this planned for more than a month all that crap I went through to try and fix our marriage... it would've been for nothing,"

"Alright! I requested them three months ago," he finally answers, and his response almost broke me. Three months, I wasted three months on someone who had no intention of fixing things. I had gone through his bullshit, for three months.

"W-why did you wait so long?" I ask my voice clearly cracking as I tried to hold back tears. I shouldn't waste my tears on him- he doesn't deserve it but... dammit...it still hurts.

"Does it look like I have the fucking money to find a place on my own? And you were just so willing to cover things because of your 'oh-so-wonderful-job'," he says mockingly. That's when Erwin stepped in front of me, shielding me.

"That's enough now- I think you've done enough damage, Larry,"

But Larry didn't stop there, oh no he was far from done. "But I guess it wasn't just the money and kids that kept you coming back,"

This really ticked Erwin off, so much so he grabbed the front of Larry's shirt, after yanking him forward Erwin growls, "You better watch what you say next,"

"Tell me blondie...how long after she left me did you fuck her little pussy? Hope you like damaged goods," And before I knew it, Erwin had punched Larry. My ex-husband let out a groan in pain before laughing hysterically all while holding his now bleeding nose.

"Leave, before I make you," Erwin says coldly, I placed my hands on his shoulder hoping it would stop him from going after Larry. As much as he deserved it, I didn't need the neighbors calling the cops due to the noise.

"I'll be back for those papers!" he yells as he stumbles back to his car in the pouring rain. Pulling my blonde lover inside, I shut and lock the door in case that fool decided to come back. I let out a sigh feeling only a little relieved.

I look down at the papers in my hands while Erwin stood before me. I looked through each page finding Larry had already signed everything, all there was left for me to do was sign. "Would you like for me to get you a pen?" he then asks.

I look up now to meet his eyes, they were soft now as he looked down at me. I could tell he was a bit concerned for me- I mean I did get heavily insulted by that dickhead, but I knew Erwin didn't see me that way. "Yeah,"

There was no sense dwelling on my broken marriage. If Larry wanted to move on and be with the woman he cheated on me with, then so be it. I had Erwin and his family- and that was all I needed.
